We've used this unit twice over the years. Both times we found this to be a very comfortable place to relax after 4 full days of fishing, sun up to sun down. Kitchen had plenty of plates, glasses and coffee cups to support 8 coffee drinkers, and all the needed utensils. Appliances also worked well. Large kitchen table allows plenty of room for all of us to gather for dinner. All bathrooms were stocked with soaps, shampoos and conditioners.
For the more refined renters expecting 5 star hotel rooms? The carpets and furniture were clean but they have been used over the years. Its not a brand new, so don't expect mints on your pillow and bed turn downs nightly. For a group of fishermen or skiers, it's perfect! Staying in the mountainous surroundings, using the outdoor activities, its very comforting returning to a warm town home. What else could you expect?
All the beds, towels etc were clean and fresh. Washer and clothes dryer in the unit, no need for coin laundry runs.
Negative issues with rentals in ALL the Mammoth area?
#1 ONLY 2 parking places per unit here!! Local hotels allow 1 space only. There was an overflow parking area available here (not marked), but its not always available depending on seasons, and it may not be real close to your unit, so DO NOT count on it. The parking issue that will kind of squeeze you regarding this unit is it sleeps 10. So if you have 2 vehicles that could carry 10 people and all your gear your fine. In our case we had people converging from various locations in northern and southern California. So car pooling was not an option. We had 6 vehicles, so parking was a continual chess game for loading and unloading.
#2 Unloading vehicles every evening is required due to bears. Remove all ice chests and food from vehicles or expect to have your vehicle damaged! Use good judgement.
Overall, we all look forward to returning next year to this unit if available.
Thank You
