This unit is less than a 3 minute walk from the River Run gondola and village.

This first floor condo sleeps 4, has a queen bed in the bedroom, a very comfortable full size pullout in the Living Room . While it's just a few minute walk from the village, the location is very cozy and peaceful. Red Hawk Lodge is one of the newer complexes in River Run and is very popular for guests who want to be close to it all, yet still wish to enjoy some stress-free peace in tranquility. When you are not enjoying the great outdoors, there is a large game room in the lobby with a pool table, board games and comfortable seating in front of the large gas fireplace. You can also enjoy the heated swimming pool year-round, and the 2 hot tubs that look out to ski runs. There is also a workout room, steam room, and ski lockers on the first floor. Coin-operated laundry facilities on each floor. Best of all, this complex has free heated underground parking which makes all the difference in the world. In the winter, you can leave your boots in the car and they won't freeze!

River Run village is loaded with shops and restaurants - it's a village of it's own and has great nightlife, shopping and dining just steps away from the complex. It's just across the parking lot, so while you are enjoying the convenience of all the amenities within a short walking distance, you are still in a quiet part of the village. Also remember that Keystone is the only ski resort in Summit County that offers night skiing!

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS: Queen bed in the bedroom with a TV/DVD. Queen sofa sleeper in front of the gas fireplace in Living room.

FLOOR PLAN: There is a fully stocked kitchen with refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, and dishwasher. All the pots/pans, dishes, glasses and silverware are provided. The kitchen is open to the living room. There is a round dining room table that seats four. The living room is cozy and has a TV/DVD and Blue Ray with cable and Netflix. Enjoy a movie or read a book in front of the gas fireplace. This condo has free high speed Internet/wifi. There is a small ground floor deck off the living room that has views of the mountains, gondola and ski runs. The bathroom (tub/shower) is just off the kitchen.

KEYSTONE ACTIVITIES: River Run Village is the center of all the activities that Keystone has to offer. There are many excellent restaurants, bars, coffee shops, as well as many shopping options. In addition to night skiing, Keystone has the Adventure Park, at the top of the Gondola that offers three steep tubing hills. Located by the Mountain House at Keystone, there is the largest outdoor skating rink on a frozen pond with a beautiful Christmas tree in the center, surrounded by shops and restaurants.

About Michelle Pietras

Chicago based, born and raised. Work in the financial industry - you know, work hard, play hard! Cubs fan, marathon runner, skier, very family oriented. I love to travel and most importantly enjoy the beautiful outdoors. Welcome to my beautiful home!

Michelle Pietras purchased this condo in 2006

Why Michelle Pietras chose Keystone

Never skiied a day in my life til the late 90's - came to Colorado from Chicago to visit a friend, and fell in love with Summit County! After a few years of frequent travels to and from the mountains, I realized the next logical step would be to get my own place and rent it out when I wasn't going to be using it myself. After looking at several units in Keystone, where I first learned to ski, I came to this unit and it instantly felt like home! 9+ years going strong and I still feel the same. So, welcome to my beautiful home.. in a perfect place.

What makes this condo unique

I had no idea how much I would really come to enjoy this condo. I love how convenient it is to everything, especially the gondola and the village! Not only is winter the best time to be here, I hadn't realized how much there was to do in the summer months, e.g., hiking, white water rafting, festivals, taking a ride on the gondola, mountain biking (my new summer passion), boating, fishing, swimming (love that pool!) and so much more. The summer festivals are so enjoyable - great for families and friends, or just for yourself to get away and relax..

Great Getaway

  • 5 of 5

I highly recommend this 1 bedroom condo. It is in such an ideal location for skiing, mountain biking, running, hiking, or road biking. This is the 2nd time I stayed here and I absolutely loved it here. The first time I stayed was for a romantic getaway. There is so much to do in the area. The second time I stayed was to acclimate myself to the high elevation for a marathon in Leadville.

I am coming back for sure.

Hope this review helps your decision making.

Couple getaway

  • 4 of 5

Just returned from 12 nights at Keystone. Condo was spotless upon our arrival. Space is cozy and warm, especially with the gas fired fireplace. Perfect for a couple , crowded for more than two people, but a third person could use the pullout in the den. Kitchen was well equipped but could use a new set of silverware. Location is excellent, short walk to River Run gondola, with pull wagons available outside the entryway for loading your skis and poles, etc. for easy transport to the lift! Hot tubs at the lodge and heated pool were conveniently located and appreciated after a day of skiing. We felt safe and warm in the quiet unit and would definitely stay here again, maybe next year. Only constructive comment is the couches should be replaced because they are uncomfortable, especially the pullout. That being said, we had a wonderful time and Michelle was great to work with, very responsive and accommodating.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your feedback, Michael - I concur that the couches are ready for replacement and is scheduled to be done after this season. Was actually told that the mattresses are comfy (for a pullout) but I’ll be sure that it’s a high grade mattress when the couch gets replaced this year. Also appreciate the feedback on the silverware which I’ll take care of as well. Thank you and would love to have you back next year! Happy skiing!

Great condo close to the lifts.

Nice clean condo in a great location. Short walk to the lifts. Friendly Owner. The mattress in the bedroom is the only drawback, pretty worn out. Would go back next year.

Wonderful Location, Great Property with Convenient Features

  • 5 of 5

This condo was perfect for us. You can walk to main gondola/lift, with the heart of River Run village immediately behind that, in about 2 minutes. The property has an indoor, heated parking garage, a very nice heated ski locker room with a free, large locker individually assigned to each unit, and a heated pool and two hot tubs, complete with pool towels. The unit itself had two TVs with cable and Netflix, a very easy-to-use gas fireplace, a spacious bathroom and plenty of towels, paper towels, toilet paper, etc. It was very quiet at night and easy to sleep. Finally, the host provided clear, detailed instructions for everything you need to know and was very quick to respond to questions.

For the sake of giving a well-rounded review, I would point out that the condo is pretty small. With the bedroom and the pull-out, it definitely COULD sleep 4, but you might feel crowded. One of the two hot tubs was broken during our stay, which resulted in the working hot tub being constantly crowded, and the property ran out of pool towels one of the three days we were there. Also, the property is very secure, which is generally a good thing, but it could get annoying having to swipe your key card multiple times just to take your skis to the locker or go to the hot tub.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your honest feedback and sorry to hear about the tub / pool issues. I agree it's tight for 4 and hope to upgrade to a larger unit sometime soon. It was a pleasure hosting you and hope you come back again! -- Michelle

Perfect location

  • 5 of 5

We were so happy with the location of this condo. It is literally a 2 minute walk to the Gondola. We also enjoyed having a ski locker we could use so that we didn't have to carry the skis into the condo. The pool and hot tubs were also very nice. We spent part of an afternoon soaking in the hot tub while watching people ski down the mountain. The condo itself was nice but, as another reviewer mentioned, did not have much storage. For the two of us for a long weekend it was fine but I think it could get crowded if you wanted to have a 3rd person sleep on the sofa bed. Overall this condo is a great deal and we will definitely be back. One other thing to mention is that Michelle is amazing to work with.
