Recent Bandon reviews

  • Very Pleased!

"We recently had the pleasure of staying at this comfortable home in Bandon. The beach was accessible, the home immaculate, and fully equipped. Great beachcombing, great golf, great time. Don't hesitate."

  • Sue and two children and five grandchildren

"We had a wonderful time and the home is even nicer than the pictures. Don't know if things were updated since photos or photos are not of the unit we were in, but everything was like new and very comfortable for the nine of us. Everyone enjoyed horseback riding and walked to the beach several times. Younger ones went crabbing early in the mornings. We had everything we needed and enjoyed the big, red dog. Was surprised to have horseshoes and tetherball there for the kids. They enjoyed that while we were cooking. Thank you for having us."

  • Congratulations! You've found a dog lover's heavenly vacation house.

"All of our activities were geared toward having the dogs with us while enjoying the beauty of the Southern Oregon coast. If your goal is similar, this is what you need to know about this perfect property. *Tile or wood flooring throughout (with the exception of the 2-bed suite) *Convenient outdoor hoses so you can wash your dog thoroughly after playing on the beach. (I brought my own dog towels but they had a few in the garage too) *Home sits on a large lot AND is adjacent to the Devils Kitchen State Park parking area with additional large grassy areas. LOTS of room to play fetch and sniff right out the front door. *There are two paths to the beach and both are short and easy. Most other properties have much longer walks and many include lots of steep stairs. *From 'your' beach it is 1.67 mi north to the beginning of the most photographed section of the Oregon coast. I ran there every morning from right out the front door with the dogs and I practically had it all to myself. *The beach allows dogs off-leash as long as you can control your dog verbally. This means no chasing birds or approaching others. From May to Sept you can only go south on this beach .7 miles (to the China Beach parking area) with a dog. Beyond there are 12 miles of western snowy plover protected nesting habitat that you can't enter with a dog. But there's lots of room to go north....and it's beautiful. *If you want to visit the Redwoods (2.5 hrs away) know that your dog is only allowed in the campground areas. They are NOT allowed on any trails in either the State or National Redwood Parks. (Bummer I know but next time I'd take a tent a spend one night.) *29 miles to the south you can hike with your dog at Humbug Mountain State Park. It's enchanting and quiet. You can hike the coastal or inland sides of the mountain and it's only about 2.5 mi one way. *The garage of this home is spotless and dog-safe and can be used to leave your pet (for a very short time) if need be. *From a dryer climate? Check your dogs ears often for yeast infections. (Monistat (over the counter women's product) works great at clearing it up) It will be tough to top this property as a perfect 'pup paradise' for a week. I'm ready to go back!"

  • Charming getaway

"The house is quite charming with lots of unique features. My partner and I went for an anniversary trip this August and it was wonderful. The house was a bit big for just the two of us but would be PERFECT for a family with a few kids. There are lots of fun places for kids to explore, not to mention the numerous beds to fit a good-sized family. The only downside for us was navigating the size of the house as we're both fairly tall people. The staircase is very short and walking in the master bathroom is nearly impossible without ducking. That being said, those quirks were also some of our favorite things about the house. It is in no way lacking charm or uniqueness. I would definitely stay again!"

Bandon Travel Tips

Experience a Unique Beach Getaway in Bandon Rentals

Located just 90 miles north of California and five hours from Portland, Bandon has fast become one of the most popular destinations found along the Oregon Coast. This small coastal town offers plenty of premier golfing, surfing and other water sports, as well as mushroom picking to keep the entire family busy while staying in Bandon rentals.

Enjoy Searching for Mushrooms near Bandon Rentals

Taking a short walk along the coast or in a nature preserve close to your Bandon lodging offers plenty of opportunity to learn about and harvest wild-growing mushrooms. Hire a guide if you’ve never done it before, and make sure you pick the edible varieties to enjoy in your choice of Oregon Coast vacation rentals.

Plenty of Golfing Opportunities for Visitors to Bandon Lodging

Many Bandon rentals are located on or very near to one of the three area golf courses that attract thousands of visitors each year. With the backdrop of the beautiful ocean, you’ll find a round or two during your stay in Bandon lodging irresistible. This is a great idea for group travel or special events to keep an entire group busy. Choose between the Bandon Dunes, Pacific Dunes or Bandon Trails golf resort, and enjoy a meal of fresh seafood before retiring to your Oregon Coast vacation rentals after your game.

Enjoy the Water While Staying in Oregon Coast Vacation Rentals

Unlike your typical beach getaway vacation, the oceanfront that makes Bandon rentals so popular is much less crowded and a great area to try new water sports. Rent surfing equipment and take a lesson or two, or spend the day fishing for your dinner before returning to your Bandon lodging. Crabbing is also a popular activity among visitors and locals alike, offering a great way to experience the freshest seafood imaginable during your stay in Oregon Coast vacation rentals.
