Rendezvous House - Old Homosassa Deep Water Canal - Perfect Get Away!

Our Rendezvous House is located on a deep-water canal in a quiet residential neighborhood on the South side of the Homosassa River. We are just around the corner from marker 76, west of the boat ramp at MacRaes and right at the end of “idol speed” - Perfect location to head out for a day of fishing, scalloping, or just cruising along the river.

Just a few minutes by golf cart (Golf cart not included but you are welcome to bring yours) to The Freezer, MacRaes (The Shed), Shelly’s Seafood Market, Wild Sassa Restaurant, Riverside Resort (home of Monkey Island) and the Old Mill Tavern.

Our fully furnished 1 Bedroom/1 Bath bungalow sleeps 4 adults comfortably with your choice of a King bed OR two twin beds in the bedroom and a Queen Murphy bed in the spacious living area. Fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar overlooks the dining and living area. Bathroom has a shower, double sink vanity and laundry center.

Huge upper deck around 3 sides of the house is perfect for relaxing or entertaining. Our 65' Boat dock has plenty of room for your boat (additional charge for more than 2 watercraft) and the lower deck and open-air covered area is perfect for entertaining. Grill, picnic table, fish cleaning table, fire pit and plenty of room for parking make this the perfect place to "rendezvous" with old and new friends

Perfect stay!

Tammy and Kevin were great hosts! Their house felt like home away from home. Stocked with everything we could need. Was very clean too! Sitting on the dock in the mornings and after being on the boat was so relaxing. We really loved every part of the home and look forward to returning :-)

What A Fun Stay!!!

My husband and I along with another couple truly enjoyed our weekend getaway - although it would certainly work as a family setting as well. The hosts are extra friendly and super helpful - easy to find if you need anything as they live next door! The property is adorable and functional and the dock space was great for our boat! Highly recommended and we will be back!

Perfect River House

We spent 4 days at this house on the river, and it was perfect! The property was easily accessible by both road and boat. We had plenty of room to park 2 vehicles and 2 trailers. The house had everything we needed and was cozy. We would absolutely stay here again!

Great Place

This is a great little place to stay in Homosassa for a small family or friends. Would definitely rent again. We have began renting in this part of town over the spring area where we have in the past. Very convenient to avoid the idle zone in town. Still easy to get to the spring or straight back to the house in case of weather.

Homosassa July 2023

We had a great time and this house was a perfect location. It was so close to the main water area to go out to go fishing or scalloping and close and convenient to the area restaurants. It was so nice and easy to be able to park our boat there for the week at the dock and have it ready to go each day. We met Tammy, she was super nice and went over and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The outdoor space under the house with the grill and picnic table was perfect for grilling and having dinner outside, which is where we spent most of our time (fishing also). It is definitely a perfect location and we will definitely be going again.

From the moment we turned in to this neighborhood, the homes are beautiful. Continue on almost to end of the street & the beauty abounds as you pull under your home away from home; the Owners did not miss a detail here!! From cleanliness & essentials, to comfortable furniture, stunning interior details & true Southern hospitality, this rental is an absolute gem!! The massive upper deck, impeccable dock & wide canal (with quick Gulf access) all unveil Florida at her finest. I highly recommend this rental & it's location on the waterways! We will be back ASAP!!

Unbeatable with a boat

If you are going to the river this is the best place to stay. The dock is brand new and the water is deep even at low tide for 30 foot center console. Power on the dock and water. Only 10 minutes from Mcraes and 20 minutes to the springs. Right at the end of the no wake zone to head straight to the gulf. Be careful in the river and stay in the channel at all times. Look up hellsgate on yutube to watch boats going thru the tightest spot in the river. Very good air conditioning and nice decor. You can also rent a golf cart locally from the monkey bar and hit all the bars and restaurants. We will be back!

This little house was perfect for our needs. It has lots of windows to enjoy views in all directions. We loved sitting out on the wrap around deck and enjoying the day. The house was very clean, the beds were comfortable, towels plentiful, and we had everything we needed for our stay. Tammy was very attentive and even helped us locate a store with allergy-friendly foods for our daughter. We hope to come back again next year and get another little break from the winter!
