What an amazing place! Marie was fantastic with communication, the house was beautiful, and it was in a great location. The kids loved the arcade, foosball table, and swimming off the dock. We had a great weekend at the lake.

Lake get away

Very clean, very well stocked - plenty of toilet paper, paper towels and garbage bags for 12 people! Kids loved the board games, arcade game and foosball. It was great having paddle boards and kayaks provided. Good workout walking down the hill to the lake and back up to the house! Convenient to the marina - we rented a pontoon boat.

Everything you need is there. The covered dock is wonderful along with the paddle boards and kayaks. Check in was easy. Owner very responsive. Loved our stay!!

Great Stay-Great Host

The house was clean and kitchen well stocked. We cooked 4 out of the 5 nights we were there, including large breakfasts, and we had everything we needed--nothing amiss. Outdoor dining space was lovely--with seating for at least 16. The dock was one of the best we have used during our summer trips. It was secluded with a great view, kayaks and paddle boards for the kids, great swimming, and even small fish our grandson loved trying to catch with a net. Marie was very responsive with any questions, and made great suggestions for things in town. Could not have asked for a better stay! Thank you.

Slice of heaven

We had the best time! The accommodations were wonderful. The location of the house was amazing, tucked in a cove so the kids can safely swim, kayak, paddle board etc. Marie had everything we needed to enjoy a fire and love that she supplied extra paper towel and toilet paper etc. The set up of the house was awesome for 7 kids and 4 adults in our group. Mountain Lake Marina is right around the corner. We put our wakeboard boat in at a public boat ramp just a few miles down from the house so that was really convenient. Would definitely stay here again!

Family Week

Hiwassee Haven is a quiet, beautiful cove! The house had everything we needed. With Mountain Lake Marina so close by we were able to rent a pontoon and have them deliver it (the nicest crew and great food)!! My daughter needed to work during the week and had no problems with Wi-Fi. We appreciated the cleanliness of the home and the cozy atmosphere. With the various levels we were able to accommodate our family so nicely. Perfect week! Thank you Marie!

Best Family Get Away

I can’t be happier with the stay here. From the very beginning of the booking process, the owner was clear and communicative. She went out of her way to answer questions and even ask her daughter for more advice. We loved the house, had space for all the members of our family. When my me, my husband and kids wanted a break from our in laws, we found retrieve outside or on the dock. The property is beautiful, and so well maintained. Everything you need was available, from dishes for more than 10, to entertainment such as kayaks and paddle boards. Even enough trash bags!!! (Sometimes at VRBOs, we run out!) Everything was clean and well taken care of! We had a picturesque family vacation mostly due to this amazing home! I couldn’t recommend it more.

The property was fabulous….clean, accessible, had all the amenities you would need. The host was easy to get a hold of. Would definitely recommend this property! It’s perfectly located in a nice, quiet cove. Our family of 10 enjoyed all it had to offer. We will definitely go back.

What a great place for a family getaway

Amazing location, quite and tucked away from the boat traffic but close to some great activities. The water at norris lake is unbelievable clean and turquoise. The owner was always in communication and very helpful. Would definently stay here again.

Fantastic!

We absolutely loved our stay at Hiwassee Haven! Marie was amazing to communicate with and was extremely responsive. The location is perfect! Back in a cove with little to no traffic. We loved paddling around on all the toys that were included! Our daughter and her friends paddled out to jumping rock and played on that for a while. The house was PERFECT! So clean, everything included and the perfect layout for two adults and three teen girls. We could have easily had more guests! Overall a wonderful trip!!

Great cabin for kids

We had two families staying at this cabin with a total of 10 people, including 7 kids (ages 7 through 17). The cabin was perfect for us! The layout was great and with multiple beds in most of the rooms we had plenty of room for everyone. The game room in the basement was great for the kids. The internet was very fast with no issues. The cabin was extremely well-stocked and very clean. The host was very friendly and had great communications. The cabin is in a beautiful location and since it was the off season it was nice and quiet. The hot tub and fire pit were great amenities and even in December the weather was nice enough to allow us to do some fishing and paddle boating. We would love to come back in the summer so we can enjoy the lake more.

Wonderful Stay and Highly Recommend this Beautiful Home!

My family and friends have traveled to Norris Lake every year for the last 15 years. Hiwassee Haven was by far the best house we have rented and the first one we will definitely rent again. Marie was a wonderful host with excellent communication and made the check-in process easy. The house was exactly as described and EXTREMELY clean, even where not expected as in the oven, under the beds and outside areas such as the grill, patio furniture, hot tub and dock. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and more. The bedrooms were spacious with nice furniture and TVs in every room. The beds were comfortable and the showers were great. Unfortunately we had rainy weather which prevented boating most of the weekend but the house had many options such as kayaks, games, hot tub, foosball, air hockey, and 2 large family rooms to entertain us. I will certainly seek out Marie Ayers as the host of any future rentals as everything was perfect!

Norris Family Vacation

My family and I enjoyed a weeklong vacation on beautiful Norris Lake during the first week of July. Marie was great to work with and quick to answer any questions or concerns that we had. The home was clean and met our expectations for a great week on the lake. We loved having the paddleboard’s, kayaks and floating toys. I would definitely recommend this vacation home.

Wonderful Stay

Property was very clean and had lots of extra touches. Very good communication with property owner. We enjoyed sitting on the porch looking at the lake. It was so nice to have the dock for our boat! Not to mention all the fun extras, paddle boards, kayaks, etc. Highly recommend Hiwassee Haven and would definitely stay again!

This property offers everything you could ask for.......deep year around water, nice concrete covered 1 slip dock, firepit, hot tub, 2 game tables, corn hole, 2 kayaks, 2 paddle boards, 1 paddle boat (until it breaks), sleeps 12 in beds (no futons or pullouts), fully equipped kitchen, only 10 minutes from town, and located in a quiet cove just up from the Jumping Rock and Mountain Lake Marina........it's all here. Just bring your family......

As Norris Lake has become very popular so has the boat traffic in mid summer. This home is near the end of a quite cove yet we have deep year around water. The distance to town is better than most other areas as well as its just minutes to several popular marinas. Its a great cabin feel home in the heart of Norris Lake.
