Luxurious Peaceful Getaway-5 Stars!!!
"I have stayed at many VRBO properties and this is by far the most amazing place my husband and I ever stayed. The pictures really do not do this place justice. To begin with, the setting is incredible. You feel like you've stepped onto an exclusive resort. The house itself is modern, welcoming, and extremely comfortable. It feels like the cabin was built and decorated with extreme care and consideration. My husband and I basically used the property ourselves you could easily house another couple and kids.
While New Marlborough is remote, we found access to the Southfield Store and Gedney Farm gave us great "night out" options for evenings when we didn't feel like cooking.
For exploring the Berkshires we loved this spot. Great Barrington has a ton going on and the house is only a quick 20 minute drive away. Lenox, Stockbridge, and all other Berkshire attraction are only about 30 minutes away.
We looked forward to returning to this enchanting cabin after hikes and excursions. We would often enjoy a glass of wine on the porch and watch the sun set and marvel at the setting.
Everything in the house is top quality- the linens, pillows, everything. This place is a gem. We feel lucky we got a chance to stay there."

"We had a great time here for a couple families celebrating fourth of July. There were 8 of us in total - 4 adults and 4 children - and the house was more than enough space, beautifully furnished, and in a great location about 75 yards off the lake. Dina was a gracious hostess and made sure the house was immaculate before we arrived. We swam from the dock and small beach next to the property (although the lake is fairly weedy), canoed and kayaked, roasted marshmallows in the firepit, grilled, and did a daytrip to Tanglewood for a family concert. Highly recommended for a relaxed family weekend. Thanks for hosting us."

"Our family of four loved this house. As stated by other guests it is so much more than the pictures show. We had a full schedule for our trip to the Berkshires but found ourselves arranging to be home in the early afternoon/evenings to enjoy this lovely home. The garden by the river, the expansive lawn and the overall ambience made this a great retreat from a busy day sightseeing or hiking. Great Barrington/Stockbridge seem to be the best places to be in the Berkshires. The locals were so welcoming and the house was central to everything we wanted but still away from everything. We were a little worried when we realised there was a rail line nearby. Needn't have worried - we only heard a train twice in five days and even then only during the day. Everything you need is supplied - plenty of towels and lovely bed linen and furnishings. Families with young children will need to watch them in the garden but it is a great place to sit anyway..."

"We spent a lovely Fall week at the Riverhouse. It is exactly as advertised, perched on the bank of the Housatonic River, with a great view across the river from the house and the deck. All you see are trees and water (and the occasional blue heron and bald eagle). Very comfortable, well-equipped and well located. Bee and her mother-in-law, who lives just down the road, were excellent hosts. We will be back!"
