About Virginia Wright

We bought two cottages in 2003 as a vacation get away for family and friends. Our family uses the cottages often, so the kitchens are well equipped and the beds are very comfy. We have a black lab named Remy who is definitely a water dog. Its hard to keep him out of the water. We fell in love with this home the first time we saw it . With a windy drive, pines and birch trees, and the beautiful lake views we never want to leave. Its breathtaking.

Lovely location, lovely cottage!

  • 5 of 5

We were lucky to have a fabulous week weather-wise, and the accommodations couldn't have been better. Nice newer cottage is extremely well done, it was perfectly clean, and was stocked with all the utensils needed for cooking. It was evident by the helpful notes, and binder of brochures and current fishing regulations, that the owners are extremely detail orientated - they really thought of everything.

We would have loved to have an outboard motor to put on the boat that was provided, but my husband brought his trolling motor and battery and that was fine for trolling around the point on days when the water was calm. He caught a 16" bass and another about a 1/8" shy of the 14" limit - but the a lady in a cabin nearby caught a 33" muskie and her son caught a 22" musky while we were up there.

I'm not sure how actual swimming would be but you can wade out quite a ways before the water gets to waist deep and the bottom was sandy so I think it might work out great for younger kids. Our dog sure loved it!

Beautiful cabin on peaceful cove with opportunities to see a lot of wildlife.

The cabin was equipped with everything we needed for the week.

Loved how quiet and peaceful it was, yet close to many activities.
