About Tim Egan
Let me introduce ourselves,we are Tim and Barbara Egan and we live south of Charlotte, NC. We were married in May 2006 and had our log cabin built in the summer of that year. We love the location and the neighbors here are very nice. We had looked all in the Lake Lure and Chimney Rock area and found this lot almost by accident. We named the cabin after Tim's mother. She had always wanted a cabin in the mountains and after raising 9 wonderful children we felt that she could also now have her dream. We consider ourselves very fortunate to find such a beautiful community.I grew up on Sullivan's Island, & Columbia SC Presently live in Rock Hill, SC
Tim Egan purchased this Cabin in 2006
Why Tim Egan chose Lake Lure
We love the beautiful lake and mountains all around. It is breath taking in all seasons. We took the tour of the lake and just realized how relaxing and beautiful it was. It is an added bonus that Chimney Rock is so close. We went to the top of Chimney Rock and got a birds eye view. WOW it is amazing!! Don't worry they have an elevator to take you to the top. My parents told me to always invest in real estate. It was Good advise!
What makes this Cabin unique
We enjoy the location and all the kind people there. The lake and mountains are so peaceful as is the cabin. We enjoy watching the wildlife...birds, squirrels, and sometime deer. The deck is enjoyable with the rocking chairs and cooking out on the gas grill. We have enjoyed many evenings on the deck. The jacuzzi tub is amazing too! Especially after an nice walk and a quiet dinner!

Loved every minute of our stay!!
This was a cute place close to Lake Lure. Very clean and kitchen was well stocked. Everything was great.
Cute and clean cabin
We enjoyed the cabin very much. Lots of unexpected supplies. The kitchen was well stocked, we cooked several meals there and ate out on the deck. Close to the beach and we did lots hiking during our stay.
Lake Lure Summer Vacation
My husband, 9 year old twin boys and I visited Lake Lure for a week long vacation in which we stayed at Maryann's Cabin. We simply fell in love with Lake Lure and the surrounding areas. There is so much to do. (If you are thrill seekers, we highly recommend Canopy Ridge zip lining.) Maryann's Cabin had all the amenities we needed for our week long stay and more. There was ample space for us to spread out and relax in the evenings. Also, the Jacuzzi tub is a nice feature for an evening bath. Our only FYI we'd give other renters is that there is not a fire pit at this cabin since it sits up on a hillside. So if you like an evening fire, it is not possible at this location. Other than that, we would highly recommend Maryann's Cabin and a family vacation at Lake Lure.
Perfect cabin for our family of five, very clean and close to everything. We enjoyed zip lining, chimney rock hiking, the Lake Lure beach, mini golf, and playing in the creeks. Great vacation!
