  • Beautiful!

"We absolutely loved this hidden gem. Being surrounded on all sides by woods made our weekend the restful, relaxed, refresher that we all needed. The cabin is beautiful and the kitchen is very well stocked for cooks. We would definitely stay here again."

  • Darling House

"We stayed at this charming row house for 4 nights starting 9/27/14. Our son got married in Northern Kentucky. My husband and myself our other children live in different parts of the country so we all met there for the wedding festivities. PROS: The Owner: Lisa was very kind and nice to us, we arrived late on Wednesday night and she came over to meet us and gave us information about the house. She gave us a basketful of coffee for the Kerig coffee maker, bagels, and Graeters ice cream. House: Cute and comfortable Row House. 3 flights of stairs and it seemed so large! We Loved It! We all loved it. It was a different house then any of us had ever been in. There were 6 of us and on the day of the wedding our son and his groomsmen came over and we had lunch and enjoyed ourselves before they got ready to go to the wedding. There was plenty of room for all of us to get ready. Rooftop Deck Absolutely Wonderful! We sat up there a lot. After the reheresal dinner we all went up to the rooftop and you can see the Cincinnati Reds Baseball field lit up and you can hear the crowd cheering, but the best part is Friday nights they have a fireworks display and it was wonderful! It lasted 20 minutes and we could see it all from our rooftop deck! SO MUCH FUN CONS Location: As far as getting to the shuttle and into downtown Cincinnati and the rooftop view to Downtown Cincinnati it is great. But the area is a little shakey. If you go 2 blocks over it seems to be very nice. Nobody bothered us, but it was just a little shakey. Breakers: Lisa did warn us that the electric breakers go off if to many people use the bathroom for drying hair, curling irons, ect and they did, except we could only use one bathroom at a time , with 4 women getting ready that was difficult. The men would go down to the basement and fix the breaker. But she said that they were fixing that. Rooftop Deck The chairs that we sat on were the kind that you might take to a kids baseball game or sit around a campfire, the kind that fold up and you can carry on your shoulder, which is a great idea, except they were very warn and thin and faded and kinda gross. Even though I had some cons, I would rent there again if the need would ever arise. I am probably too picky but this is my honest review"

  • Absolutely perfect!

"This was an amazing house and perfect for mine and my husband's trip! Tom was helpful and kind from the time we got there and throughout our stay! We were visiting Cleveland and went to cedar point amusement park. The drives to and from everywhere were easy and our day spent just in vermilion was really fun! Highly recommend this house!!!"

  • The 3 sisters Get-together

"Once a year my sisters and I try to get together across the states and spend a week enjoying each other's company. This year was especially hard since we had just lost our oldest sister in May. John and Ellen's little cottage proved to be the perfect choice. We rented the 2 bedroom side of the cottage. The unobstructed view of the lake was about 75 feet across the lawn, and could be seen from the living room. (There is no way down to the water) There were several chairs, a picnic table, swing, and hammock to enjoy on the lawn. The huge trees and squirrels were an added treat. The cottage was clean and neat. The little grocery store across the street was handy since we needed a few items. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful, but not interfering. We hope to go back next year if everyone's health allows it. Thanks John and Ellen for a peaceful week. Phyllis, Linda and Joan"
