Mezzaluna - Cottage by the Sea

Come and enjoy our beautiful, fully self-contained cottage, located between Sargeant and Halfmoon Bay. Private, unobstructed ocean view deck, facing Vancouver Island and the Strait of Georgia. Watch the eagles soar, whales breaching, or follow the cruise ships passing by on their way to Alaska while sipping your favourite drink. The scenery is constantly changing with varied marine traffic and visiting wildlife in the back yard. Nothing to do but sit back and relax and forget about time and place, or stroll down to the local beach for a little marine exploration. And check out the many sights and activities the area has to offer.
Life tends to slow down on the Sunshine Coast and whether you come for two days or two weeks, you will feel renewed and are sure to return.

The cottage, lovingly decorated with a mexican flair, offers one bedroom, with a queen and a single bed, as well as a single sofa bed in the living area. Bath with shower. Fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer and a cozy wood stove to enjoy during those cooler winter nights. Perfect for couples or a small family.
Large lawn area for playing games, or throwing a ball
Beach access and kayak rentals nearby.

We enjoyed a fun-filled and relaxing holiday at Mezza Luna. The cottage was clean and well equipped providing an excellent base for exploring the Sunshine Coast. The view from the deck was wonderful.

This is a wonderful find on the sunshine coast. Exceptionally beautiful views of the ocean and located in peaceful and quiet neighbourhood away from the highway, but with quick access to amenities. The owner has created a peaceful ambience perfect for relaxing . Nicely decorated, very clean and the host was very welcoming and hospitable. Loved that my pooch was very welcome too !

Cozy cottage with stunning view!

I stayed here for a girls’ Family Day long weekend with my young adult daughters. This was my second stay at this place, and I’m sure it won’t be my last! The cottage is cozy, well equipped, and feels quite spacious. We love the decor, the stunning view, and enjoyed watching deer feeding on the lawn. It was also very nice and quiet. Love it!

Great stay

Everything I’d ever need, great kitchen, linens, but the real thrill was the deck and its view. Whales for hours. The living room was comfy for me but the 3-seat sofa shown in pictures isn’t there anymore so two people would end up using the love seat. The squirrels kept my dog entertained.

Perfect getaway

Delightful and thoughtfully created cottage. This is the perfect place to go when you need to get away from the city. It’s pleasantly decorated and well outfitted, very quiet, has amazing vistas. There are the most wonderful hikes/ walks to take nearby. The only thing I would suggest that could be improved is the main bed. Aside from that, I would highly recommend this lovely place and I’d return in a heartbeat.

This rental was all that it was written up to be. No surprises. Great host, and the cottage has all the things you need for a comfortable stay. Awesome view from the deck, whales every day. Very quiet- didn't really want to go anywhere though we did, since there are many things to do in the area.

Highly recommended stay

We have really enjoyed our 3-day stay here: perfect tranquility. The cottage is spacious, solid, well-appointed, and pristine. From its lovely southwest facing deck high above the ocean we enjoyed spotting various boats and ocean wildlife, including orcas, well as watching and listening to many kinds of birds. Bring your binoculars and long lenses. The property has no buildings between you and the sea, just a steep forested slope down to the rocky beach. Beate is a perfect host, friendly and available but completely unobtrusive. A good central location from which to explore the southern Sunshine Coast. We hope to return before long!

Stunning view!

Beatte was there to greet us and the cottage had everything we needed to cook and enjoy the coast experience. The views are even closer than they look in the photos, and the cottage is larger. We had visits from deer, an owl, many many birds, and a black bear who liked to snack on the neighbours apple trees. The location down a quiet road away from the highway was perfect, and we could easily drive either north or south for loads of activities. The only con was uncomfortable furniture. We would definitely stay again!

Relax and recharge

There is nothing as good as sitting on a deck where you can watch a pod of orcas go by and have deer wandering through your yard! Great location to use as a base to visit the Sunshine Coast.
