"This was an awsome rental cabin that pleased us all. The bedroom downstairs was cooler for me & no foot board fpr my tall hubby. The bedroom on the main floor worked for my mother in law that has trouble climbing stairs. It is away from the city & all the noise. We had a group of 9 people,2 dogs & had planty of room. We were there for my son's graduation from Western Carolina University (about 40 min. asway). We came back to the cabin grilled lunch & dinner, sat on the porch & told stories. One fellow hung an outdoor hamick and took an afternoon nap. At dawn we built a fire in the firepit, made smores & listened to my brother in law snore, til we messed with him. We talked about coming back at Christmas but checked & it is not available. I wished we would have stayed a few more days. The owners are great to work with and did not have a problem that our dog is pitbull. I would recommend this cabin to others looking for a great relaxing getaway."

"This was our second stay at this lovely property in the last 2 months. The Location is very convenient to Franklin and the areas surrounding attractions but also close to many hiking areas including the Appalachian Trail . We enjoyed hiking and visiting these areas . the house is very well stocked with everything we needed. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. We really enjoyed the screen porch in the tree tops . We are looking forward to staying here again."

"“The Long and Winding Road” Although a song by the Beatles it is a perfect description of your great mountain hideaway. Floridians, beach people, go to the mountains for a change of scenery. We don't drive on mountain roads and they always seem longer and more winding. Every inch worth the drive. To sit and look towards the Appalachian Trail and wonder who might be ready to start their long adventure. To sit and listen to the quiet (it's a great non-sound). To watch the winter birds search for a feeding as the sun begins to warm the mornings after sub-freezing nights. To watch the slowing emptying feeder as if it were an hour glass. A weekend, an Anniversary celebration, a Valentine get-away, all provided by your Smokey Mountain retreat.
Thanks for the extra treat of firewood, though we brought some of our own. Thanks for the clean and restful environment. Most of all, thanks for the great directions. They were spot-on.
Dinner at Cafe REL, Lucio's, and in Cherokee at Brio Tuscan Grill filled all the needs for fine dining. Even offering the use of your Ingles card was an extra thoughtful touch.
We will be back.

"Valentine's getaway for me and wife. This place is beautiful and QUIET! Just what we were looking for to be alone and snuggle. The restaurant at the country club is very good. There had been some work on the water lines by the county a few days prior to our arrival and this ended up clogging the waterlines in our unit-Janice and Richard were on the spot and offered us their other unit without question and allowed us to stay late on Sunday as a bonus. These are quality people that care about your satisfaction and comfort. We will be back for sure!!!"
