Hard working single Dad, who loves the mountains, and my cabin! I live in Fort Lauderdale Florida, by the beach. I try to get up to Gatlinburg 4 or 5 times a year.
Gary purchased this cabin in 2005
I use to go to Gatlinburg area every year for vacation, I decided to buy my own place. I am hoping to live in that area 6or 7 months out of the year. Instead of having the cabin just sit empty, I decided to put it on vrbo, and use it as a vacation rental. I have had great luck, as far as folks taking care of my place. Everyone seems to be very respectful and treat the cabin as their own. I have a few guests that come 2 or 3 times a year now.
One of the biggest benefits you will enjoy while staying at Quiet Seclusion, is the peace and quiet! Once you get up to the cabin it is really difficult to leave, and go back into the rat race of life. Since you are up in the mountain, almost to the top you are up there alone. You are not looking into anyone else's cabin. During the time that I have owned the cabin, there have been 3 weddings there, and several couples there for their honeymoon. This cabin is close to town, so it near everything. Approx 5 miles from Dollywood.
We had a great stay at Quiet Seclusion. Gary was so easy to work with and was very quick to respond to any communication. The cabin was spotless, very roomy, and had everything we needed. We loved the fireplace! The driveway was an experience, but we laughed each time we drove up to the cabin. The cabin is away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but close enough so you can enjoy Gatlinburg and pigeon forge with just a short drive. My husband says the only draw back was no ESPN or Fox News, but of course that is a minor issue. If it had not been the weekend after the election or in the middle of football season- this would not even have been an issue. We would definitely stay at Quiet Seclusion again. Loved, loved, loved it!!!!!
We celebrated our 16th anniversary relaxing and enjoying all that Quiet Solitude had to offer. Neighbors were out of sight and earshot. Cabin was clean and well maintained. Location was convenient to plenty of stores and restaurants a few miles up the road in Sevierville. Smokey Mountains National Park, which was the focus of our visit, is a short drive towards Gatlinburg in the other direction. There were plenty of local attractions near by offering family fun. Enjoyed visiting and eating at the Apple barn orchard in Sevierville. Owner Gary was always available and quick to respond and help problem solve. We would highly recommend for the value.

When Gary says it's secluded, he means it. You're away from all the touristy cabins but not too isolated. You're close enough to get provisions, hit up local restaurants and attractions, and just a little trek away from the Smokey Mountains National Park which you must visit. Don't let the steep driveway scare you, the guest books have entries from people who have driven up it in a Nissan Sentra, so you're fine. The cabin is peaceful and quiet and like it says has an extremely comfy bed. The kitchen is enormous for the size of cabin so you can make meals easily. Don't forget to have a drink or read a book on the back porch as the chipmunks and squirrels scurry around. If it's season, the fireplace gives off a great warmth and glow that is just nice to sit around near in the silence. The small game room was fun to shoot the breeze and play some darts in. The bathroom was pretty big too and the water heater works great so don't worry about the cold keeping you from taking a hot shower. I also want to stress how clean the place was. The cleaning lady Carolina kept it clean and smelling great and she even left us laundry, and dish washer detergent (tip her). The washer and dryer and all the kitchen appliances work great too. Clearly I have nothing negative to say about the cabin. I will warn those who have T-Mobile as their mobile carrier that you will probably not have service unless you are in town. Don't worry if you need to make a call or get online just take a left out the driveway down 416 (Pittman Center RD) for 5 minutes and you'll get full LTE service once you reach the Dolly Parton Pkwy. My wife and I will be going back to this place to get away the rat race. Kudos to Gary for letting us enjoy the great little escape he made.
P.S. Read the guest books above the TV they give you a laugh or two and can point you to some great spots you might not have thought about.
It was as expected and more, I wanted a secluded area and it was exactly that. The place was clean and well kept and easy to find.
Our family of 4 stayed at "Quiet Seclusion" for a full week. As I'm sure you've read in the other posts, the driveway the first time up to the cabin was a little hairy but we managed just fine. After that, we knew how to maneuver it and while we were there one of the neighbors on the mountain used his tractor to smooth out the divots making it much easier. When we arrived the cabin was exactly what we were looking for. It was clean and spacious and had the wonderful cabin smell of fresh wood. The kitchen is very large and is stocked with all the cooking utensils and dishes you'll need. There is a 3/4 wrap around porch with a table, chairs and hot tub over looking the wooded area that surrounds the cabin. The master bedroom was a suitable size and the bed was super comfy. We put one of our sons on the full size futon and one on an air mattress (that we brought from home) in the second bedroom/game room so we all had plenty of space. We did a lot of sightseeing while we were in TN so it was nice to be able to come back to the cabin and just relax and hang out. It's very homey and comfortable and we really enjoyed the comforts of feeling like we were at home yet on vacation. Gary was a pleasure to deal with and his directions to the cabin were spot on. He truly has a special place on that mountain and we hope to stay there again.
The cabin was nice. I'd probably take the pool table out and put in a double bed or bunk beds and get rid of the futon in the living room. Not that there is anything wrong with the futon, it just isn't that comfortable as a couch would be. The unit is very clean and spacious. Much more than what you think by the pictures.
The driveway to the unit is steep and needs grading but that's the price you pay for privacy which is in abundance.
Overall, this was a good place for our family to spend an extended weekend and would recommend it to others.
