Paradise family vacation
Plenty of room for a family of 7 to spread out! Three story house with excellent ocean view from all levels. Clean and with many amenities.
It’s 20 minutes to Kona town where there are lots of restaurants and shops.
The nearby Sheraton has a great Luau, and we used the concierge there to book multiple other excursions such as atv ride in Valley of the Kings’s, snorkeling boat trip to two locations including Captain Cook monument and shoreline.
The volcano national park is just south of the house. Check out the “southern most point”. Beautiful cliffs.
It was so nice to be able to have leisurely breakfast at the house with that glorious view. The lower level is twice as nice as the pictures show. It even has its own private balcony. Book it. We stayed first two weeks of April 2018.
Oh and the black lava beach is just down the hill. Beautiful aqua and white ocean water with black sand.
Great views, clean comfortable home. Location was 40 min away from most cities and beaches. Traffic can easily make most drives 1hr.
Nice views, lots of lanai!
The design of the home was unique and beautiful, the many lanais were lovely.
Unbelievable Views and an Architectual Marvel
Our stay consisted of 8 adults ranging in age from 21 to 59 and because of the unique design of this home everyone was able to play cards, build puzzles and gather for meals yet find plenty of "private" space in the rooms, on the decks and in the garage area while using the BBQ.
Gloria was extremely helpful and responsive to anything we needed, the rental process was simple and smooth and Heidi from the management company was easily accessible.
The location is remote but we found two great coffee shops within an 8 minute drive and the beach at the bottom of the hill is very private with lots of creatures such as crabs and eels. The drive to and from the airport was easy, the Manta Ray snorkeling was about 30 minutes by car and the Volcano National Park is about 1 1/2 hours. We found great snorkeling at 2 Step which was a short drive from the house and well worth the $5 parking fee if you arrived after 10am but there is also free parking spaces for the early birds.
There were boogie boards, snorkels, fins, a cooler and chairs available along with umbrellas and towels. This home is not used heavily for rentals which you can tell by the quality of the flatware, dishes and linens and all the furniture and electronics are very nice without heavy wear and tear.
We will definitely stay here again when visiting the Big Island in the future.

We loved the house and the location--perfect for exploring the southern end of the Kona coast, with stunning views down the coast. If you want ready access to Kailua town, this isn't your place. If you are looking to get away, this is it. Lots of beautiful places to explore, all within easy driving distance. The house is very comfortable, with well-appointed kitchen and great decks on on all three levels. If allowed, we would have rated 4.5 stars--a few minor issues detracted from what otherwise would have been perfection.
Clean, up to date, spacious, great for families.
We had an amazing time. We were in town for our friends wedding and 8 adults stayed here. There were plenty of bathrooms and the kitchen was perfect size for cooking for 8.
The open center design of the house was just what we needed. The covered lanai was where we spent most of our time, overlooking the water. The only downside is the driveway. It is very steep and if the house that shares the driveway was occupied, it could be difficult to get in to this driveway. I know it can't be changed and it is what it is. You can park at the bottom and walk uphill a ways to the side entry into the house if needed. I would recommend staying here and will stay there again if I go with a big group.
