Note- This is a Sunday to Sunday rental. Contemporary home, located on a hill on 1/2 acre wooded lot on a dead-end street. The house is an 'upside-down' house with 2 large bedrooms and a bath on the first floor (not in the basement, the basement is another level down) and the master bedroom, bath and living room/kitchen/dining area on the second floor. The living room/dining/kitchen area has windows and sliding glass doors running the entire length of the space (about 38 ft) that lead out to a deck that has treetop views. The living area is one big open space with a soaring ceiling and a skylight. The house is very bright, and airy with large windows in all the rooms. Because the living space is up high it is very private, and the front glass wall makes it great for sunsets and star gazing. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed. There are two other large bedrooms - one with 1 sets of bunk beds (1 singles) and 1 queen, the other with a double bed.

We enjoyed the feeling of being up in the treetops; the decks are spacious & great for listening to the myriad voices of birds. The location of the tv was inconvenient so we didn’t watch it at all, so we spent more time outside and with each other. The WiFi is not strong; it would drop out occasionally. It is aptly named an upside down house.

A wonderful family get away.
This house made our family of 6 feel at home. It had everything that four kids could ask for. Very spacious home with large open decks. The three bedrooms had plenty of room. Very nice outdoor shower. Kids loved that there was guitar hero and a play station. All kinds of great kid games. Our kids really enjoyed charades for kids! With all the windows there is plenty of sun light and there is a very nice breeze on the deck from being up so high. The deck has a great eating area for outside dinning. The kitchen had everything we needed for pots, pans, dishware, silverware, utensils, blenders.... we were very surprised on how well equipped it was. Most beaches from this home are a 10 minute or less drive. Wellfleet is a very nice town. The market there is very high priced and if you get the chance to go to stop & shop get as much as possible so you won't have to spend so much at the local market! The owners of this home gave us plenty of great tips on the area including restaurants, walks, beaches, ponds ext. and were very helpful with any questions we had. I would recommend this home to any one and will defiantly go back. But I would really like to keep it our own little secret instead!!
We had a great family vacation here. The house was plenty big enough for 6 and then a few overnight guests. House is comfortable. I didn’t read the lease and there were no sheets or towels so that was a pain but my fault.

wonderful house in the trees
This was our first summer vacation on the Cape. So glad we chose this house! We were able to bike to a bay side beach, which was one of our favorites. We created some delicious meals and watched the meteor shower from the great deck! Karen was always available to answer any questions we had. I would definitely stay here again!

Perfect house to enjoy Wellfleet
We've enjoyed our 3 years in this lovely, family home and look forward to summer '10. The house is private yet convenient to town, and both bay and ocean beaches. There are lots of distractions for children on rainy days - ping pong, games, movies, puzzles. The kitchen has everything needed (including a new nonstick pan!) and it truly feels like you are in the Treetops. I really like the Sunday-Sunday rental term since this provides an opportunity to enjoy a Saturday night out as well as avoid the heavier Saturday traffic. The owners are flexible and accommodating. We've been renting on the Cape for 10 years and feel fortunate to have found the ideal spot for our annual vacation.
