Guestbook comments from the owner

Another beautiful fun week at High

Lake Hideaway! Our family had

such a great time. Our oldest

grandsons are so into fishing

this year that they just fished

non-stop in the fishing boat.

Plus, the trampoline was Never

sitting idle-the kids were back

and forth all week. Cool weather?

No one noticed. We really

Enjoy the pontoon, too.

We would like to speak for the same

week next year, too.

Thanks, again for making our week

special.

What a wonderful home and setting. The house is beautiful with everything that we could need! The lake is so beautiful and peaceful. We all were so happy that we stayed here and will be making it our annual vacation spot. All the nice personal touches were greatly appreciated. Perfect lake house!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great family vacation! Plenty of room for the kids and adults. Rooms were beautiful with a great view of the lake. We loved the doc, bon fire pit area, paddle boat and kayahak. Perfect setup on the lake with great views, and plenty to do in the area. If your looking for a house on the lake with lots to do especially for the kids, then this is it! We would love to come back again!

Great place with great owners

  • 4 of 5

Overall we had a great time at The High Lake Hideaway. Our group consists of 5 families (8 adults and 3 kids) and there was plenty of space for all of us. The fire pit was great for evening fires and the water trampoline was a blast. The weather was nice everyday so we were able to eat meals on the large deck and enjoy the view. It's a very quite lake, but large enough for a speed boat. We rented their 17' boat for the week and had no trouble using it everyday. Aside from the occasional pontoon boat, fishing boat or kayak we were the only one's on the lake.

The only two drawbacks for the house were the bedroom set-up and the sloped front yard. Even though there are five bedrooms, two of them have bunk beds. It would have been better for us to only have one room with bunk beds. The sloped front yard made it very difficult to play yard games.

The house is tucked away for privacy when you are there, but the grocery store and gas station are just a few miles away and TC is only a 15-20 minute drive.

The owner's were great. They delivered the boat, kayaks and SUP to us the day we arrived. Kurt was also available by phone if we ever had any needs and quickly addressed any issues.

Peegeo's is right down the road from the house. They have great wings and Sicilian pizza. If you have the chance you should try it while you are there.

Wonderful!!!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at the High Lake Hideaway celebrating my mom's 70th birthday. The house was clean when we arrived and any small issue we had, the owners were very responsive and took care of right away. We would definitely love to visit this house and lake again. The lake was quiet which was exactly what we wanted.

Wonderful stay, everything was well-maintained and the lake was beautiful. Proximity to Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes, and Mackinaw made this home perfect for our three families. We will be back!
