Clean, comfortable, quality rental.
Of all the places I searched in the area this
looked like the best. It turned out to be exactly as advertised: a beautiful place tucked away in a nice neighborhood. Enjoyed walking around and taking short drives to some of the local restaurants. Owners quick to respond to questions.
All in all a very good experience!
Great Stay in Montford
We have just enjoyed six wonderful weeks at the Montford Tree House. We have now spent seven summers in Asheville and this was our favorite place! The home was sparkling clean and Danya made sure we had every item one would want for comfortable living—cooking utensils, china, flatware, bathroom supplies, linens etc. The kitchen has a gorgeous wooden bar where you can eat but we loved having our dinners on the shaded porch in the evenings and reading the Citizen’s Times outside in the mornings. The bed was very comfy and the living room furniture allowed us to relax contentedly as we watched TV (they have Netflix, no less). It is an ideal place to take interesting walks along many different routes and within walking distance to at least three restaurants, two of which we enjoyed.
This is a great place to stay to fell like you are part of the community.
The house has all the comforts of home. It’s spacious and full of light. I spent 3 months here deciding if I want to move down from NY. The answer is yes.
Lynn and Steve were great hosts.
Amazing Asheville Hideaway
We loved this place! It was conveniently located and easy to find, with only a 20 minute walk to downtown, which was such a nice way to see the Historic Montford neighborhood. It was spacious, with a nice sized living room and huge kitchen(which we didn't use too much, but next time!). The bed was very comfortable and had plenty of storage for clothing and luggage. I can't wait for another trip to Asheville and totally plan to stay here again!
Wonderful Place to Stay
We loved the Urban Treehouse! It was spacious, clean, and beautiful. It is close to downtown Asheville, easily accessible from the highway, and the perfect place for my friends and me. Lynn was a great host!
Everything I Needed
I stayed at the Treehouse for a sabbatical of sorts after leaving a strenuous job.
The airy feel and ultra-clean apartment were just what I needed. I'm a bit OCD. Everything was just where it needed to be and while all my needs were met, there was no clutter -- no extraneous stuff around.
I believe I was their first snowed-in guest! While I was there, Asheville received a reported 11" of snow. I made a quick trip to Whole Foods, only 5 minutes by car, and got provisions. I hadn't planned to cook while I was there, but luckily everything I needed was at hand. Pots & pans, dishes, silverware, basic seasonings, even tea bags were stocked in the kitchen.
Both garbage and recycling receptacles are provided. I was able to keep everything just as I would want it.
The bedroom is simple and lovely. Mattress good. Extra pillows and quilt in closet.
I like to tidy up as I go and organic cleaning products were tucked away in both the kitchen and bath.
The bathroom has a baseboard heater just under the towel rack so I had warmed towels after showering. With the snow I would put any damp clothing on the towel rack to dry and warm up for the next trip outside -- although I could have ventured downstairs to use the washer and dryer if I had wanted to.
When the snow got a bit deep the owners came by and shoveled my walk, even scraping my car for me. Such thoughtfulness.
The neighborhood is amazing. The first couple of days I took good walks but after that the snow kept me in. I did visit neighbors who had an art sale to benefit the homeless for the holidays. In better weather I will return to ogle the beautiful homes surrounding the apartment.
I just don't know what could have made this a better experience. Thank you for the perfect home base for my little sabbatical.
