About Sam Valenti
I came to Hawaii in 2001 fresh out of college. I worked in the Chemistry field for a few years before I moved on to Computer's and eventually running a non-profit community theatre. Just recently I was given the opportunity to travel where ever I want. So the travel bug inside me turned my condo into a vacation rental. Hopefully you'll enjoy my home as much as I do.
Sam Valenti purchased this Condo in 2002
Why Sam Valenti chose Historic Kailua Village
I chose this property because it was close to town and quiet. I'd looked at ones nearby but they didn't have the same feel. It had a nice view to remind me I live in Hawaii.
What makes this Condo unique
I think you'll like it for all the same reasons I do, but also because it is walking distance to so many things. If you just wanted a place to relax and not explore the other parts of the island I would dare say you don't even need a car. Also this condo is still my home and has all of the things you could really need. Especially in the kitchen. Please enjoy and think of it as your 'Home away from Home'

Close to everything you need and as advertised
Great location, stay was super smooth from start to finish, didn't even need to contact Sam which is how I like my trips.
You have a Walmart, Safeway, Starbucks and much more nearby
If you really need internet connection make sure to use it in the living room, bedroom connection is weaker.
Overall 5/5 stay
The condo met all my needs
The condo location was very convenient. It was neat and tidy and the internet worked well. The parking was convenient and I liked the first floor location. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
Property was all it was advertised to be and the location was great so convenient
Very clean, conveniently located and well equipped.
Stayed 3 nights in early March. Sam was very helpful and accommodating. Nice place for 2 adults and 2 smaller kids if they come along. Centrally located between the northern big sandy body surfing beaches and the southern snorkeling spots. Great value as all we did was eat and sleep there. Kids loved the boogie boards and we used a couple pairs of snorkel gear already there.
Great condo close to stores and Ali'i drive.
Every home has pros and cons. I felt this condo was priced correctly considering where it is.
Location, clean, beach toys, fully equiped kitchen, close to stores and markets. Priced correctly for space. There is a partial view of the ocean from the lanai. Also had a queen sized air mattress that fit perfectly in the living room.
The queen size bed felt old/ bouncy.
Shower water pressure appeared low.
Could use a new updated toilet as it didn't flush well and it appears to be a high flow trying to work with limited pressure.
Stairs going to the condo instead of ramps. (Didn't bother me, but it would be difficult if disabled.)
We couldn't get the pool keys to work, but the beach is close enough.
If traveling here keep in mind some stores do not offer bags for the items purchased.
As another review stated, the upstairs neighbors are a little loud but we stayed out most of everyday.
Overall we really enjoyed staying here. I will be looking for this rental again in the future.
Thank you for letting us rent your condo!
Everything you could need on vacation
We spent a week in Sam's condo and were impressed by all of the amenities in the unit. He has thought of everything you could need. The location is perfect and you can walk to everything in town including dining and shopping. The sunsets on the shoreline were beautiful. Sam is friendly and easy to reach - not that we had any major issues. We had a great lunch at Lava, Lava Club north of Kona with amazing scenery and excellent food. For a very special meal, go to the Beach Tree restaurant at 4 Seasons. Very pricey but for lunch is a wonderful experience. Thanks, Sam
Nicely furnished, one bedroom, first floor condo with covered parking and a pool will be your home away from home.
Be where the action is. Walking distance to Kailua Pier and King Kam beach. Alii Drive is just a block away from all the restaurants and shops of downtown Kona.
Enjoy the local cuisine at a number of restaurants close by as well as national chains. Kona Brewing Company is nearby and known for their micro beers as well as wonderful pizza and sandwiches. Go snorkeling off the Body Glove or enjoy swimming at the beach.
If you rent a car, a whole world of entertainment awaits you on the beautiful island of Hawaii. Stay in Kona and go to any number of beaches and visit Captain Cook's monument or any of the coffee plantations. A short two-hour drive away is Hilo and the volcanos. You can easily make a day trip to a number of beaches along the way.
