We welcome you to relax beneath towering tamaracks in the beautiful Glacier Country of northwest Montana. Bordered by Forest Service, deer, turkey and wildlife frequent use these 20 acres of quiet, scenic paradise.

Recreational opportunities abound and a crackling fire in the woodstove creates a memorable, romantic experience in this warm cabin that is sure to please!

Tastefully furnished and well equipped, our Moose Meadows cabin offers a nicely equipped kitchen with silverware, dishes, cooking utensils, oven and stove top with 4 burners, microwave, toaster, BBQ grill, ¾ bath and for your enjoyment Direct TV.
One hour from beautiful Glacier National Park and 10 min to Tally Lake. Tally Lake is a very deep lake, great for fishing or boating. Miles of hiking and riding trails in a forest setting. 20 min from both Whitefish and Kalispell. 30 Minutes to Whitefish Mountain to ski.

Moose Meadows is the perfect spot to explore Kalispell & Whitefish MT. We loved the cozy, beautifully decorated, well equipped cabin. Steve was a kind, helpful and wonderful host. We had the best stay here.

Steve's cabin was a delightful stay while visiting friends in Whitefish. It's clean, fully stocked, quiet & private. The host was personable & pleasant and went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. It that's the experience you're seeking you'll enjoy it. It you want hub bub and action I suggest staying closer to town.

Everything was amazing. It was quiet and relaxing and we had everything we needed. Sushi was a sweet snuggle bug. There were so many personal touches and the waffle maker and mix were a big hit. We were there when it was hot and didn't even miss the a/c. Thank you so much!!

Steve, Susie, and Sushi (the cat) were beyond fabulous hosts. The cabin and scenery were unbelievably beautiful, only exceed by their kindness. We literally sat out by campfire every nite till midnight and truly felt like long lost family. After nearly 65 years of traveling it is the only time we have regretted ever having to leave. This destination should be on your bucket list of place to go and families to be near !

Perfect little getaway with a gorgeous view. It was a nice place to relax after being at baseball tournaments all day. Definitely reccomend and would love to stay again next time we are up in Whitefish.

Traveling to Montana and the Flathead Valley was a respite from urban living. The setting was beautiful and pristine with a firepit and front porch, all amid trees, green lawn and flowering bushes. The cabin was very clean and populated with cabin decor. There was plenty of dishes, some condiments and lots of blankets. I was concerned about possible bugs in the woods, but we only saw 1 fly, so no bug spray was needed.It was a short drive to Kalispell, Whitefish, Big Fork/Flathead Lake and a bit longer drive to the West Entrance for Glacier National Park. The road to Tally Lake is gravel and dusty, but the lake looked lovely.We had a peaceful weeklong stay at this adorable log cabin in the woods. It is situated down a quiet road, with views into a tree-filled valley. The owner lives on the property in the main house, and he kindly stopped by to offer information about the area, the history of the cabin, suggested hiking trails we might enjoy, and he checked-in with us in case we needed anything.I highly recommend this "log cabin in the woods" for a peaceful get-away, yet near many western cities, Glacier and more.

We absolutely loved our weeklong stay at this cabin! Steve was there to greet us at check in and was an excellent host throughout. He gave us tips for good places to see and hike in the area. There's a beautiful lake just a few miles past the cabin and not many people there. The cabin itself was tucked away but still perfectly situated for us to get to the places we wanted to go. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Steve even offered us marshmallows and chocolate to make s'mores in the fire pit one night. There is no A/C, but we were perfectly comfortable opening up the windows at night. We all slept well. The cat on property, Sushi, is very sweet and my daughter was sad to say goodbye. Overall we enjoyed the trip and will consider coming back in the future.

Perfect location

This is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for comfort and quiet but still close enough to shopping and food. The cabin has everything you need including a great waffle maker and batter! We can't wait to stay again.

I live next door to the cabin in the main house. The cabin has been on the property for about 50 years, hunters used to come up and stay in the cabin to hunt. The area is called Moose Meadows. When purchased the property the cabin was just a shell and have been working on it for about 8 years. Added a bathroom, kitchen cabinets, flooring and insulation in the ceiling. We hope you enjoy your stay with us.

Why they chose this property

Property is bordered with state and forest service land with miles of gravel road and trails. Very quiet and peaceful setting. Fishing on Tally Lake you may catch rainbow, brook, cutthroat trout, kokanee and northern pike. Tally Lake is 445 feet deep.



What makes this property unique

Close to Glacier National Park, Whitefish, Kalispell, Flathhead Lake and Tally Lake. Miles of trails for biking, 4 wheeling or horseback riding. In the winter months snow machine and cross country skiing.

Note: We are delaying our check-in to 4pm to ensure adequate time to implement extensive CDC COVID-19 sanitizing recommendations. All towels and bedding will continue to be freshly laundered, extra care will be taken to not only clean but sanitize frequently touched surfaces such as tables, door knobs, remotes, light switches, handles, toilet, faucets, sinks, appliances and floors.
Our goal is to ensure a sanitized, clean, comfortable experience for your stay with us.

We will also supply the guest house with extra sanitizing and cleaning supplies for your comfort.

Our guest house is surrounded by meadows, trees and fresh mountain air where privacy and nature abounds!
