With fast cable internet and a tranquil setting, Lake Lanier Getaway is perfect for remote work or schooling. Breaks are easily filled with lake activities, offering the ultimate work-life balance experience.

Outdoor Adventures & Relaxation:
Explore everything Lake Lanier and the North Georgia Mountains have to offer—canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, hiking, and more. Local marinas offer boat rentals, or bring your own and enjoy easy access to Athens Boat Club, just 7 minutes away by boat. Gainesville Marina is 20 minutes by boat, and several others are within a 30-minute drive.

Lakefront Comforts:
This spacious 2-story cabin offers privacy and comfort for all guests. The upper floor includes two queen bedrooms with a shared bath, while the lower level features a master king bedroom with an en suite, plus a bedroom with two sets of bunk beds. The main floor includes a kitchen with granite countertops, a dining area, and a large family room with a wood-burning fireplace. A screened-in porch on the lower level offers stunning lake views.

Outdoor Amenities:
Enjoy multiple outdoor spaces including a large screened-in porch, an upper deck with seating, a grill area, and intimate seating spots. A short, scenic walk down the trail takes you to a 2-story dock in deep water, perfect for fishing or water sports. With plenty of water toys available, you’ll have a blast right from the dock. Two stand-up paddle boards, 1 4-person canoe, 2 kayaks, all with life vests, oars & paddles. Two lake mats & several blow ups are also available with your own private dock with ladder.

Convenience & Entertainment:
The cabin is equipped with five flat-screen TVs for each room & bedrooms, wireless internet, board games, cards, and a washer/dryer. Whether you're hosting a corporate retreat, a family getaway, a girls’ weekend, or simply escaping for some peace and quiet, Lake Lanier Getaway offers everything you need.

Close to Local Attractions:
Located just 1 mile from Nix Bridge public boat ramp and park, and 3 miles from Toto Creek boat ramp, you’re also close to North Georgia Premium Outlets, restaurants, and Chestatee Golf Course. Within 20 minutes, you can enjoy wineries, waterfalls, tubing, and hiking trails. Dahlonega, Alpine Helen, and Brasstown Bald are all within a short drive for even more adventure.

Dogs must always be leashed while outside or going for a walk. Please pick up dog poop so children and walkers do not step in it.
If you have more than 3 cars, park far off the street as possible, in the direction of the flow of traffic for emergency vehicles and school buses.
Please leave AC and Heat OFF if doors and windows are open. The coils will freeze and you will pay the maintenance fee.

Beautiful, spacious and clean and right on the lake! Just under an hour to the spectacular Atlanta aquarium and downtown. The 4 of us had an awesome time! The house was nicely decorated and the host is superb – so many special touches throughout the home and communication is terrific. Highly recommend it!

Cutest little lake house

Our stay here was fantastic. Check-in was super easy. The house was clean and had everything we needed for the week. Plenty of towels, dishes, cookware, even shampoo and conditioner were provided. The dock had floats, kayaks and paddleboards for a nice day on the lake. We would definitely come back again.

Very spacious, clean and comfortable stay. The pics do not do justice even better in person. Our host was very accommodating for a last minute trip and very helpful with places to see, eat etc in the area, and any other questions we had. We loved the view, seeing hummingbirds right outside the window, fishing, etc. The neighborhood was peaceful, safe and less than an hour from Atlanta where we were going for the aquarium. An absolute gem and I highly recommend it!

This stay was amazing! Host is super friendly and responds quickly! The location was super cute and had everything we needed for our staycation. Plenty of beds!! The lake was super cool to be able to experience and we were able to use the kayaks and paddle board. The dock was a nice place to relax and enjoy the view. The location is nice and sorta isolated but not super isolated that we couldn’t enjoy going into town for dinner and heading to the local stores for items- super close too that it is not a hassle if you need any items from Kroger or Walmart. Definitely cozy, relaxing, and fun place to stay! Looking forward to coming back for sure.

Our family loved the retreat in the woods. Great location. Close to Dawsonville for shopping and food, Comfortable, well-stocked house. Lakefront with Dock on quiet northern section of Lake Lanier. The owner was very responsive and our family loved it.

I'm a Berry College alum majoring in Education and Psychology, with a Master's degree from North Georgia College & University in Education, Interrelated Education, and Psychology. I enjoy my 'kids' of 22 & 20, I have a habit of keeping the sidewalks down around towns due to miles & miles of running every morning, reading, learning about others & building relationships, cooking and playing piano. My newest addition is Pelotoning and kinda thinking one is needed at the lakehouse!

Why they chose this property

Born & raised in Atlanta comes with a love and admiration for Lake Lanier & its intriguing history, as well as the North Georgia Mountains. When I was a child, my grandma would tell me interesting stories of the beginnings of Lake Lanier and loved everything she shared with me. As a native Atlantan, I enjoy the comforts and memories of Lake Lanier and hope you will also.

What makes this property unique

One of my favorites is the view overlooking the beautiful trees and lake. It brings a sense of calm and peace on beautiful mornings and evenings. Another favorite is the storybook feel it has outside as well as inside. And finally, the openness of my lakehouse with windows along the back gives the feeling of peace, harmony and comfort.
