Great quality at a great price.

This was a great condo for our purposes. It comfortably sleeps six. The decor has obviously been updated fairly recently. The kitchen is small but well stocked and easy to use. The view is amazing. It is near the top of the mountain, so be prepared for the driving. It takes 12-15 minutes to safely reach downtown Gatlinburg. It's close to Ober Gatlinburg. There is a grocery and pizza delivery near by if that interests you.

Great Property!

  • 5 of 5

Layout and sleeping arrangements are exactly as described. View off the back porch is great.

The building appears to have WiFi, but was so slow most of the time it all but didn't work. (Since its the building WiFi, probably not the owner's fault.) Cell service on Verizon for us also was on and off - its at the very edge of the range. So you should plan on printing out whatever you need for directions, phone numbers/addresses of attractions, etc. before you arrive. Once you get going on the roads back down, coverage will pick up again. We loved forced family communication and game playing instead of screen time! :)

Location is about 8-10 minutes from Gatlinburg, and about 25 minutes from Pigeon Forge. Very convenient to everything. Would highly recommend this property. The last 2 miles of roads are steep, so if you aren't a confident driver on curvy mountain roads, you will want to avoid the night or inclement weather. But they are very well paved roads in good condition.

Unbelievable view!!!

  • 4 of 5

This is a terrific value for the price we paid! The best thing about this condo is hands down, the view from the balcony which is spectacular. The condo was clean and had plenty of towels and a bar of soap in each bathroom. In the future, I would suggest having a couple more rolls of toilet paper available to guests. The kitchen is tiny but efficient. There are enough cooking utensils to do simple cooking, though there is nothing in the cupboard except salt and pepper; so plan accordingly. There was dish washing liquid. The drive up the mountain for the first time is quite harrowing; so I highly recommend arriving before nightfall! The indoor pool was very close by and my kids (11, 9, and 6) were thrilled to be able to swim. It's plenty warm inside the pool house, but the chlorine was pretty strong in the air the first day we were there. The clothes dryer is old school and previous guests were not aware that the lint must be cleaned from the round disk located in the door. Make sure to check that when doing laundry. I would return to this property again.

Beautiful views! Clean space. Just what we needed.

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at The Summit. It was pretty, clean, and gave us a place to hang out between adventures.

There were 2 small problems, however. We had 3 adults and 2 children and there wasn’t a blanket for the roll-out bed. Fortunately, we had a very warm sleeping bag with us. If we hadn’t, it would have been an uncomfortable 2 nights for at least one of us.

The second problem occurred when we went to wash our dishes. The unit has a policy that you wash your own dishes or be charged an extra $25. That was not a problem at all, except no dish washing liquid was provided. We did cook extensively, and so needed to be able to wash up in the sink, as well as use the dishwasher. We were able to borrow some dish washing liquid, but it was inconvenient.

We love this area! The drive up to the Summit could be challenging if you’re not used to mountain roads, however it snowed and the roads were kept clear the whole time we were there. I think the drive up is more than worth it, for the fabulous view you get from the deck and from every window!

All in all, had a good time and the condo was a very comfortable place for our little reunion!

Great Value!

This place is clean and well appointed. There is everything you would need to stay comfortably. The pool area is nice as well as the view from your balcony. You are very close to town however it takes you 20-30 minutes to get there because the roads are so curvy that you have to drive slow. Happy I brought my 4 x 4.

Highly Recommend this owner. Thank you for beautiful stay.

Thank you for a beautiful stay.

The owner was very responsive, helpful and even made good on a very small hiccup in reservations. Which I was not his fault. I asked for an earlier checkin time and he had someone else book the day before so he offered to extend my stay by a day and also texted me before normal checkin time to tell me the condo was ready. He went way above and beyond. Would definitely recommend renting from this owner.

I did inform him the in-condo dryer did not dry clothes, the door to the pourch did not lock, and the kitchen faucet dripped a bit. Oh and I believe the previous guest spilled something (alot of something) on the carpet under the kitchen table because the carpet was all wet and was still wet upon our departure. The owner did quickly respond saying he would get maintenance man to address right away.

The condo was clean and met our needs. We had 3 adults and 2 small children. Let me tell you what exactly to expect...

The main bedroom fits the furniture and queen bed perfectly with little room to spare. The second bedroom is also a tight squeeze so the roll away bed has to be set up in the living room. We ended up not using it and just used the couch.

The kitchen is a tight squeeze also. Only room really for 1 person in the kitchen with not alot of counter space. The kitchen was stocked with all the needed utensils and kitchenware needed. The frig was clean.

The bathrooms were very clean and stocked with plenty of toilet paper and soap.

The kitchen table has 4 chairs. The couch sits 3 and there is another lounge chair that fits 1.

With all that being said it is perfectly fine for a family of 2/3 adults and 2/3 kids, but any more then that it would really be a tight space for say 6 adults.

We did not end up swimming in the indoor pool mainly because of time, but I did walk over and look at it. The indoor pool was very small. The outdoor pool looked much bigger, but given the fact we went in November it was obviously closed.

They do have pay washer and dryers in the main building (where the pool is), but make sure you bring quarters.

Now I am from IL. I have never been in the mountains before at all so the trip up and down the mountains to the condo scared the crap out of me. If you are not used to driving in the mountains my recommendation is definitely travel the trip in the daytime the first trip up. The drop offs were insane (to me at least).

Again, would highly recommend.
