  • Great Family Escape on Quiet Lake

"Just returned from a rainy yet wonderful thanksgiving week at this great home with family of four plus dog. This was perfect for us as we were looking to unwind, disconnect from the world and connect as a family. There were many pros: Great sweeping views of the lake, both sides are underdeveloped sites so its very private, very clean cabin-y feel, great hot tub (albeit for four) covered from rain, outdoor fireplace where we cooked smores, private dock where we you could sit on a bench and read or fish (non caught but still fun), well stocked kitchen tools to cook (bring your own spices and such), nice private master (we have two young kids who knocked out in their own rooms), really awesome video collection (really! we watched 4 of their movies), great very big bedrooms and closets. The only cons I would want others to understand before they booked: no kitchen table and sitting around bar for four which was ok with us but may be more challenging for others (could set up card tables I saw in laundry room). And there are a ton of somewhat slippery steps down to the water so not good for anyone with issues with stairs. Tips: I would recommend checking in and then heading out to Belfair for dinner at Caspers right as you go into town (pizza is good, BBQ is great- takeout lunch leftovers) and then to QFC or Safeway right there for stocking food. For a nice dinner I would try Alderbrook Resort about 15 min away (we had our thanksgiving meal there) and for another take out option there was the taco place with good fajitas (El Sombrero) near Safeway."

  • Perfect in every way!

"We had a lovely stay at the wonderful house. The location is simply amazing, and you feel like you're on a ship at high tide with views of the Olympic mountains. We shucked oysters on the beach every day, and our son loved playing with the Lincoln logs and reading Beatrix Potter. The house is super well stocked with books, movies, and games. The master suite is such a retreat--don't miss it. This is definitely one of our favorite rentals of all time, and we can't wait to come back."

  • Wonderful retreat!

"We rented Sky's Landing for two nights for wedding festivities. The first night, me and my bridesmaids stayed there. We had such a lovely time with mimosas in the hot tub (which worked perfectly, no complaints.) The house fit us comfortably (bunk beds, master bed, and inflatable bed in the living room). We had so much fun getting ready together in the morning. Everyone had great things to say about the accomodations. The photographer came by to shoot some photos & even she raved about Sky's Landing! The master bed is a real Tempur Pedic and it was SO comfortable and inviting after the wedding. We slept really well after an exhausting wedding day. The gorgeous view off the master balcony in the morning was a perk. That balcony itself is a little rusty/weathered so we didn't spend much time on it except to look outside. The shower is really a nice touch with the window out to the beach. There were plenty of towels and bedding - we didn't run out of anything even with the heavy guest count the first night. The washer and dryer are nice, too, I noticed. I love all the natural light that the home gets. We didn't really mind that the master bedroom was just curtained off (not a seperate room from the others), the layout of the home was pretty awesome so the master bedroom thing was easy to forgive. The kitchen is updated and has plenty of whatever you may need to get around. There's ample space on the porch to hang out and have a dinner or breakfast. It really is a lovely home. The owners were very communicative and understanding, and we appreciated that! It felt good knowing I could shoot the owner an email and get a response within a day. Even the neighbors were nice! I would stay here again... Maybe we will!"

"We had a wonderful time at the Belfair house. It was clean, very accommodating and well stocked. Beds were comfortable and there were nice linens for the bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen. Easy walk to the beach. Plenty of room for a large family. The bonus room upstairs was great for kids. Plenty of entertainment."
