We had an incredible stay!! The cabin is immaculate and its location is amazing! Easy walk down to the river and beautiful views from the porch. Will definitely book again!
This is the third year I've stayed here, and in coming to Montana for 50 years, and more recently, over the last 30 consecutive years, this place is at the top of list. The views are incredible: 4-mountain ranges, some close, others far away and up the valley, but all impressive. The wildlife is spectacular with an occasional Mountain Goat sighting upon the mountain directly across from the house, or an antelope in the meadow along with lots of birds: bluebirds, bald eagles, Clark's Nut Crackers, jays, crows, ravens, and magpies. The fishing is...well....I'd rather not say, for good fishing is often a secret. Perhaps the best attributes are open windows at night, cool breezes sifting through them void of light pollution and the sound of the river rushing through the canyon. The hosts are wonderful folks who've gone out of their ways for litle favors...thank you Pam and Jeff. Tim C Central Ohio
Fantastic cabin. Beautiful location with fabulous fishing and star gazing!!Check in and out was super easy. Cabin was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Highly recommend. Hope to stay there again soon.
This was a wonderful stay! The owners were quickly responsive with the questions we had, leading up to this special trip.if you go to Yellowstone I highly recommend staying here! The hosts were wonderful!
We loved our stay! Great family vacation to Yellowstone and the Tetons. We enjoyed the cabin and fishing the Madison River. Would definitely stay here again.
This house is perfect for relaxing after long days in Yellowstone. The front porch had beautiful views. The house was set up nicely for families traveling in together and the ride into Yellowstone was easy!
This is a terrific cabin in a fabulous location. The house had everything we needed for a very comfortable week-long stay, and served as a great base of operation for visiting Yellowstone. In addition to the beautiful surroundings, the location is remote enough to offer peace and solitude, while being a short and picturesque drive from West Yellowstone and the entrance to the national park.
I highly recommend this cabin and we plan to return!
The property was perfect for us. We were all very comfortable and loved the location - other than the lane which was not well maintained. I was also disappointed that the grass was not mowed around the cabin. I would stay there again!!!
Cute little cabin set up for the perfect fishing trip.
It’s a fun walk down to the water. In a central location with easy access to West Yellowstone, Ennis, and Virginia City.
The hosts were very responsive and kind.
This was the perfect house for our stay when visiting our son who works at Galloup’s Slide Inn. Super close to the shop and a short walk to fish in the Madison. Sitting on the patio with our coffee looking at the mountains in the sunshine was heaven. Easy drive to Yellowstone to spend a day too! The house had everything we needed, plenty of space and was very clean. We will be back!
Beautiful views in every direction from this quaint, if smallish cabin. Very well equipped kitchen with all required amenities. Excellent WiFi Internet makes up for nearly non-existent Verizon cell service. Short, strenuous walk to the slide section of the Madison River…plus easy drives to West Yellowstone, Yellowstone Park, Island Park and many areas of interest. Overall very pleasant stay.
Pretty far from river.....different than advertised but beautiful home, beautiful setting great stay

Glad you enjoyed your stay. We updated our description from "short walk" to "short hike (about 100 yards)" to the river to be clearer on the distance which enables a beautiful wilderness experience.
Such an amazing place! We were surprised at how nice and well stocked this cabin was. The surrounding beauty of the cabin is unreal, like something from a magazine! Our teenage sons loved the little apartment upstairs and the two bedrooms in the main cabin were perfect for the rest of us. The beds were all comfortable, and everything was so clean! We hope to be back one day! Pam was so easy to work with and quick to respond to any questions we had.
This cabin and location was beautiful! Clean everything we needed! Minutes from Yellowstone. We rented ATVs in town and rode the trails to more breathtaking views! Went hiking close to cabin. Went white water rafting in Gillatan! The more you hike in Yellowstone the scenery is even more beautiful! Plenty of waterfalls! Definitely will be back!

About the host

We live in Tucson, Arizona. Our family has been fishing in the Yellowstone area since the 1960s. Since the 1970s, we've been vacationing every summer in the area. We bought the 20 acre property in 1983. For years we camped on it. In the recent years we built two houses, one for us to live in during the summer and a second for others to enjoy!
Why they chose this property
This property is next to the infamous "slide mountain". It has unique access to Madison River where there is great fishing and hiking. The property has a really great location. It's near a number of picturesque hiking trails, lakes for fishing and boating and of course, it's close to the entrance of Yellowstone Park.
