Sitting on the shores of Douglas Lake with private lake access and dock, this cabin is in the perfect location for the family looking to get away for a wet and wild adventure. Bring your boat, or rent one nearby, because this cabin offers nearby ramp access, and a private dock to park it on the lake overnight. The covered wrap around porch features a hot tub, rocking chairs, swing, and a gas grill that all overlook beautiful Douglas Lake, which has some of the best views the Smokies have to offer! Your family can spend the days enjoying all the adventures that Douglas Lake has to offer, and your nights relaxing in all the modern comforts of home. Walking into the cabin you are greeted with hardwood throughout, a fully furnished kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, a kitchen island with sink, and all the modern comforts one comes to expect in a vacation property. This cabin comes with a seasonal wood burning fireplace, 55-inch flat screen TV, two full baths, and two master suites that each have a king size bed. The upstairs of the cabin has been set up to be an upper-level kids retreat with a custom set of queen size bunk beds, sleeper sofa, sitting area, pool table, multi-cade stand up arcade machine, and a flat screen 50-inch TV with DVD player. The kids can slip away into their own personal level in the third-floor loft area with TV and bed mats. This cabin is great for a quick family getaway, or for the family looking to spend some time on the water. Smoke on the Water is within the Douglas Lake Resort and has access to the seasonal outdoor pool. Douglas Lake hosts some of the best views in the Smokies period! Spring Break

The cabin was clean and spacious. We had 6 adults in our party and never felt over crowded. The staff was friendly and quick to respond. The water level was low, therefore we could not enjoy the amenities of the dock or lake. But the hot tub was perfect for relaxing. The water pressure in the shower was amazing. We would stay again.

Quick getaway

The cabin was very private. My husband and I came for a relaxing couple of days and this cabin did not disappoint. Although we did not cook our meals we could have because the cabin had everything to do that. The cabin is far enough away from the crowds but close enough to be in pigeon gorge or gatlinburg quick. We would stay here a gain.

Great lakeside cabin

I highly recommend this cabin to a family with kids that enjoys nature. The kid loft area is amazing. The cabin is nice. We would consider returning to this one. ❤️

Cabin by the lake

The cabin was nice. There were a few things we had issues with. The direct tv didnt work on the main level but we decided not to call about it. The heat also was not working properly. We did call about that but didnt get a call back for the resolution. Overall it was a nice cabin. Be prepared they only supply basics.

A rainy Easter weekend

It was a great place to hangout and play! The rain kept us from going to Dollywood but we didn’t mind. There was plenty to do inside, great scenery, and much needed down time!

Most amazing view

The cabin was all we hoped it would be: secluded and comfortable. The check-in was all done on line and we received our access code about 20 minutes before we arrived. Everything we needed was here, and grocery store not far. The view of the lake is amazing!

Great stay with an amazing view of the lake!

We had a great stay at Smoke on the water. Douglas Lake is such a peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. This particular cabin is very cozy and has most of the basics you need. The only thing missing from this to be the perfect cabin was wifi and a fire pit for wood burning and smores. Other cabins we have stayed at on Douglas lake have those amminities. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay. Thank you for opening your home to us!

Check in was great. The cabin was amazing.

I would have given the cabin a 5 ⭐️ but it was very dusty. The window panes on the top and bottom are full of dust, the ceiling fans are full of dust actually the entire home had a lot of dust which caused two of the people in our party allergies to flare up really bad. Other than that everything was great.

Enjoyed this cabin alot

We stayed here for two weeks and enjoyed ourselves immensely. We relaxed and enjoyed the view. Was out on the dock many days soaking in the sun. Many days using the grill out side. We had an issue with the hotub and the management had someone out the very next morning to fix it. And we enjoyed it the rest of our stay in the hot tub. The cabin is nice and comfy only complaint there is my toddler running over my room in the loft made it sound like he was going to fall through but that's cabins for ya. Every cabin I've stayed at done that

Beautiful spot but needs some attention.

The cabin itself is in a beautiful setting and has a great layout. We did find the cabin in need of a good cleaning as well as the property. There was litter all along the path to the lake and a significant amount of garbage by a very broken fire pit near the dock. Most light fixtures needed new light bulbs, some were down to one working bulb. We woke one morning to no hot water. When we called to report the issues the staff was friendly and they came quickly to repair the water heater.

Cabin was great

Found on VBRO but really registration process was through Fire side chalets. Cabin was clean and everything was nice and enjoyed stay. Location on VBRO was not as listed. I was looking for cabins located on Muddy creek on Douglas to fish and have short boat runs everyday. This was shown as on Muddy creek which is why I rented it. However you do not get the actual address from Fireside chalets until day of check in which was after I paid a non refundable trip. They also don’t provide maps of their cabins on their website that I could find. This cabin was a 20 min boat ride to where I wanted to fish and was just up from Flatt creek near the dam instead of mid lake. Cabin was great and having marked trailer parking was a plus but wouldn’t have booked based upon location.

Beautiful lake view and access.

The cabin was just as described on VRBO. Very nice cabin with a beautiful view of the lake and very nice dock. The water depth in late June was 14’ perfect for swimming and docking a ski boat. I called early on the day of check in to ask about launching a boat and was pleasantly surprised to be allowed early check in. However, there are areas that could be improved. The beds in the loft were not very comfortable. Also, there was a board missing on the walkway to the dock which could be dangerous for older people and children. I received an email the day before check in saying that towels and paper products were limited and we should bring our own if planning on staying more than a couple of days. It would have been nice to know that when we booked or better yet to just have more provided by the owner. Over all I would recommend this rental, just be sure to bring towels and paper goods.

Great Family Vacation!

The cabin was a great place to stay. My kids enjoyed the hot tub and my husband enjoyed fishing in the lake and I loved the view! The ladies working at Fireside Chalets were absolutely amazing and so nice.

Lakefront Disappointment, Clean?

Our overall stay didn't meet our expectations, with a notable disappointment being the lake level, which had receded beyond the dock. Surprisingly, the listing didn't mention the seasonal fluctuations in lake levels despite advertising "private dock access" or "lake access." Moreover, the cleanliness of the cabin left much to be desired. Cobwebs were widespread in corners and around lighting fixtures, and it appeared that areas under the beds had been overlooked for some time. The loft was particularly unsatisfactory, containing dirty cotton swabs and trash left behind by previous occupants. Even minor details became frustrating; some TV remotes lacked batteries. Despite the onsite washer/dryer being a helpful amenity that allowed us to address some cleanliness issues ourselves, I cannot recommend staying here based on our overall experience.
