"My sisters and I and our families decided to meet in the mountains after Christmas because it was halfway between our homes in eastern NC and central TN. After much research, we decided on Lady Bug Estate because of positive reviews and price. We could not have chosen a better place to stay! The house was spacious and comfortable and the large gas log fireplace gave the family room a very cozy feel. In addition, the downstairs area with the pool table, games, free standing gas firebox, bedroom area to sleep 4 and a full bath was a great retreat for the kids, teenagers and young adults to hangout while the adults enjoyed the upstairs (or vice-versa)! The view From the large porch was 'to die for'! We did a day trip to Highlands that should be at the top of everyone's to do list who stays there! The scenery along the way was truly breathtaking and the town of Highlands was a great place to shop and eat! We all, from youngest to oldest, consider it a highlight of our trip. We even had the opportunity to meet the owners who were kind, helpful and very personable! You can choose places closer to the "touristy" spots but my recommendation would be to stay here, save money on the rental and just do day trips to those places. That's what we plan to do, as we will definitely be going back, and will recommend Lady Bug estate to all of our friends! Thanks, Diane, for making your home available to us!"

"I was searching for a view and I found it on the porch at this cabin. I sat many hours in one of the rockers with a cup of coffee marveling at the view which is especially beautiful early in the morning. The cabin was within easy driving distance to the National Park. We enjoyed a picnic in Cades Cove. Also went to Highlands, did a little shopping and had lunch at a wonderful restaurant although I can't recall the name of the place. Visit the waterfalls! They are amazing every time I see them. The only thing that prevents me from giving the cabin a five was the strong smoke odor inside. Not tobacco smoke but from the fireplace. It was very strong and was the only negative thing about our stay. Having said that, I would not hesitate to rent this cabin again. My sister-in-law and I had a blast."

"Woodside Inn was a perfect Getaway for us. We travelled from Maine, our niece and her family travelled from St . Louis and we met here to spend some quality time together. The home was more than roomy enough for the 5 of us. It's country location was scenic and just what we were hoping for. The opportunity to have evening campfires in the backyard was very relaxing. The dead end road was nice to walk along and enjoy the little fenced in fields and cows, with very little traffic. The small pond on the property had 4 resident ducks which our 8 yr old nephew loved feeding and visiting with. The lawn was well maintained as was the home. There was plenty to do in the area without much of a drive. We took a train ride, mined for sapphires and hiked to several waterfalls. David, the owner, was super kind and helpful. We would highly recommend Woodside Inn to everyone."
