This one bedroom, one bath which is ideal for the single traveler or couple. It has a King Bed, and a full bathroom with tub and shower. Full kitchen with all items you might need. There is also a washer and dryer for your use inside the unit. Free parking stall, hot tub, bbq and pool area for your use. There is also a special access to the shopping center behind the condo complex for a short cut to the grocery store and all the other amenities available there.

I moved to the Big Island from Colorado 12 years ago after college. I have since married and had two daughters. I purchased my first condo in Kailua Bay Resort in 2004, and have been renting it as a vacation rental since 2006. My parents then purchased this condo in 2012, because they loved the location and want to spend more time here on the big island. So I rent it for them when they aren't using it. I love the big island, and Kona is the place to be. There are nice people, sun, sand and surf, it can't be beat!

Notes:
Much more comfortable than a hotel, and a much better bargain as well. Free parking. This condo complex is mostly occupied by long term renters and owners with a few vacation rentals. It is a desirable location for all who want to be in Kona.

First time in Kona

We had a great time in Kona. It was very easy to get around without a car. There are so many wonderful restaurants within walking distance. The condo is the best equipped we've ever rented. It felt like home immediately. I would definitely come back here. Thank you Erika!

Comfortable and convenient

This condo has everything you could possibly want for a short or long stay. It is well maintained and cared for. And convenient! You can easily walk to Long's Drug store and two major supermarkets, literally 5 minutes away. It is an easy walk to the beach and to many restaurants. Perhaps the best part is the landlord who quickly provided special things that we asked for. Renters have an assigned parking spot. The pool and hot tub are nice extras. We are active senior citizens who enjoy being in Kona in the winter.

Perfect in Paradise

This condo was perfect. Very clean & comfortable and we felt very much at home. We were within walking distance to everything. A block from Starbucks, 2 or 3 blocks from Kona Brewery and 2 blocks from the ocean and plenty of shopping and restaurants to choose from that are close by.

We stayed here for 3 weeks while looking for a house to rent. We are now Hawaii residents and would recommend this condo to friends and family that are just as picky as we are.

Whether you stay here or not, remember that you are on a tropical island and there are going to be some bugs. The only thing I saw in the condo was tiny little ants. Easy to deal with.

The mongoose sightings were and are a thrill. They are so cute. But please leave them alone, they are wild. Come visit. Stay here. And go adventuring. It will be the vacation of a lifetime! !

The condo is located in the heart of Kailua Kona. It is back one street off of Alii drive and the water, on Kuakini Hwy. It is located within a five minute walk of the King Kamehameha Hotel and beach, and the Kailua Pier where Iron Man takes place every year. The farmers market is two blocks away, as well as the grocery store, post office, drug store and banks. You can walk to restaurants and bars and not have to worry about driving afterward. It is the ideal spot if you don't want to have to get in the car each time you want to go somewhere. However, for when you want to explore the island there is a free parking spot included.
