"My husband and I came to get away for a few days from the Twin Cities to celebrate our first anniversary. Husband said it was the best vacation he's ever had. The property is lovely, very quaint and well kept with a lovely deck and grassy area with shade, a little dock and very pleasant swimming area with a sandy lake bottom. the screened in patio was great for meals and the deck chairs for star gazing. Used the charcoal grill every night for dinner. Lots of quiet beauty on this small lake. Even had some visits from a curious fox. If you want a quiet comfortable getaway, this is it. Can't wait to come back."

"This is such a great getaway! Our family loved canoeing and kayaking around Seagull Lake - we were surprised at how many islands it included. We explored new areas each day. Highlights were canoeing to island for picnic, kayaking to public beach nearby to play in the sand. Hiking and picking wild raspberries and blueberries at nearby ChikWauk Nature Center. We were impressed with Seagull Outfitters for add'l kayak rental just across the lake and kids loved canoeing there to get a treat. Home was very comfortable, had everything we needed and more. The screened porch and outdoor porch were much roomier than we expected. Amazing stargazing opportunities. Also enjoyed meal at Gunflint Lodge and others nearby. We were all thrilled to see Mama moose and baby, bald eagles, loons and more. Cabin is quite a distance from town of Grand Marais, but was just the retreat we were looking for. Judy could not have been more helpful. We hope to take advantage of this great cabin again. Amazing family memories."

"Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us. We could not have asked for better accommodations - everything you could possibly think of was provided. Both Peggy and Jeremiah were so easy to work with and answered any questions immediately. We certainly hope to be back. Thanks again!"

"We stayed here with several adults and 7 children and had a wonderful time. There are definitely fish to be caught off the dock and swimming to do, though as someone else mentioned water shoes are a must, really almost everywhere around this area as it's mostly rocky shore. The cabin is clean and well stocked; the kitchen in particular has more "stuff" in it than usual, including knives that work and spices/sugar. There isn't much around the area for groceries though, so whatever you want to have with you, you should bring.
We rented a pontoon boat from Pine Point Lodge and the owners Jeff and Cathy were great; they gave us a map marked with all the places to check out including several little beaches that were tucked away and a lot of fun to explore, and were just a couple minute boat ride away when we needed bait (or realized we forgot toothbrushes).
There is another cabin right next door, and if there are people there you will be sharing the dock area with them. Our "neighbors" were very nice, and it's no big deal, but maybe good to know that you will be in close proximity to other people if that cabin is rented.
One other small thing to note; there is Wi-Fi, but when I tried to use it I got a message saying that it had all been used for the month. Obviously one isn't there for the Wi-Fi-, but as I was planning to download my book onto my iPad once I go there, that was kind of a bummer. Take care of any important online tasks before you get there.
The area is remote and really beautiful. Most of the places we went we had to ourselves. We absolutely loved it, and will be back."
