About this property

New Lake Home on Three Lakes Chain - Rustic Charm with Modern Comfort

New to the vacation home rental market is this recently built, log-sided, 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom, 4-season lake home on the beautiful Three Lakes Chain of Lakes, a Class A musky fishery with excellent walleye, crappie, and bass fishing. The lake home sits on the western shore of Planting Ground Lake, surrounded by pines and oaks, just a five minute drive from the Town of Three Lakes.
The layout of the home is the classic "walk-out" cabin style. As you enter the home through a coat room/foyer on the main level, you will pass through a galley-style kitchen with quartz counter tops and stainless appliances. The kitchen opens into a pinewood paneled dining room and great room overlooking the lake through floor to ceiling windows. A gas-burning fireplace in the great room completes this cozy, Northwoods scene. Also on the main level is a private master bedroom/bathroom suite with a king-sized bed. An additional full guest bathroom is provided on the main level. Above the main level is a loft that looks out over the lake. Two futon couches are provided in the loft. The lower level of this home has a den with a gas fireplace and LED TV, two bedrooms, and a third full bathroom. One bedroom has a queen bed. The other bedroom has full/full bunk beds that the kids are sure to love. Walk out of the den through the patio door to a landscaped terrace with a charcoal grill and a fire pit and beautiful Planting Ground Lake in the background. From the terrace, a sloping path lined with landscaped timber steps leads to the lake and the boat dock. The fishing is excellent right off the pier!
We provide: 8 sets of towels and bedding, basic pots and pans, dishes and utensils, garbage bags, toilet paper, a few rolls of paper towels. The complete kitchen is equipped with a fridge/freezer with ice maker, dishwasher, electric oven/range, microwave, toaster, Keurig coffee machine, drip coffee machine, dish and dishwasher soap. There is a stack of firewood for the fire pit.
Bring your own: lawn chairs, toiletries, beach towels, charcoal, etc.
No smoking, no pets.
June, July, and August rentals are full week only, Saturday - Saturday.

Three Lakes Treasure

Matt’s cabin is beautiful! Great location with beautiful views of the lake. The cabin is clean, well appointed and is set up for families or romantic get-aways. The Three Lakes chain is fun to explore and the fishing was fantastic while we were there. Matt was attentive to our needs and checked in with us several times to answer any questions we had. Enjoy some time here! You won’t be disappointed!

Nice newer cabin on Three Lakes chain

The lake cabin is newer, with great charm (wood throughout), new appliances, dual zone HVAC and fireplaces (gas). The road is has a great "up north" feel, trees and rolling hills; there was ample parking on site for 2-boat trailers. Nice deck on the main level, a Weber charcoal grill on the lower. There are a lot of stairs to the dock, 78 to be exact, and it's fairly steep. It was work carrying musky gear up and down, and I'm in fairly good shape. We docked 2-17-foot boats for the duration of the stay; the dock could use a few more cleats. Communication with Matt, the owner, was easy and efficient. He met at the cabin to review things and chatted for a bit (very nice to meet a VRBO owner). Overall, it was an "A" for the cabin and the stay. The Three Lakes chain is nice, with much water to explore and fish (one musky caught, it was too hot), and lots of boat traffic over Labor Day weekend, but that's expected. I would recommend this cabin, just be ready for the stairs!

Great place to spend time in the great outdoors!

Overall it had everything you could want. The Chain of Lakes that the cabin is on is awesome. The cabin was very clean and also having 3 bathrooms was great. Overall we had a great time and a very good overall experience.

For a laugh, I tell people I'm a housewife. But seriously, I'm a semi-retired, married guy, who takes care of my wife, our house in Three Lakes, and our two canine kids. I also manage our rental cabin and I'm a real estate agent.

What makes this property unique

If you have yet to experience the Northwoods of Wisconsin, and specifically, the Three Lakes area, you're in for a real treat. This place is beautiful in all seasons. Summer is when most families come to enjoy the warm weather and Northwoods lake life. Autumn offers less crowds, cooler weather, great fishing, and amazing fall colors. Once the snow falls (and keeps falling), the winter can be the most beautiful time of the year when the pine trees are heavy with fresh snow and the lakes freeze over. Springtime brings the big thaw and some of the best fishing all year in April and May.
