  • Left us good memories!

"Annual family reunion with grandparents and teenagers. An old house but surprisingly everyone found their way to enjoy. Never expect a board game can have so much fun. The dancing wii game made us go to buy one after back home. Relaxing in the pool with the wonderful view was unforgettable. Doggy friends are bonus, they were so friendly, wish can spend more time to play with them. Sunrise was so amazing while our stay. Location is very good to the state park. Drive-in movie was a bonus too. Kitchen need a better stir fry pan. And wish have a hair dryer there, we forgot to bring one. Oh, beds are so comfortable like home. This farm house is wonderful."

  • Lakefront Home Away from it all

"We had a lovely 4 days at this house on the shore of Lake Ontario. There are five bedrooms so we were able bring our adult son, and our adult daughter and her husband were also able to join us. The house itself is roomy, clean and quite comfortable with a fully equipped kitchen. It even comes with cable television and WiFi. There isn't a beach to speak of; there are steps leading into the water. We didn't choose to swim in the lake, but my daughter and her husband were able to launch their kayaks from the backyard. Mostly, we enjoyed being able to sit and read with a glass of wine and look out at the lake. The yard was big enough for us to play croquet with the set that comes with the house. We drove to nearby Lakeside Park one morning to play disc golf. The biggest drawback is also one of it biggest assets. It really is away from it all. We had trouble finding a grocery store. But there are plenty of farm stands in the area and an EZ Mart in Lyndonville, which is about 15 minutes away. However, if you plan to stay here, bring groceries with you or be prepared to do some driving. Overall, we had a lovely time here, and if you're looking to get away from it all, this is a nice place to do it."

Greater Niagara Travel Tips

Things to do From Niagara Vacation Rentals

The Niagara area of New York State offers a great mix of attractions with Niagara Falls, one of the natural wonders of the world, right on its doorstep. The area includes Silver Lake, Horseshoe Lake and the towns of Lyndonville, Niagara Falls and Wilson. Niagara Falls offers an easy border crossing into Canada to spend the day there. Walk or drive across Rainbow Bridge and enjoy all the attractions along the rim of Niagara Gorge. The other benefit of a vacation in Niagara is the opportunity to enjoy the rivers, forests and natural beauty of the area. It is the perfect choice for those who enjoy the outdoors or those looking for a quiet romantic break away from stressful everyday living. The nearby lakes provide endless activities, or you can just relax and chill out in your comfortable Niagara cabin.

Although most people are drawn to the area to see the magnificent Niagara Falls, the mighty Niagara River and its tributaries provide great entertainment too. Take a jet boat ride, cross the falls in a cage, walk beside the raging torrent on the boardwalk, or take a trip into the spray on the Maid of the Mist boats. There is a huge casino at Niagara Falls, Canada and plenty of other entertainment including museums, restaurants and theaters there. The Niagara area has excellent fishing at Olcott’s 18-mile Creek and Point Breeze’s Oak Orchard Creek. Walking in the area is very popular or you can just relax on the deck of your Niagara vacation rental and count the stars.

The Great Benefits of Staying in Niagara Vacation Homes

The area of Niagara is one of unrivalled natural beauty and the best way to enjoy the peace and quiet of this lovely area is by renting a cabin or vacation home. With your own space you can do as you please, without the need to vacate your room or attend breakfast at a certain time, as hotel guests inevitably must. Those with children will find the additional living space for playing and the separate bedrooms a boon. With your own vacation home, you can prepare home-cooked meals, maintain special diets and save money compared to dining out each evening. With comfortable sofas around a log fire, it is a true home-away-from-home to relax in.

Places to Visit Around Niagara Cabins

Lake Ontario is one of the treasures of this area. The lakefront area is a nature-lover’s paradise with deer and other wildlife in abundance. The lakes provide great opportunities for boating, fishing, kayaking, waterskiing and other water sports. A visit to the magnificent Niagara Falls is a must but visitors can also walk across Rainbow Bridge and enjoy a day in Niagara, Canada. There are plenty of shops, restaurants and attractions in the historic town. Remember to bring your passport if you intend to walk or drive across the border though!

Getting to Niagara, New York

Getting to Niagara by air is very easy as Buffalo Niagara Airport is just 20 miles from Niagara Falls. Another option is to use the Toronto Pearson International Airport in Canada and then drive the remaining 50 miles across the border.
