This home was built in 1924 and was updated by the present owner in 1978 and again in 2017. Great attention to the original construction and architecture was followed even to using the original paint colors. The house is located on a very quite culdesac, with off street parking. This is a very relaxing and comfortable home whether sitting on the front porch or in the living room with the double French doors opened to the Gulf Breeze. You can walk to the Beau Rivage Resort Casino and the beach with a short 1 block stroll under the live oaks on Hopkins Blvd. Bicycle paths are on Howard Ave 50 yards to the north. We have two bicycles at the home for your enjoyment. Tuesday and Thursday of each week ther is the Biloxi Farmers Market less than one block walk on nice secure sidewalks. MGM Park is also within one block of this house. This home has unbelievable location. About the house. It is 1,000 sqft with 2 well sized bedrooms with large closets and several windows. The kitchen and bath have all new appliances and amenities. The living, dining and kitchen are combined into an open floor plan. All floors except the kitchen are original wood floors and original tile in the bath. The home has new modern heating and air conditioners, but still has the floor furnace, attic fan and fireplace with gas logs. The washer and dryer are located on the inclosed back porch. Cable and internet are provided with with 3 TV’s and a stereo. Sorry we don’t allow pets. This home is non smoking. All linens and cooking utensils are furnished. There is room for 2cars to park in the driveway.

About Harvey Brooks
My wife and I met in Thailand. I worked for Esso Exploration and she worked for The Standard Chartered Bank. My office was in the bank building. We married in 1982 and have one son. We reside in Prairieville, LA where we have lived for 17 years. We have lived in several countries and several states before settling down. We have lived in this property briefly in 1988. We had a tenant who moved out this year after renting for 27 years! That is when I decided to quit my corporate job and completely restore the home.

Why Harvey Brooks chose East Biloxi
This home has location, location, location! I grew up in south MS and have traveled to Biloxi as a child. This is the first home I purchased in 1978. A year later I landed a job overseas working for Esso Exploration Asia. I have had numerous offers to sell at a substantial profit but I have always wanted to be able to visit back to Biloxi and this home. This house has survived all the major Huricanes since its construction in 1924, including Camille and Katrina even thoug it is less than a block off the beach! Katrina totally destroyed almost every building between the house and the beach while receiving only some roof damage and one of the columns being blown away. We never did find the column and I replaced it to match the original column to match the other 3 this year. We restored the house back to original as close as possible. Nearly all the floors are the original as well as the ceiling, light fixtures, fireplace, attic fan and floor furnace. We have modern heating and air as well. The home frame is primarily built from cypress and native heart pine. The construction and frame is built to last. This is a very quite neighborhood on a culdesac. There is of street parking for up to 5 autos. There is also an space to party up to a 30 foot motorhome or RV. Ware, sewer and electric are available for the RV but it would be an additional charge and would be included only when renting the home. We have prepared the home with more than basics for your stay. Basic cooking ingredients, coffee, soft drinks, bottled water. You can basically pick up your favorite meat and vegetables and cook without having to make a large shopping trip. There is a neighborhood grocery store a few blocks away. We have also placed two bicycles for your use on the the bike lanes in Biloxi that start at the this location. There is a fenced in back yard for your fury friend.
What makes this House unique
Go back to living in the 1920’s but in modern comfort. Quite and relaxing. A great location to walk, bicycle or jog safely. Large bedrooms, open dining, living room and kitchen with a cozy fireplace. Original wood floors and a very unique ceiling that most people have never seen. Go back in time and relax. But if adventure is what you want the Beau Rivage Resort Casino and beach are less than one block away!

Clean, Quiet neighborhood, and overall very nice.
We loved our 3 day stay at this quiet little home. Mr. Brooks was very easy to reach and went out of his way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Every request we made he managed to make it happen. Thank you so much for a great short and sweet vacation to the coast.

Comfortable 2 bedroom home on quiet street close to beaches, and casinos. Didn’t want for anything. Stayed 2 weeks. Laundry on site was nice. Safe area- walked 8500 steps daily in all directions. Biloxi offered plenty, but also is only 1.5 hours from New Orleans, Mobile, and less to quaint shops in Ocean Springs. Found location as easy on/off hwy 90 and 110. Overall great trip. House also had 2 bikes available. Would recommend this cottage to anyone. Owner is great! Book this place, you will love it!

Great place to stay
Our stay at this home was all positive. The owner was very interested in making sure we had a great time and that things were as advertised. The home was well stocked with all the things one would need to stay. In addition, the owner supplied coffee, tea, spices, paper products and some food items. We would return to this property without hesitation.

Walk to the Beau Rivage with pool and spa privileges. MGM Park one block away. Hard Rock Casino is two blocks . Bicycle paths are adjacent to roads near the home. Two bicy Are provided with the house. Mary Maloney’s Restaurant is three blocks away. There are at least 10 great restaurants with in 5 blocks of the house. You can catch the Ship Island Ferry boat for a great day of beaut Blue water and white sand beaches.
