Fly Fishing Mecca!
This is an amazing location to stay, with the Madison River just a short walk away and convenient drives to West Yellowstone and Henry's Fork. The owner is extremely helpful, providing ample information about the house and its surroundings before your arrival. The property is equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable and enjoyable stay!

A true "Montana" experience
This cabin was a great place to experience the old school essence of Montana. Having been born in the state and having grown up through high school years many decades ago but not back since, it reminded me of my uncles den, a true cowboy if there ever was one. The cabin had every modern convenience you need while still leaving a feeling of roughing it without really doing so. The coffee maker without the K-cups so to speak. We visited, played cards, and for the most of us spent little time in front of the TV although it was there with plenty to watch if we'd wanted to. The ability to walk a few hundred yards and be fishing the great Madison for trout was a huge plus and we spent a lot of time doing just that. Even though it happened to rain most of the days we were there, no one cared. If you are an angler, you are only 5 miles down the road from Galloup's Slide Inn, one of the great fly shops and fishing guide outfits in the region (go ahead, type that name into the search bar in YouTube). Get out with one of their guides then walk out front and fish on your own! Mark, the owner, is a great guy. I probably talked to him on the phone 4 or 5 times. If you're a good person, he's a great person. If you're not, well, I wouldn't... If you really want to get away from your everyday life and decompress, you can not beat a vacation here! Enjoy!

Very interesting place!
If you like game on the walls...this is your place. The upstairs has 2 bedrooms and a nice, large, open air, high ceiling, living room and kitchen area. There is one nice bathroom upstairs. It is obvious that the owner (Mark) lives here at times as there are clothes and dry good foods in the closets. The downstairs/ basement bedrooms are finished, but much of the basement is not. The downstairs bath is part of the laundry area. As a place to crash after a long day of fishing...this is a cool spot. The place is clean. We would stay here again.

The upstairs is great. The creek running through the property is nice and the river as pictured is right across the street. It location is quiet beautiful.

Owner rude and threatening.
After staying the first night I woke up to a bad odor in the basement bedroom. My Niece and Nephew had not yet arrived and the only other room left was in the basement. I did not want them to suffer as I did. Asked the owner if they could bring a trailer. He blew a fuse accusing me of trying to pull a scam. That day we went to Yellowstone Park. While we were gone he sent the Care Taker to the Cabin. She went in without our knowledge or permission. She reported she did not smell anything. I met her and she is a very nice lady and probably didn't smell anything because we had all the widows open and fans running. When talking to the owner he again said there is no smell in the cabin and if I have a problem with that I should go meet the Care Takers husbands he said " You cant miss him he is 6' 10". After that comment my daughter was terrified the rest the night that some large man was going to harm us. When we returned we found a dead mouse at the bottom of stairs. Then inspected the basement rooms a little closer. There is rat poison in every corner and window, my room had rat poison under the bed along with a large amount of rat feces. My Nephew and I could not get the smell out and determined there must dead decaying mice in the closet between the two bedrooms. This room was locked and I was not going to call the owner again. The sliding glass door to patio is covered with plastic and full of flies. We had to pull weeds around the fire pit to use it.
