Welcome to Tranquility Cottage, a beautifully appointed, well maintained, and updated 2BR/2B half-duplex on 7th Street in Key Colony Beach. Located on the widest canal in Key Colony Beach and opposite Sadowski Causeway you will be in walking distance of local restaurants, Sunset Beach, Fishing and Dive Charter Boats, and the Cabana Club.

Four (4) person occupancy. 7 – Night minimum stay. Sorry, NO SMOKING (INCLUDING E-CIGARETTES) or PETS.

Bedding includes a Queen bed in the Master Bedroom, 2 Queen beds in the Guest Bedroom, and a Queen bed pull-out in the Living Room.

Unhappy with the owner of the property

Let me start with--Our overall stay was enjoyable(we were in the keys so it HAD to be good!)

Now for the critique....

Both bedrooms adjoin so you have to travel back and forth through the middle bedroom to get to living/kitchen area(pretty inconvenient/ no privacy)

We worked through that though.

My main issue was when we checked out and left I get a call from the realtor 3 days later questioning me whether or not we cleaned out the Refrigerator.

I explained that we did and took the garbage out.

She then called back and asked if we carried a black garbage bag with food items in it to the garbage area. I told In fact that my 15year old did take the bag to the garbage area.

She then joked with me and said she was wondering if she needed to scold the cleaning crew or not. I responded jokingly to her and said no you can scold me--lol

Shen then called me back and informed me that the black bag of food had been left in the recycle bin not the garbage bin and the recycling crew left the recycle stuff AND bag of garbage. The owner of the property had to physically drive the recycling stuff to the recycler himself. She then informed me that he would be holding back $100.00 of our deposit for him having to go to the recycler himself!!!

Now don't get me wrong, we made a mistake that inconvenienced the owner. But after spending around $2,000 for our stay I feel it is very petty of the owner to do this. I expressed this to my realtor and she apologized. I explained to her that she needed to start looking for our house next year for mini season--BUT do not offer this house to us again.

Not to mention that when we arrived the recycle and trash cans were full! And we arrived on Saturday(which happens to be the trash/recycle pick up day--so here we sat with overflowing recycle and garbage cans until Tuesday which is the other pick up day.

I feel that charging us $100.00 is absurd--Just in the principle of doing unto others as you would have them do to you. I have been in retail for 25 years. And if I docked everyone of my customers for a minor discrepancy I would NOT have 25 years under my belt.

So I have to give a less than desirable review on principle!

I would think twice before spending your hard earned money on this place and if you do make SURE that you get the correct bag in the correct bins!

Very nice!

Rented for one week. There were four of us and the home was great. It had everything we needed. Very clean and updated! Good location. No complaints. We would definitely stay here again!

Great Location

Middle of the Keys with reasonable driving access to KW or Islamorada. Marathon Key has all you need from Home Depot to Publix. Nicely furnished unit, dock in back, par 3 across the street (very low cost fees and club rentals), nearby walkable nice cabana club, and also easily walkable very good restaurants and marina. Very protected 'neighborhood feel' Key with one bridge access. Recommend this property for anyone.

Wonderful cottage

We have been coming here for years. The location is great, near the Cabana Club, and Cabana Breezes. The Unit is clean and well equipped.

It is close to water sports, and restaurants. There is a nine hole golf course across the street. What more could you ask for?

Highly recommended.
