About Steve McComb

We live next door to the cabin in the main house. The cabin has been on the property for about 50 years, hunters used to come up and stay in the cabin to hunt. The area is called Moose Meadows. When we bought the property the cabin was just a shell and we have been working on it for about 8 years. We put in a bathroom, kitchen cabinets, flooring and insulation in the ceiling. We hope you enjoy your stay with us.

Steve McComb purchased this cabin in 1992

Why Steve McComb chose Whitefish Lake Area

Property is bordered with state and forest service land with miles of gravel road and trails. Very quiet and peaceful setting. Fishing on Tally Lake you may catch rainbow, brook, cutthroat trout, kokanee and northern pike. Tally Lake is 445 feet deep.

What makes this cabin unique

Close to Glacier National Park, Whitefish, Kalispell, Flathhead Lake and Tally Lake. Miles of trails for biking, 4 wheeling or horseback riding. In the winter months snow machine and cross country skiing.

Cozy, Comfortable, Quiet Beauty

  • 5 of 5

Serene, quiet, and comfortable, this cabin was the perfect place for me and the hubs to relax for days on end. Our host was kind, attentive, and thoughtful, and keeps a beautiful property. His prime rib dinner recommendation is spot on. Totally nommy. Enjoyed snowshoeing local trails and the moon/star gazing was fabulous. Quick drive to town for groceries, shopping, and activities. Hope to stay there again!

Beautiful, private, perfect family retreat

  • 5 of 5

Steve was more than accomodating for our brief stay at his cabin. The accomodations are so well thought out and comfortable. The location is excellent, right in between White Fish and Kalispell. So much nicer than a hotel stay! The bed is super comfy and the rest of the space is as well. You feel right at home. Great space! Thanks Steve!

FANTASTIC Cabin, Location, and Host

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed at Steve's cabin during our trip to Glacier National Park. The park is about 40 minutes away and our favorite part of each day was coming back to the cabin. The cabin was very clean and nicely appointed with all of the amenities one would expect plus more. I think that in this cabin it was the little things that went the extra mile and made this so great such as items to make smores, pre-measured waffle mix and a waffle iron, and all the firewood you need. We did not have to go to the store or have to find/buy firewood. It was truly stress free. Also, Steve recommended an excellent restaurant for dinner one evening, Point of Rocks restaurant in Olney, MT. I am not kidding when I say this was the best prime rib I have ever had. Excellent recommendation! We want to thank Steve for his hospitality and if we come back, we will not even look for another place. We are coming back to Moose Meadows!
