Our waterfront home is located on 100 foot wide water canal with 30 feet of dockage. This rental is furnished with 1 queen size bed and 1 sofa sleeper to accommodate up to 4 people. We have WiFi. You have access to the Private ocean beach club just a 3- minute walk from our home called the Cabana Club. ( The club has a pool over looking the ocean, a spa/whirlpool, full bar, and grill.

Our home has a newer dock system which allows easy in/out of your boat. We have a fish cleaning station and freshwater hose dockside. Quick access by boat to the Gulf or Atlantic side. The rental has a fully equipped kitchen and has ceramic tiling throughout.

Ideal fishing/ snorkeling & diving only minutes away. 1 hour south of Key Largo and 1 hour north of Key West. Restaurants within walking distance of this rental home. Key Colony has a golf course, walking, jogging, and bike riding paths.

Owner's Response: thank you for the positive review, our dock was a complete rebuild about 3-years ago. It is a beautiful set -up. It measures 60 feet long by 15 feet wide plus and additional 4ft drop down dock to get into/out of your boat easily

We really enjoyed our stay here! The unit was stocked with everything we needed for the week. It's clean, spacious, & in a very nice safe neighborhood. The dock was very nice with quick easy access to the ocean & gulf. The Cabana Club access was a wonderful bonus. Owner was very responsive to messages & easy to work with. We highly recommend this home!

Great Location-Great Price

My husband and I stayed at Curt's Key Colony Beach One Bedroom Unit for two months in November 2016. A spacious unit with tile floors through out. Having Cabana Club privileges is a nice perk in renting this unit--very short walk to the Club, nice pool, beach area and the bar drinks and food are very good. The other three bar/restaurants within walking distance from the duplex are Havanna Jacks, Key Colony Inn and Sparky's-all with great "happy hours" and food. Also, Leigh Ann's Coffee Shop with excellent muffins, breakfast and key lime pie. This unit is very reasonably priced for being on Key Colony and even though its at the front of the duplex-you go right out your slider to the large dock and canal where we saw sharks, dolphin and manatees. New Weber gas grill and a nice cement picnic table in the front of the unit. Excellent location in the Keys to vacation and very nice duplex for the price.

Really enjoyed stay here.

We actually stayed in the two bedroom which is very nice. We had originally reserved the one bedroom but a friend decided to come with us and Curt was so nice and let us upgrade to two bedroom. Curt is really good to work with. We were pleased he accepted dogs with no extra charge with is fantastic. We love to be able to bring our puppies. The house is very conveniently located just before Marathon Key. This is a lovely small key but has everything you need or it is close by. The house is clean and neat. We were able to dock our boat on the canal. There is a public launch across from the Holiday Inn and it takes about 10-15 min to get to the house by water from there depending on the size of your boat. The location is fantastic. You are between the Atlantic and the Gulf. There are several good restaurants within walking distance. The house is good size with a nice screened porch. Even though there is only one bathroom it was no problem. Both bedrooms are good sized with comfortable beds. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for cooking meals. I liked the tile floors because they were easy to clean. We fished some from the canal but did not catch anything. The only negatives are that there is no Wi-Fi but do you really need that on vacation. The other thing to know is that the yards down here seem to be most gravel which I am sure is for convenience, low maintenance. The stones were a little hard for our dogs feet, they are little dogs. This was not a huge problem because there is grass by front yard. A big bonus is the Cabana Club, we love going there for a late afternoon swim and rest in hot tub. The tiki bar offers drinks and some light food options. I didn't think we would use it but went three times and really liked having the ability too go there. We loved this place and will definitely see if it is available when we return to the keys.

One Bedroom Unit

The 1 Bedroom unit does not have a water view. Neither does the rear 2 Bedroom. View is blocked by a concrete wall. Entire property needs a total renovation. One bedroom unit faces the street. Air conditioning vents have black dust all over them. First night there I felt I was getting Bronchitis possibly from breathing the AC. My dog threw up for no reason the next morning for no reason. I decided to leave at that point. Spend a few hundred more for the week and get one of the nicer units.

Owner's Response: We have rented our home since 1998, and have not had any renters who misunderstood the details of our one bedroom unit. The renters enjoy and relax out on the 60 foot dock which is approximately 35 feet from the door. There is a wonderful view along the canal which is the first canal to the open ocean. It is not advertised as canal view.The other unit does have canal view. There is a decorative block wall which has an open pattern which allows view of the other side. There are two large open walk areas of the wall that are directly connected to the dock. Many renters love the semi-private back yard while they are viewing the boats passing by. My family loves the night time view especially. We notified and sent our on-site property manager to the rental immediately after talking with you to inquire about your comments. Gregg Saeger has been our on-site property manager for 15 years. Gregg was confident that he saw no problems of what you described. Their were renters directly before you and several groups directly after you with no problems. We have many repeat renters staying at our place. It is difficult to know what your dog's illness was because there are many new environments a dog can encounter when you take them on vacation. Again sorry to hear that you left.

Clean and Comfortable

Key Colony Beach is our new favorite! The people are all very friendly, and because it is off the highway, the town is slow paced - you can bike everywhere. We had the front half of the duplex but still had access to the dock. We also made use of the eating area in the front yard. The rooms are much bigger than in the photos, and the queen bed has a newer mattress. Everything was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. It would have been nice to have a few extras like more outdoor chairs, beach towels and a cooler, but we spent most of our time at the Cabana Club anyway - great pool and beautiful beach. Can't wait to go back.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the response-- I think it is a great location in the Florida Keys--You can drive to Key west in less than hour and it is a very scenic drive. I like our home on 3rd street because we walk to the Cabana club in 3- minutes. We walk back and start the grill up for the evening or walk over to Spark's for dinner. I love that our home is on the ground floor for easy access.
