About this property
Rustic Lodge Style Cabin located in the Beautiful Flathead Valley.
Our cabin is nestled on seven acres surrounded by large horse and cattle ranch properties with fields of grass, alfalfa, wheat and canola in the beautiful Flathead Valley. The cabin sits privately 50 feet away from the owners primary residence.
It's all open here with beautiful distant views of Glacier NP, The Swan Mountains, The Whitefish Mountains and the Whitefish Mountain Resort Ski Area.
Enjoy the peace and quietness of ranch life while still being centrally located and with easy access to all of the favorites : Whitefish - 9 miles, Kalispell - 9 miles, The West entrance to Glacier - 34 miles, Whitefish Mountain Resort - 15 miles, and Bigfork - 35 miles.
Occasionally during the summer months cattle graze in the fields of our property surrounding the cabin.
White Tail Deer make this area home and are often seen walking through our property between the Kuhns Wildlife Preserve and the Stillwater River.
With 500 square feet of space, the cabin, which was built in 2016, has everything you need for a short sweet visit or a long restful stay.
The great room has a cozy woodstove that can be used in the winter months, comfy leather furniture and a cowhide rug. Also included is a Wall mounted TV, bookshelf with books, movies and a selection of games.
Also in the great room is a small kitchenette with a two burner ceramic cook top, microwave, and a small refrigerator with a freezer.
You do not need to bring a thing because the kitchen is complete with a coffee maker, toaster, dishes, pots and pans, utensils, glass wear, kitchen towels, olive oil, seasonings and amenities.
While only sleeping two, the small bedroom has a custom built queen size bed with a fluffy down comforter.
Only a short distance down the hall from the bedroom is the bathroom. Here you will enjoy a beautiful walk in shower with a pebble floor, one sink vanity with a concrete counter top. Towels, shampoo, conditioner, bath soap and a hair dryer are all provided.
Each room of the cabin has electric heat as well.
Enjoy the views or barbecue in the evening while sitting on the covered front porch spreading the length of the cabin
The Going To The Sun Road in Glacier NP fully opens to vehicle traffic middle to late June. The opening of the road depends on the snow pack from the winter and removal of the snow. Check online at the official Glacier website for road opening updates.
Once the snow plows start plowing the road in Glacier, they open up the road to bike and walking traffic on week-ends. Typically this starts around May 1 through the beginning of June. Bike rentals are available at Glacier Outfitters in Apgar Village near the West entrance of Glacier. The Whitefish Shuttle Company offers tours and rides to Glacier with your bikes.
We would love to have you as our guests in the cabin While you visit beautiful Montana and Glacier National Park!
