About this property

Otter Bay Cabin is located on Little Kitten Lake on the Wildcat chain ....a 375 acre Class A Musky Lake..4 miles north of Boulder Junction, WI , a popular town in Vilas County. It is a spacious 3 bedroom/2 bath cottage with your own private dock and has all the amenities of home.
Take a look at the video with our photos. It is of the drive into Wildcat Cabins in a winter wonderland. Otter Bay Cabin is available all winter long. There are not many places any prettier than the Northwoods in winter. We're located within a hour drive from some of the best downhill skiing in the UP, within a few miles of wonderful cross country skiing and snow shoeing trails and within a few hundred yards of the snowmobile trails. Enjoy relaxing in front of the fireplace and all the winter activities.
A great place for a weeklong family adventure or a romantic getaway for two. The private setting with a fantastic view from the three seasons porch affords you a great Upnorth experience. You will see loons, otters, eagles, sunsets and beautiful Fall color. Whether you want to relax and curl up with a good book in the hammock, kayak or water ski, fish for the trophy Musky, hike or bike the many marked trails, or shop and dine in the quaint nearby towns, there is something available for each of you.
Winter is a great time to enjoy the Northwoods as well. Snowshoeing, ice fishing, Nordic cross country skiing, snowmobiling, and ice skating are available near our cabin. Snowmobile Trail #15 is at the end of our driveway. After a fun filled day of winter activities, warm up by the fireplace as you watch TV on the large screen.
Direct TV and WIFI are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped. Check out our new décor as you scroll thru the photos. We are pet friendly but limit our guests to one dog. We are here to serve you and excited to make your vacation the best ever.

Successful ice fishing trip with friends

Had a great birthday weekend in the otter bay cabin catching fish in the ice shanty out on big kitten lake. Cabin was as expected. Communication was great just a text away and immediate response. Definitely will be returning in the future. Very beautiful up there. Perfect getaway

Perfect retreat

We stayed at Otter Bay Cabin in the lead up to Christmas, which was very peaceful and quiet. The cabin was cozy and well appointed with all the necessities! It’s very well maintained and decorated. 10/10 would stay again!

Get-a-way Weekend

Our stay was great. Perfect cabin for our group of 4 adults and one dog. It was nice to have the fireplace for the night or two of fall weather we had! Would definitely stay again. Plenty to do around the area and on the resort property itself. Heather is a great host!

Summer Stay

Rare very hot, humid day and unit had no A/C. There was 1 floor fan and a small dresser fan in main bedroom. W/D was on upper level WTH 3rd B/R and bath. Our dog was allowed but until we received final communication we didn’t know we had to bring a kennel. We did enjoy the cabin but there was a lot of furniture in the space. Very clean and quiet.

Sisters Weekend

Four sisters stayed at this very convenient location, super clean, spacious cabin just north of Boulder Junction in Aug of 2024. We were beyond happy with the entire experience. Kayaks, canoes, firewood for the large fire pit, pretty lake and spacious rooms, were just some of the upsides to this VBRO. We highly recommend and will likely go back.

Everything was fine. But a 9 a.m. check out time is a little extreme. Got in at 3 on Friday and out at 10 a.m. on Sunday. Even 10:00 would be better. Other than that, I would recommend. Y

Relaxing stay

Great place and excellent location. We loved the 3 season porch. An excellent place to relax in to get away from mosquitos and when it rained. The kids loved fishing and swimming. Used the kayaks on the beach. 5 minutes to town and to better cell/internet reception. We can’t wait to go back!

Winter getaway

We went for winter fun. The cabin was perfect for our group of three couples. We spent the days on the ice fishing and skating. The town and local establishments were fun to explore. We went out on the ice to experience the night time sky. The stars we absolutely brilliant. Wonderful accommodations for a wonderful stay.

Comfortable cabin with beautiful views!

We had a wonderful time! The views were amazing, property grounds were beautiful! The cabin was so cozy, clean and had everything we needed. The town is only minutes away if we needed anything and enjoyed a dinner at the restaurant just a mile away. We did some ice fishing and had a campfire enjoying the secluded beautiful views of the northwoods! The cabin was perfect and we enjoyed ringing in the new year by the fireplace. The hosts were wonderful and very accommodating! We would love to come back!

Great Cabin, Great Location

My wife and I travel to the Minocqua area every year. We've stayed at a few Wildcat Cabins over the years, and the experience is always wonderful. Clean, fully-furnished cabins. Kind and caring owners who go out of their way to ensure their customers have a nice stay. Our stay in the Otter Bay cabin was no different. Wonderful property. Wonderful owners. We'll be back. A+ experience, as always.

A Great Place to Stay

We came North to ride the bike trails. This house was perfect for our visit. The cabin was clean and cozy. It had everything you might need. The fireplace came in handy for cooler mornings. We enjoyed the firepit each evening. We were even entertained one morning by a pileated woodpecker. We would definitely rent this cabin again.

Wildcat big Kitten

Lovely property, nicer in person than I expected from the photos. Very nice dock - loved the Adirondack chairs! Fishing was excellent on Big Kitten and Wildcat. We caught bass, northern, crappie, and pan fish pretty much every day.

Great stay, everything we needed

This place was perfect for our short visit to Boulder Junction. The screened patio with a great view of the lake was a highlight. The place is conveniently located about five minutes from Boulder junction for shops and groceries. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Northwoods lake life

Nice cozy cabin with a dock and firepit area. Great for couples or families. Clean beach area with kayaks and canoes to use during your stay. The lake is mostly used for fishing and pontoon cruising. Overall a good place to make summer memories!

Nice cabin

The cabin was clean and had most everything we needed. Could have used some AC and maybe some firmer beds. Overall we enjoyed the cabin, nice porch view, and having our own dock for the boat. Would stay again.

Cozy, peaceful place on the lake.

Such a nice Northwoods cabin with a cozy fireplace and screened in porch. A very short drive to town and easy access to many of the area lakes. Bedding was very comfy and bathrooms large and adequate. Great place for a family to relax and enjoy the Northwoods!

We have been guests at Wildcat for the past 30 years. We have fallen in love with the North Woods and particularly the Boulder Junction area. Wildcat Lodge has now become Wildcat Cabins and we are excited to become members of the Wildcat Cabins family. All of the Wildcat Cabins are owned by individuals and are, without a doubt, some of the nicest vacation cabins in the entire area! We live 10 minutes from Otter Bay Cabin from mid May through most of October. We will do everything we can to insure your stay at Otter Bay Cabin is both enjoyable and memorable.
