Kick up your feet and relax in this 3 bedroom riverfront cabin walking distance to downtown (Estes Valley STR permit #6089). This incredible unit features an outdoor hot tub, fire pit, gazebo and picnic area on the banks of the Big Thompson River. You can literally walk 20 feet from your bedroom to fish. During the nights, enjoy the fireplace in the open kitchen/dining area; comfy chairs, a beautiful leather sofa, and a giant bean bag make this the perfect spot for a couple or a group up to 8.
This beautiful, cozy cabin is located in the most perfect spot in Estes Park, literally on the edge of the Big Thompson River about a block and a half from the edge of downtown. The cabin features a huge, open living/dining area with lots of sunlight, a private hot tub, a fire pit, a gazebo with a BBQ for outdoor living, and a river in which can fish.
When you're here, you can leave the car behind, avoid the traffic of downtown, and just walk to your favorite restaurants, bars and shops. At the same time, it's on a private side road with no traffic, allowing you to have all the benefit of being centrally located without having to deal with the congestion. Additionally, the National Park entrance is a quick 5 minute drive from the front door.
The place is tastefully decorated with mountain and cabin-themed decor, complete with beautiful handmade Amish furniture. There are three bedrooms: a master suite, a queen bedroom, and a kids' bedroom with a bunk bed. The master suite features a heavy log bed frame that's just gorgeous.
The kitchen is fully equipped, with a blender, coffee maker, fridge/freezer, pots and pans, cutlery, silverware, baking supplies, and all the gadgets and utensils you can imagine. There's a great breakfast bar with seating for three and a kitchen table with seating for four. The open living space also features a comfy leather couch, beanbag chair, and recliner, all centered around the beautiful, custom-built gas fireplace. The couch is comfy enough to sleep in, but there's also an air mattress in the chest that serves as the coffee table.
Cable TV channels and fast WiFi is provided for free.
The outside area is shaded thanks to tons of mature trees. You will likely see deer or elk grazing on the grass.
Many of the town's top restaurants and attractions are all within a five minute walk: the Estes Park Brewery and Rock Cut Brewery, the China Garden restaurant, Sweet Basilico Restaurant (tasty Italian food with great pizza), and the iconic Donut Haus. Pro tip: buy a t-shirt there and every time you wear it in, you get a free donut.
In the same 2 block radius is a liquor store, a winery, a couple of food trucks (parked at Rock Cut -- sometimes you'll find fried chicken and other times you'll find a crepe truck). Be sure to walk to the gondola during the summers; it goes up Prospect Mountain and offers breathtaking views of the continental divide, the national park, and the entire Estes Park valley. The kids can walk a block to Fun City and enjoy the bumper boats and bumper cars, mini golf, a giant slide, a bungee trampoline, and go-cart racing. A half block away is the super fun aerial obstacle course of the Open Air Adventure Park. Within another block or two are bars, more restaurants, a winery, and a movie theater. Some of these attractions are closed seasonally, so please check them out on the Internet.
The free summer shuttle bus that goes all over town has a stop a half a block away, so you can board it and get around for free.
The place is extremely family friendly, though it is on the edge of a river so be sure to supervise your kids, particular during the early summer when the snow starts to melt and the water level rises.
This is a fully furnished, private cabin that you have complete access to! That includes a master suite with a bedroom and bathroom; the kids' room with 2 bunk beds, a second bathroom, a third bedroom with a queen bed, an outdoor gazebo with a picnic area and BBQ, a hot tub, a fire pit and swinging chair on the edge of the river, and a 450 s/f deck wrapping around the edge of the house. The unit has two private off street parking spots.
I live in Estes Park and know the town and the National Park like the back of my hand. I moved here in 2006 and am a photographer specializing in weddings and family portraits. I have spent more than a decade climbing, hiking and adventuring in and around Rocky Mountain National Park and am happy to offer advice on the best hikes, drinks, dining and adventures in the area. I'm just a quick text or email away!
Estes Park has a free shuttle network that goes all over the town and into the National Park. The brown line has a stop a half block from this unit, so you can hope on and pretty much go everywhere. In general, the shuttles run late June to mid-September.
