Relax and Recover
"Spent a long weekend at the cabin in late October and it was wonderful. The place was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed evenings on the back deck by the fire pit (the place is well stocked with fire wood) and mornings on the front porch with a cup of coffee. I have rented cabins in this area in the past and this was by far the nicest. The Franklin area is an antique lovers paradise. The owner was wonderful to work with and I would rent this cabin again in a heartbeat."

"Just perfect. I was hoping to accomplish several things this year while on vacation. I wanted some peaceful time to relax by myself in nature, away from the noise of the city. I wanted to explore the mountains and hike waterfall trails. I also wanted to spend time with my girlfriend and her family, which has become a rare occasion. I found the perfect place to accomplish all of these things.
If you want peace and quiet, you got it. If you want a base camp to explore the beauty of western North Carolina, you got it. There is so much to do in the area...waterfalls, hiking trails, tubing and kayaking, fishing...or if you're in the mood, just relax and don't do anything! Make sure to try the boiled peanuts though, you won't have a hard time finding them...
I really can't say enough about Gary and Cherie as hosts. They are more than accommodating and just really beautiful people. You can tell that they really love their cabin, it was masterfully built and is meticulously kept. The first few nights my girlfriend and I had the cabin to ourselves, later on in the week we had 3 other adults join us...there was no problem as far as space or comfort. I really wish we had a few more days to enjoy!
Thanks Gary and Cherie (and Katie)!!!"

"My husband 2 toddlers and decided to go to the mountainstore and after looking for a while we found this place. We stayed for a week and completely enjoyed every moment. There is so much to do on the property from hiking to just sitting on the big porch looking out athe the beautiful land and spectacular view of the mountains. It was quiet and private. Town was 15 minutes away but going up or down the mountain was amazing, beautiful vista's and waterfalls along the way. An amazing place... worth every penny and then some!"

"The family enjoyed the cabin thoroughly. It is beautiful with plenty of privacy while being close to town. We enjoyed exploring the local museums, shops, waterfalls, hiking, attended the festival and even took a "ghost tour". We also got to see the leaves change day by day being surrounded by the woods around the cabin. Thank you for sharing your lovely, rustic-yet modern cabin. It was a great mini-family vacation."
