The Real Deal
We just completed a wonderful week's stay at the Elk Crossing house, and can't wait to go back. The house and furnishings were just as promised with plenty of room. We chose the house for our first visit to Big Sky for a family vacation - my wife and me, two sons and daughters-in-law, and five grandchildren 7 and younger. The kids enjoyed the bunk room, play room, popcorn machine, hot tub, river, and stuffed animals. The location is great - a couple of minutes to the Town Center and 15 minutes up to the Mountain Village, and five minutes to great fishing on the Gallatin River. We were able to watch the Big Sky 4th of July fireworks display from the front yard, and enjoyed several meals at the large table on the deck with a gorgeous view of the mountains. The South Fork of the West Fork of the Gallatin River running right behind the house gave us hours of fun and fishing, with a dozen trout caught at the house. The owner, Amy, is friendly, accommodating, and responsive; she volunteered to purchase a new high-chair and pack'n play for our stay. We can't say enough good things about the house; our 5-year old grandson said he wants to live there! We'll definitely be back.
I traveled to this amazing piece of property as a Bozeman native with 9 guys for a weekend of fishing, hiking, adventure activities and general R&R. The pictures don't do it enough justice. The house is beyond comfortable with a fantastic game room away from the bedrooms. There is an upstairs wraparound deck with a postcard view of Lone Mountain in the near distance. Go down the deck stairs and walk down to the creek where rocker benches, a picnic table and fire pit are begging for beers or smores. The grocery store is just up the street if you forget them. The house has everything you could need. There were paper towels, dishwashing liquid, laundry detergent, even a complimentary bottle of red wine. It was epic. Lastly, the owners of the property are unlike anything you are used to. In short, they are amazing. We had a hot tub issue (a simple settings problem we messed up) and it was taken care of by a specialist in less than 30 minutes and well after 6PM. Needless to say, we felt at home and none in our party wanted to leave. I will definitely be back if I can help it.
I came to Elk Crossing for a week of skiing with a group of 12. The house had ample space, great amenities (hot tub, popcorn maker, pool table, etc...), and plenty of dishes to cook for a large group. The owners were very responsive and helpful whenever we needed to get in touch. If and when I return to Big Sky, I will definitely stay at Elk Crossing.
We had a group of nine guys in the home for three days for a fly fishing trip. The home was great, and well laid out for a group of this size. The house sleeps 12, however if everyone wants a separate bed, 8 is a better number. Great location with a lot of privacy. A few stores for last minute necessities are located within a mile of the home.
This house is absolutely amazing. The upstairs Master Suite is fit for a King. The House has every amenity imaginable including: hot tub, multiple plasma screens, pop corn maker, pool table, pinball machine and more. Everything in the house is maintained in brand new condition, this is not your typical rental. We will definitely be back.
Awesome Home in Big Sky
This luxury home is a steal! I have rented homes through VRBO for many years and have never stayed in a home where so much attention is paid to every little detail. The home is furnished in top of the line custom made furniture and decorated with original Montana art works. The beds are wonderful, the linens are fabulous. The kitchen is very well equipped and the view of Lone Peak from the living room is awesome. It's an awesome home for two families or families with older children as everyone can find a private spot to chill. We even had our own resident moose visit us. I would highly recommend renting this home from the very accommodating owners.
LOCATED ON THE SOUTH FORK OF THE GALLATIN RIVER....River front home.
