Plantation WEST Bldg. - Unit #1150 faces the beach in a lush tropical setting
NO elevators, NO driving to the beach....a pool to your right, a pool to your left and a hot tub right smack in the middle just steps from your ground floor condo! Southern Comfort Y'all! This one of a kind "Plantation Resort" boasts 40 ACRES of spaciousness directly on the Gulf of Mexico. It includes the championship golf course "KIVA Dunes". Just across the road is beautiful Mobile Bay with a public boat launch. An absolute fisherman's paradise. We are able to share our resort membership privileges with our guests so they can enjoy all the amenities at The Plantation. There are 8 pools which includes 2 indoor pools and several hot tubs. Enjoy the West Building's new indoor pool. It has a main pool & a smaller children's pool. It is always the perfect temperature and is treated with salt water not chlorine. Wonderful for days when you need a break from the sun or the weather isn't picture perfect. The amenities don't stop there. We have indoor saunas, indoor hot tubs, exercise facilities and several outdoor tennis courts, basketball courts, volley ball, shuffle board, horseshoes, a putting green & an excellent bar/grill right on our beach! The property also hosts outdoor charcoal grills & picnic tables. Park your car & never leave OR take a short drive to several close casual restaurants, historic Ft. Morgan, or take the ferry to Dauphin Island. Additionally, get "gussied up" and take Ft. Morgan Road 12 miles into the heart of Gulf Shores where all the action is. You can bring bikes or rent them for adventure on the many trails in this area where you can see untouched, uninterrupted wildlife. The beautiful Ft. Morgan peninsula also has tours through the 7,000 acres of the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge. Go online & check out the special festivals, events, & concerts. The things to do here are endless. As of 6/2017, we are the proud new owners. Our condo is in the West Building Complex, Phase III, which was the final addition to The Plantation. It is on the ground floor and has been updated with all new appliances, granite counter tops, new cupboards, ceramic tile thru-out, new windows, new mattresses and new furniture. We have recently completed renovating and redecorating the entire condo. The dehumidifier in the unit adds extra comfort and of course we have free WIFI. The hallways to the units are air conditioned which provides relief from unpacking in the hot outdoors. Save yourself the disappointment of booking elsewhere. The owner, Marlene, will be available to speak with you personally and will be in contact via her personal email to answer any questions and to assure your stay is a pleasant one. We have met so many wonderful folks through renting/sharing our condo. Many people have been vacationing at The Plantation for years and just keep coming back. We were so excited to host a beautiful bride last summer that was married on our beach. She had dreamed of this day since she was a little girl. Her family has vacationed here for years. About Dan & Marlene Waskiewicz
Dan & I have been married for 35 years and are blessed with two daughters. We are the proud new owners of Unit #1150. We have been vacationing in Florida for over 35 years. This year we decided to see what family & friends have been telling us about "Gulf Shores". At the last minute I tried to book a rental and found one at The Plantation. We simply and completely fell in love with this resort. Before we left, we put an offer to purchase Unit #1150 and the rest is history! We love the tranquility here. You cannot find that feeling in many places. We also like the fact that you are able to stay at the resort and lounge all day due to all the amenities here or in minutes be in the hustle & bustle. As experienced renters, we know how to treat our guests, exactly the way we would like to be treated. We pride ourselves on keeping our unit immaculate, updated and comfortable. We appreciate The Plantation's security measures and the maintenance is top notch. We hope you will enjoy our condo as much as we do!

Why Dan & Marlene Waskiewicz chose Fort Morgan
After renting and looking for the perfect property for many years, it took us only one day to determine this property was the one. When you arrive on vacation, that's exactly what you want to do "VACATION". There were so many times when we would arrive at a rental and it certainly was NOT what was indicated in the pictures! My family would be so upset with me because there were a few of them I adamantly refused to stay in. Believe me when I say that won't happen if you choose to stay in our unit. What you see IS what you get. Before you leave, you will be planning to come back! Furthermore, at The Plantation the buildings were developed in phases. Unit #1150 is located in the West Buildings. In 2015 the West Buildings were completely stripped and renovated. New siding, new roofs, new patios and most owners replaced the old windows. Ours are brand new. We also installed the largest door wall in the complex so the view is breath taking. There are three sets of buildings in the West section. The ones in the back are cute 1 bedroom units, some have lofts. The ones to the side (where we are)are all angled so you can see it all. Our patio is on ground level and a majority of what you are viewing is the beautiful landscape and the pools. There are glimpses of the ocean too. Our patio is nicely secluded because the sidewalk swings out around the volley ball court . This definitely is a "plus". You do not have other guests walking directly in front of your patio door wall and you certainly can enjoy sitting out in your pjs in the morning with your coffee.
What makes this Condo unique
Families love it here because there are so many things to do on the property "together". We see couples enjoying all the amenities as well. The resort is large enough for all to enjoy and you will never feel cramped or crowded on the beach or at any of the pools. The great thing is that you don't ever have to venture out if you don't want to. You can stay in your bathing suit all day long and grill right outside your unit on one of the many grills & eat at the picnic tables. There are also restaurants on the resort property. Sassy Bass Amazin' Grill is one of our favorites. You can take frozen drinks out to the beach or have breakfast, lunch or dinner there. Or you can throw on a T-shirt & turn left out of the resort & head down to Tacky Jack's right on Ft. Morgan Road. There are also many more options right on Ft. Morgan Road such as small grocery stores & pizza delivery. OR drive 15 minutes into the heart of Gulf Shores, do some souvenir shopping & try out one of the many fantastic restaurants with the fresh catch of the day or a bit of southern cuisine and of course a "Bushwacker". There is definitely something for everyone here. Y'all have to come down and see for yourselves!

Our family truly enjoyed our stay. The view was absolutely beautiful! Everything was clean and very lovely. We loved how we could walk to the ocean, hot tubs and pool. We will definitely be staying again!!
Great Condo and Great Location
Owners are great hosts. Their condo was spotless and very comfortable. All the appliances were new and there was adequate utensils for cooking. Beautiful view from condo porch over looking well maintained grounds, pools and hot tub. Short walk to the beach. My adult kids and great children had a wonderful time and were very comfortable with 2nd bedroom. I want to thank owners Marlene Waskiewicz and her husband for making our stay a great experience. Clean, neat, comfortable and fully satisfied.
No creepy feelings like sometimes when you walk into a condo you just rented. It was nicely decorated but not too much. It was clean. Comfortable beds. Sheets, pillows and blankets appeared to be new. The week in November was sunny and in the 60s each day. Sat on the patio A LOT! Watched the Blue Angels practice twice. Neat on-the-water restaurants nearby. I wished it had one of those simple vacuums with the long handle so that the floor could be cleaned after your husband walks on the beach and then enters the condo w/o taking his shoes off at the door! Had no problems and will definitely rent again.
We are privileged to watch the Blue Angels fly by on the beach from March thru November a couple days a week when they practice. Their home is in Pensacola & it is a short drive if you want to see their spectacular air shows. There is a vacuum in the closet Nancy. Feel free to use it whenever the need arises. I like the carpeting down the hallway before you enter the condo. I think it definitely helps with the outdoor elements!:) Glad you enjoyed your visit.
Great place for a family vacation
This is a great place to stay with your family. There was plenty of room for the 5 of us, and we loved having 3 pools nearby (including an indoor pool), and the 5-minute walk to the beach.
There are also some hiking trails a short drive away, and it's only a 15-20 minute drive to Gulf Shores.
It was our pleasure having you as our guests! Glad to hear you had such a nice time.
We have stayed in this unit several times. Current owner has made some nice changes in unit and is great to work with. Looking forward to next year.

Really enjoyed our stay
We had a GREAT time on our vacation. This was the first time we stayed in this unit and enjoyed our time there. Would recommend this unit to everyone.
Relax in the tranquility at The Plantation or venture out just 12 miles down Ft. Morgan Road to the complete opposite. So much to see and do. Go online to Special Events in Gulf Shores & BeachGuide.com will pop up giving you info on all the events & concerts. The mulletwrapper.com is a local event paper also. Pick up coupon books outside local shops. There is an excellent grill/bar right on our beach and you can also dine at the Kiva Dunes restaurant which is the golf club on the property. There are several casual restaurants and stores up & down Ft. Morgan Road. Ft. Morgan is a peninsula. There are numerous walking & biking you where you can intermingle with wildlife. You have water on both sides. Mobile Bay on one side and the Gulf of Mexico on the other. It is like being on an island! It is quite unique here!

*A lease agreement provided by the owner must be signed & returned along with a copy of the primary renter's driver license within SEVEN days after booking your reservation or your reservation will be subject to cancellation. *The primary occupant must be at least 25 years of age and must physically occupy the unit the entire length of the reservation. *The Plantation Resort charges a one-time fee of $20.00 per vehicle for Vehicle Registration. I will provide you with the necessary information to obtain your Registration Ticket online. This is a nonrefundable fee. *Our condo comfortably accommodates 6 guests in beds. We do have a queen size sofa bed for visitors or extra guests. Upon the owner's approval of additional guests in abundance of six, there will be an extra cleaning fee of $50 per stay.
