No better place for us! Extremely easy to get in and out. Clean! Hot tub and amenities are great. My second time staying there. Will alway come back. Stop and grab groceries before you head up the canyon and you are set for your stay. Thanks Kevin!!!

Great VRBO property

  • 5 of 5

Stayed at Solitude Ski Resort Powerhorn #203 owned by Kevin Rose. Great little condo perfect for access to the local resorts around Salt Lake City. 30-45 minute drive from the airport. Clean, comfortable, safe, lots of amenities, reasonably priced...what more could one ask for? Only drawback was that some of the surrounding guests in other condos got a little noisy, but then again what would you expect from a bunch of drunk skiers and boarders? Would definitely stay there again.

Great condo in a great location!

  • 5 of 5

We just got back from Kevin's condo and my husband and I and our two kids had a fantastic time! The condo is well stocked and comfortable. It's just a short walk out to the slopes. Having the ski rental shop downstairs was also a big plus. We ended up flying in late so all the grocery stores were closed in salt lake (that we saw) so we ended up eating out for dinner which was fine because we really liked the local restaurants. The front desk has a little store with some basics (eggs, milk, wine and beer etc) so that was nice as we were able to have breakfast in the condo. Kevin was very responsive to my many many messages. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Cozy Condo in Solitude Village

  • 5 of 5

We had a fun ski vacation at Solitude, staying in this cozy condo. The unit was nicely decorated and in great shape. There is a full kitchen, although we really only used the refrigerator and microwave. The bed was comfortable. My kids slept on the two couch "hide-a-beds" and they didn't complain, so they must have been comfortable enough. The dining room table seats six comfortably. The view from the condo is a courtyard (not the mountain), but that's irrelevant to me. My only complaints are that there weren't enough towels for my family and the shampoo/soap wasn't enough for all of us. I purchased an extra towel and left it there, and I purchased some soap and shampoo and left it there, too, so if you're one of the next to visit the condo (and you have five guests) you each get a towel and there should be plenty of shampoo. Enjoy!

Good, but room for improvement.

  • 3 of 5

We had a nice stay in solitude village during the holidays. This unit was OK for our family of four. Next time would probably look for a unit with another bath. The location is great. Very quiet. Ski locker was very conveniently located right by the front door . The hot tub was great/very clean . Loved the free laundry room facility on our floor. Kevin was very accommodating and very responsive when we forgot our room key card at home and several questions we had during our stay .

Wish I could give it more stars. I can’t rate it with more stars because in reality, the unit is pretty dated. Bedding was old (but seemed clean). The pillows however were absolutely awful. The unit in general was NOT spotless (sticky knobs, surfaces, pots/pans, dishes). There was an odd smell in the room. Enough so that every time we walked in, we noticed it and the kids commented on it. The burners on the stove we’re improperly sized and sat at an awkward angle. You could not place a pot/pan on the stove level - irritating to cook on . A general comment – as a rule, ski accommodations should have hooks galore (on the inside and outside of closet doors, on the walls, under the kitchen counter, etc. Even under the fireplace mantle). Lots of equipment and clothing needs to be hung to dry. This unit has NONE. Only place to hang stuff is on the few provided clothes hangers in the closets and on doors and door knobs.

Overall, we did have a good time and the accommodations were not bad. Just, not great.
