Our 'home away from home' townhome is the perfect place to enjoy your vacation! It is luxuriously decorated with top of the line furnishings and orginal art work, yet extremely comfortable and welcoming. Since our townhome is NOT a full-time rental, you can relax in quality and comfort! This townhome is all about location, location, location! It is just steps across the grass to the ultra quiet, tropical free-form pool and spa. Enjoy watching your family in the pool, while grilling dinner on the lanai using the built-in Viking BBQ! Wake up to magnificent sunrises with views of both Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea!

Our townhome features the much desired 'A' floor plan with 2 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and over 1600 square feet of living area, PLUS 428 square feet of lanai! In our private single car garage you will find boogie boards, snorkel gear, (4) adult bicycles, scooters(Razor), beach chairs, a rolling cooler, pool toys, umbrellas and more! All for your use while you are staying with us... ample parking is just steps away!

The Fairways at Mauna Lani is a newly built (2006), private, gated community situated along the fourth and twelfth fairways of the award winning Francis H. Brown golf course (North Course). The Fairways low density design, lush and tropical landscaping, make it the perfect place to relax...by the quiet, guest only free-form pool with lava rock waterfall and hot tub, or on your private lanai. Enjoy the Fairways many amenities including; private fitness center and clubhouse.

KITCHEN:

The gourmet kitchen has granite countertops and GE appliances and everything you would need to prepare a five course meal. There is a round, solid teak dining table with seating for six, along with two complete sets of dishware for eight (formal and casual). Our kitchen is fully stocked~food processor,blender,toaster, rice cooker,condiments,sauces,dry goods and more!

LIVING ROOM:

The open style living room invites you to relax while reading or watching television from the large flat screen TV, with CABLE (DVR available) and DVD/CD player and PS3. Or listen to music on the CD player with optional IPOD docking station!

MASTER BEDROOM:

The upstairs master bedroom is a tranquil oasis with a brand new king size Keetsa Supreme mattress, solid mahogany sleigh bedframe, teak highboy, flat screen TV with CD/DVD player, ceiling fan, a private retreat/office with desk and HP wireless scanner/printer for your use (just bring your laptop!). Private master bedroom lanai with comfortable seating...drink your coffee here in the morning and enjoy the views and tropical breeze. The master bathroom boasts two closets, a walk-in shower, two sinks, and a jetted jacuzzi tub!

SECOND BEDROOM:

The second bedroom features two brand new Casper extra long twin beds which can be converted to a KING size bed if needed, private bathroom, ceiling fan, two closets, six drawer teak dresser, flat screen TV with DVD player, and Nintendo GameCube system (with games!).

LAUNDRY ROOM:

Front loading (water efficient)washer and dryer make extended stays a breeze! The large granite counter-top provides ample space to store your beach towels, extra water and supplies!

From the Fairways, you can walk to the newly built Shops at Mauna Lani and enjoy coffee at Kimos, visit art galleries, or dine at either Ruth's Chris Steakhouse or the Tommy Bahama Café. The very convenient Farm Market has everything you would need for your stay...from fine wine and cheese to fresh produce and the basics! The Fairways is also only a two block walk to the Fairmont Orchid Hotel which boasts the Spa Without Walls, a great beach, and fine dining. Golfing is only a few minutes drive down the road.

We want your vacation to be as fun and relaxing as possible. We have just purchased four new bicycles for cruising around the resort~great for riding to the market/shops/coffee/beach! We also provide you with: beach towels, boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach chairs (and gear), and so much more!

About Laura

I grew up on the island of Maui, but had never been to the Big Island of Hawaii until roughly 5 years ago...and I fell in love! My husband and I (along with our good friends the McDaniels) decided we just had to buy our 'home away from home' on the island of Hawaii! We found just the perfect place in the Mauna Lani Resort; at The Fairways at Mauna Lani. A tranquil and beautiful resort property with views of the volcanoes (Mauna Loa, Mauna Kea, and Kohala) and the rock lava waterfall at the beautifully landscaped free-form pool. We bought our 'home away from home' on the Big Island of Hawaii because we fell in love with island itself. It truly is a beautiful and magical place! The island is large and offers diverse landscapes, terrains, and climates...from the sunny and dry Kona Side to the green and lush Hilo Side. Five volcanoes, gorgeous beaches, and endless beauty abound on this island!

What makes this townhome unique

We have designed out townhome to be welcoming, relaxing, and elegant all at the same time. We have given special attention to the comfort level of all the furnishings...plush fabrics, teak woods, and original Hawaiian artwork fill our townhome. Our family is our number one priority (and we know yours is too!), so we have provided some 'extras' that make travelling with the family (old and young alike) a little easier.... We have four new bicycles for you to use around the resort, 2 razor scooters for the kids, snorkel gear, boogie boards, and tons of beach paraphernalia, pool toys, a highchair and port-a-crib if traveling with a little one, and we keep a fully stocked kitchen (non-perishables) so that you don't have to spend your vacation dollars on oil and seasonings! Our townhome is located within walking distance to the beach, shops, and walking trails...golf is only a minutes drive away! We LOVE it here...and are confident you will too.

Lots of TLC and "extras" at this beautiful Hawaii condo! Furnished with your comfort in mind. The furnishings are classy, the beds are to-die-for, the kitchen perfectly stocked, the view divine and the total experience an unforgettable one. The owners of this unit have not left anything out in planning for your perfect vacation and, believe me, you'll be back! (Take a trip to the botanical gardens - a "must-see")

Fantastic Mauna Lani townhome for families or couples!

We had a terrific family vacation over Christmas, 2017 in this beautiful townhome in the Mauna Lani Fairways development! Great location close to the beaches, both the Mauna Lani resort hotel and spa, and the Fairmont Orchid resort propery. Well appointed condo with everything you need for a great Hawaiian vacation, and walking distance or short drive to the nearby Foodland Farms market and adjoining shops and restaurants. The private owners beach club and beach/cove are an added plus! Laura is an excellent hostess who made us feel very welcome! I highly recommend this property and these owners who will make sure you have a great vacation in their Hawaiian home away from home.

Home away from home in paradise!

We stayed here for 2 weeks and can not say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. The home had everything we would need and more. i.e. anything you'll need for the beach, and the kitchen was very nicely stocked for home cooking.

We appreciated how everything was kept very clean and furniture was also quite nice/comfy.

If you are traveling with kids who love swimming you can't get any closer to the pool. Literally. The pool gate is about 30 feet from the back patio door. A huge convenience!

We would definitely return someday.

All we hoped for and more!

This was our 3rd time to the Big Island and we’re getting better at it each time. We spent 3 nights in Volcano before heading over the Mauna Lani for a week and loved the contrast. Also appreciated the perfectly warm and sunny weather every day in the Mauna Lani area in November (it felt warmer than our experience in Maui the same time of year). Still a convenient location for touring lots of places around the island. Laura’s condo was extremely comfortable and very spacious feeling and had absolutely everything we needed. The location right by the entrance to the pool was totally awesome, so that we could all come and go to the pool and hot tub with ease. It felt so homey we really didn’t feel like going home. The private beach club is an excellent, uncrowded beach and we loved the bikes provided and convenience of the Shops. Restaurants are more expensive than Kona but after a few days we got the hang of taking advantage of happy hours, and the kitchen was a dream to cook in. Thanks so much to Laura for such a wonderful vacation!

Big Island Paradise

If you want the most wonderful vacation stay of your life - this is the place to rent. My husband and I spent two weeks in this beautiful home (not a house or condo - a home). Laura made sure we had everything we could possibly imagine for a glorious, task-free stay. You'll never find a home more outfitted for visitor's pleasure. We had the pool just out the backdoor. Sometimes that may not be the best location, but it is so quiet in this resort community, we never heard anyone. But, with all that - the best feature of this rental is access to the most amazing private beach and resort restaurant right on the beach. We had lunch at the restaurant every day and enjoyed the diverse menu. Even when the air conditioning went out for a day, our enjoyment of our stay remained. The repairmen came quickly and Laura sent the cool trade winds for our comfort that night (I told you she thinks of everything!). I wish I could say even more, but I will leave it at Perfection! We will return!!

Of course, it was Murphy's Law that the A/C went out while you were there, since that was the first time in over 10 years it required a significant repair. :o( Robert, our A/C guy is so great! I was so relieved to hear he was able to address the coil problem the next day-whew! Fantastic home for a stay in Paradise

This is an amazing home with everything you could possibly need. The location is fantastic, right by the pool but never feeling busy or overlooked. We walked to the shops at Mauna Lani and enjoyed the free Polynesian shows. The beach is a short drive away and it's great to have the access card so you park and enjoy free use of the cabanas and loungers. Laura was great to deal with, answering all our questions promptly and giving us clear instructions prior to getting there. The home is very clean and comfortable with plenty of space. We really could not have asked for more and definitely want to return. Thank you for letting us use your beautiful home for our most amazing holiday.
