Sleeps 8-12 this cabin has three bedrooms, two baths and a loft game/play/sleep
This Fabulous Big Trees Beauty has everything you could want for a first class vacation, with sleeping for eight and the ability to increase occupancy to twelve (at an extra per person charge). This cabin has three bedrooms, two baths and a loft game/play/sleep area along with a full-service kitchen; master suite with private access to the huge deck area which is perfect for easy entertaining. Our vacation home is fully equipped and situated on one acre that backs up to the National Forest.
In the summer, enjoy the beautiful outdoors at the cabin barbecuing on the deck or sitting around the fire pit to roast marshmallows (if it’s a burn day). Get out and go for a hike through Calaveras Big Trees State Park. You can fish, kayak, canoe, or even pan for gold on the Stanislaus River, or spend the day swimming and playing at Lake Alpine or Spicer. Explore at California Cavern, climb, crawl and squirm through gooey, sticky mud, or take a tour at the Gold Cliff Mine. Explore 2 historic gold mine sites, or at the Moaning Caverns, you can rappel 165 feet by rope to the bottom of the main chamber. If you enjoy the wine country, head down to Murphy’s, a 25 minute drive to visit some of the Sierra’s most outstanding wineries. Ironstone Winery is stunning, and has great concert attractions. They also have excellent wine, and in a vault the largest piece of gold ever found in California. Murphy’s downtown has charming shops and wonderful restaurants in which to dine. Arnold is closer to the cabin to spend the day browsing shops and restaurants, including the Snowshoe Brewery, that has some wonderful microbrews.
In the winter watch the family sled in front of the deck or build a big snow man. We are only a 20 mile ride to Bear Valley Ski Resort for some of the best skiing and snowboarding in the Sierras, without the crowds. This cabin is beautiful with vaulted ceilings and hardwood floors. It is fun to snuggle, relax in front of the fire place and watch the snow fall outside.
You will need to bring your own sheets, pillow cases and towels. Everything else is provided.
In the winter, even if the roads are clear you need chains or a 4x4 to get down the driveway to access our cabin!!!!

The cabin was very clean upon arrival. We were syrprised at how beautiful it was in person.
Overall, our stay at the cabin was excellent! We would definitely come back again.
Beautiful, large house in a wonderful woodsy setting.
We loved the setting, the large windows, the well-stocked kitchens. Beds were comfy enough. Futons aren't my favorite.
Beautiful cabin tucked away in the woods
We really enjoyed staying in this cabin and found there to be more than enough space for us. The cabin was a nice distance from the road and felt a little more private and tucked away than most but was still very convenient getting into town. There was a king bed in the master downstairs, and upstairs had one bedroom with two queens and another bedroom with two queens and a twin bed. There was also a day bed in the loft with a pool table and dart board (although we couldn't fine where the darts were). The kitchen was very well-equipped and had everything we needed. We took a small hike to a cute little creek using a trail that we found behind the cabin and even spotted some deer. The only thing that would make this property better is if it had a hot tub! Would love to stay here again next time we are in the area!
Thank you so much for the nice review of our cabin, and happy to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. We would love to have you return for another visit in the future.
Family fun summer vacation
We had 9 people in our group (adults and kids) and there was plenty of room. It was clean and had all the supplies we needed for a fun trip. We took a day trip to Big Trees State Park and the following day we spent at Lake Alpine. We stopped at Columbia State Park on the way home.
I would come back again.
Thank you for the nice review of our cabin after your stay, and we are pleased that you enjoyed your time there. Come back and visit again!
Best Family Vacation
We had such a great time at this cabin. We spent one day fishing at Alpine, we had some beer and horse shoe at the Lube Room and we went to Moaning Caverns for the first time. It was so much fun!!
Nice and quiet. You feel really secluded because the neighbors cabins are not too close. Lots of things to do as well. One day we went 15 minutes up the road to sled in the snow, and the next day 5 minutes down the road to Big Trees State Park. Huge deck to hang out on and enjoy a beer and snacks, while watching the kids play around the huge property . Fun cabin for all.
