Unforgettable view! So very peaceful!
"Very close to Cherokee, Oconaluftee, Gatlinburg, Bryson City, Asheville, The Highlands, Standing Indian Hiking area, GSMNP, Nantahala Nat. Forest and Blueridge Parkway. Minutes from quaint Franklin and Cowee area. Extremely easy and beautiful drive to any of the above areas. Tons of hiking trails and water falls. A photo opportunity around every corner. So peaceful you never even have to leave the cabin. Easy walking/hiking from the front door! Owners very gracious and helpful. Didn't want to leave! Can I move in? Highly recommend!"

"My sisters and I and our families decided to meet in the mountains after Christmas because it was halfway between our homes in eastern NC and central TN. After much research, we decided on Lady Bug Estate because of positive reviews and price. We could not have chosen a better place to stay! The house was spacious and comfortable and the large gas log fireplace gave the family room a very cozy feel. In addition, the downstairs area with the pool table, games, free standing gas firebox, bedroom area to sleep 4 and a full bath was a great retreat for the kids, teenagers and young adults to hangout while the adults enjoyed the upstairs (or vice-versa)! The view From the large porch was 'to die for'! We did a day trip to Highlands that should be at the top of everyone's to do list who stays there! The scenery along the way was truly breathtaking and the town of Highlands was a great place to shop and eat! We all, from youngest to oldest, consider it a highlight of our trip. We even had the opportunity to meet the owners who were kind, helpful and very personable! You can choose places closer to the "touristy" spots but my recommendation would be to stay here, save money on the rental and just do day trips to those places. That's what we plan to do, as we will definitely be going back, and will recommend Lady Bug estate to all of our friends! Thanks, Diane, for making your home available to us!"

"“The Long and Winding Road” Although a song by the Beatles it is a perfect description of your great mountain hideaway. Floridians, beach people, go to the mountains for a change of scenery. We don't drive on mountain roads and they always seem longer and more winding. Every inch worth the drive. To sit and look towards the Appalachian Trail and wonder who might be ready to start their long adventure. To sit and listen to the quiet (it's a great non-sound). To watch the winter birds search for a feeding as the sun begins to warm the mornings after sub-freezing nights. To watch the slowing emptying feeder as if it were an hour glass. A weekend, an Anniversary celebration, a Valentine get-away, all provided by your Smokey Mountain retreat.
Thanks for the extra treat of firewood, though we brought some of our own. Thanks for the clean and restful environment. Most of all, thanks for the great directions. They were spot-on.
Dinner at Cafe REL, Lucio's, and in Cherokee at Brio Tuscan Grill filled all the needs for fine dining. Even offering the use of your Ingles card was an extra thoughtful touch.
We will be back.

"This is the third time we have stayed here at Misty Mountain. The cabin and the surrounding area is truly wonderful. The vistas are one of a kind. There is wildlife to see and places to go in the area that you will never forget. Matt and his family have a true gem in this cabin. I can only hope that it continues to be available in the future because my wife and I can think of no place we would rather stay."
