Why Kurt or Tammy Hubschneider chose Traverse City

This property used to be our personal home. Tons of wonderful memories. We didn't want to part with it. Someday we will pass it down to our 3 boys.

What makes this house unique

7 miles to Traverse City yet you feel like you are out in the country. The property is so peaceful and the all sports lake is beautiful. You feel as if you are in your own little paradise.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Another beautiful fun week at High

Lake Hideaway! Our family had

such a great time. Our oldest

grandsons are so into fishing

this year that they just fished

non-stop in the fishing boat.

Plus, the trampoline was Never

sitting idle-the kids were back

and forth all week. Cool weather?

No one noticed. We really

Enjoy the pontoon, too.

We would like to speak for the same

week next year, too.

Thanks, again for making our week

special.

What a wonderful home and setting. The house is beautiful with everything that we could need! The lake is so beautiful and peaceful. We all were so happy that we stayed here and will be making it our annual vacation spot. All the nice personal touches were greatly appreciated. The homeowner's are wonderful and made every effort possible to accommodate everyone. Thank you so much Kurt & Tammy, we will be back!

Fantastic location and great home owner

  • 5 of 5

This is the second time we have stayed at the property and it didn't disappoint. Really great, large home - very clean with plenty of room for larger groups. The location is excellent, very close to downtown TC (maybe 6 miles) and really close to some great ski locations (especially for families with smaller children). We ate dinner one night at the Jolly Pumpkin - great place if you have time - it's worth the short drive. The owners are great to deal with and for the second year in a row just showed up to make sure we have everything we need and our stay is enjoyable. They do a great job and are always available. Will stay here again.

House was beautiful and clean, will stay again.

  • 5 of 5

On top of the property and house being in great shape, the owner was incredible. We rented as a group of 12 for our annual getaway instead of a hotel this year. All being from different areas of Michigan, owner worked with us while I waited to collect the money. Even met us at the property to show us around and made sure the driveway was plowed and ready. My friends all loved it and all agreed we would stay again. Owners were incredibly nice and easy to work with and house was amazing. Almost everything we needed was at our disposal. Only shame is we rented in the winter because this place would be even more impressive in the summer.

PERFECT FOR FAMILY GET TOGHETHER

  • 5 of 5

House was perfect for extended family get toghether (7 adults & 3 children - 4,3,2 years old). Lots of space and well equipped. Beautiful lot with dock overlooking lake. Close & easy access to Traverse City and plenty to do in the area for everyone. Kurt & Tammy were great to work with - extremely fast responses to any emails I sent. Highly recommend. Only 5 hours from Chicago.

Couples Fall Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We are a group of three couples who were all very pleased with this property. It was a beautiful setting, and a first class, well-equipped, clean home......and large enough for each couple to have our own bathroom. Kurt made us feel welcome and confident that he was nearby if we needed anything. The location was very convenient to downtown, and to all the popular day trips such as Big Bear Dunes, Old Mission Peninsula, and Mackinac Island. The weather was cool, so we had fires in the living room every night. We were impressed by all the outdoor seating available, and the kayaks and boats at our disposal. We would recommend this property to friends and hope to return with family some time in the future.

Great Bachelorette Weekend!

  • 5 of 5

What a super fun weekend for a Bachelorette party! I am the MOH for my cousin, who is getting married in November. This weekend couldn't have been any more perfect for her Last Fling Before the Ring! The house was beautiful, we loved the view and location, it was so close to downtown for dinner and drinks at the bars, and the wine tour was definitely the highlight of our trip! :) I would definitely recommend to anyone who decides to stay in traverse city for a weekend or longer to go through Tammy and Kurt! Their vacation home is perfect for a large group and allowed us to have such a great time!
