  • Perfect Getaway

"Trails End is a wonderful cabin tucked away in a beautiful wooded area on a peaceful lake. Our host, John couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating. Hiking, canoeing, and scenic drives filled our days while sipping wine and reading a good book made for a wonderful evening. The Boathouse Friday Fish Fry was delicious. The perfect getaway :) !"

  • Joan M. and friends

"We enjoyed our stay in your lovely home. Your thoughtful touches and amenities made our stay even more exceptional. It was an early Spring girls get away, enjoying hiking and relaxation on the north shore. We will likely be back again."

  • Beautiful and so relaxing!

"My dear friend and I came up for a North Shore getaway -- our first ever together. Jo was quick to respond to my inquiry, pleasant to work with, and the whole arrangement went smoothly. The place was absolutely beautiful -- the views were stunning, and the home was spotlessly clean. It was just as described, and extremely well maintained. We explored Palisade Head on Saturday morning and took the afternoon to hike in nearby Tettagouche State Park. It was a real treat to drive for only a few short minutes and be back in our beautiful weekend home away from home. We enjoyed the well equipped kitchen, eating in on the night of our arrival, and relaxing over leisurely morning tea and breakfast with the cozy fire accompanying us. Dinner at the Lemon Wolf on Saturday night was delicious. If you are planning a visit to the North Shore, I heartily recommend staying here!"

  • Fantastic get away - perfect for our vacations.

"I rented this house for a girls get away weekend with 6 other women. This was perfect for our needs - the house was CLEAN, there were enough beds (comfortable beds) for everyone and the three bathrooms were fantastic to have. We never ran out of hot water, and, once we figured out the heating system (three thermostats) had no issue with the heat. I will admit we didn't actually use the kitchen short of the refrigerator and dishwasher (who wants to cook on vacation?!?) but the location was minutes from everything in Canal Park and downtown Duluth. In the morning we took a walk on the beach before heading up to breakfast. What could be better than that?"
