  • Great condo!

"A business associate and I used this condo as an escape from the normal grind to do strategic planning for our businesses. It was exactly what we were looking for: fun, energizing, comfortable, and quiet. The views of the lake, and the access to the lake and restaurants, made for an enjoyable and productive several days. The decor was funky and fun, the condo was extremely clean, and we had everything we needed for the kitchen. We plan to use this condo again in the future for business as well as personal fun! Daly's was a welcoming local sports bar to watch the Browns game. The owner was extremely helpful in planning for our trip, and very accommodating to our schedule. We could not have asked for more."

  • Peaceful, relaxing Herndon Lodge on the Lake

"Wonderful week with our entire family. Grandchildren loved collecting rocks on the beach. Our children enjoyed kayaking, canoeing and biking the island. Wonderful place to relax and enjoy the view of the lake. Our hosts were outstanding - if we needed anything, they would provide it for you. Only thing you need is your food and clothing - everything else was provided."

  • Quiet and private with lots to see and do nearby

"Perfectly located, this clean and well equipped home had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully equipped, towels and linens, and plenty of entertainment for all ages. There's no substitute for lake frontage and we had our coffees on the deck every morning enjoying the view had fun on the beach as well. The home is close to a large section of wineries and historic sights, as well as some great dining. We will definitely be back!"

  • Awesome Stay! We hope to come back again.

"This is absolutely the BEST way to experience Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH. My group LOVED this house, and we had so much fun hanging out on the deck at night and hitting Cedar Point during the day, looking across the water trying to find Tammy's house on the higher rides. Truly, the house is so much better in person than in pictures. The first floor lobby area is cozy with a dining room, a comfy couch, full bathroom, kitchen, and laundry room. Climb a staircase to 2 other doors, one leading up to a staircase and the phenomenal double roof decks, and the other leading straight into an even cozier space with 2 bedrooms, a living room, another kitchen, breakfast nook, and huge bathroom. The double decks provide a perfect view of Cedar Point, and of course perfect views of Lake Erie. Let me share a few things to sort of ease traveler's minds because I know a couple of my group members were concerned about two things. Firstly, Tammy prefers you pay for the rental via check mailed to her before the visit. I understand how people would be concerned about losing their money or having no guarantee that they're legitimately renting a property, and we ignored this "risk" because of both the positive reviews on here and the contact I'd had with Tammy. She can be a bit slow to respond or get you the rental contract, but I never really took issue with this. So fellow travelers, don't be wary of the sending a check instead of doing an online booking. We had NO problems! Secondly, when you first pull up, the lane is a bit ah well sketchy looking haha. It's actually kind of hysterical how weird the lane looks - just run down and warehouse-y rather than like vacation homes. Then you get to the end of the road, open the door to this cozy, clean home and picturesque views and it's something to laugh about. We went outside and hung out with the locals in the lane on Saturday night, who also make jokes about the lane's alleyway appearance. Then they sent us on a half mile walk to the bar - Sail In - for cheap drinks and a lively local atmosphere. We LOVED it! Make sure to meet Brad, who Captain Rick claims is the "hunk of Sandusky." So seriously, if you're going to Cedar Point, don't pay for an overpriced hotel room. Rent Tammy's house! Our group had so much fun here, and I can't imagine having stayed anywhere else. 10/10."
