Beautiful home on a gated, immaculate landscaped property in Key Largo with BAY VIEWS! Enjoy the calm, clear waters of the bay on the kayak or paddle boards. If you are looking for a quiet month to relax and get away from it all, this is the place. Fantastic water views and MAGICAL sunsets. The private dock can be made available to boaters. Cable TV and internet provided. This is a very UNIQUE Florida Keys property.
No pool, but a walk in sandy beach area with a beautiful, large area to swim and float. A natural water Bay pool!

Summerwind = Perfection

We instantly fell in love with Summerwind from the minute we entered the gate, and you will too if you are fortunate enough to stay here. The house itself was spectacular. It is nestled in lush, beautiful trees, making it feel like a luxurious tree house. It was immaculately clean with plenty of high-end touches throughout and pretty much everything you could possibly need for a long-term stay was at your fingertips. The thoughtful layout, high ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling windows in every room made the house feel spacious and comfortable. There were so many added touches and modern conveniences that really made the house feel like a home. While the house was truly a dream, what we loved the most about our stay was the outdoor aspects of the property. The attention to detail in the landscaping is remarkable and landscapers visit the property regularly to maintain and enhance it. The house is steps from a bay-front oasis complete with a beach and dock. We spent countless hours here watching the sunsets, enjoying wine by the firepit, sunbathing in the hammock, stargazing at night, and observing the amazing array of sea life that frequents the reefs below the dock. It seemed like a new type of sea creature visited the reef every day; some of our favorites were the starfish, tarpon, rays, parrotfish, eels, lobster, and my personal favorite, a pair of baby nurse sharks! Last but certainly not least: the hosts! Laura and Dick are the most gracious and accommodating hosts, and they are also just wonderful people in general. They went above and beyond to ensure we were happy with our stay and I cannot say enough nice things about them. We hope to come back to Summerwind next year!

Winter Escape

Summerwind. As soon as you pull up to the gate, your greeted with this botanical family of arecaceae trees...and then your luxurious rental awaits you. This 2 bed 2 bath has fully stocked kitchen, unlike you have ever seen! Everything from serving dishes to a magic bullet where you can make fab frozen cocktails. Spice rack/cookware make staying in a breeze and eating at the 6 person dining table. Nice size sectional couch, modern luxury bathrooms with soap & lotions. Bedrooms have hangers and shelving for unpacking and getting settled in. All wrapped up with this tropical Florida décor to complete it. The outdoor balcony was so perfect and relaxing with a glass of wine staring at the ocean view. The bonfire pit complimented those cool evenings! We had stayed from end of Dec thru March 1st. Weather was 70-80 degrees everyday! Perfect location for that Florida sun. Coming from our brutal Wisconsin winters, was such a treat. Landscapers were there to rake sand where 2 sun loungers are, taking care of the beautiful palms, and cleaned up the bay. Which was perfect when taking the kayaks and paddleboards out. Even though their pier is not a fishing pier, the ocean life is breathtaking! We saw dolphins, manatees, all exotic fish. LED green underwater lights make evenings magical down at the pier. Owners also have a vacay home that is adjacent to the vrbo rental. They stayed few times and we became such great friends! Down to earth, truly sweet couple. Laura went out of her way to make sure our every wish was met. Anything we needed or desired was addressed and always had a solution to any requests. Key Largo's excursions: superb fishing, scuba diving, snorkeling charters made our stay so fulfilling and entertaining! Great restaurants, grocery store, and cute tourist shops all align the path on Hwy 1. We would recommend flying into Miami airport which is about hour 15 minutes away compared to Fort Lauderdale airport which is 90 miles away, and that traffic can get congested. Truly can not rate this VRBO rental high enough! We hope for this to become a winter tradition for us.

Total Relaxation

Far exceeded our expectations! Most well thought out house we’ve ever stayed in on vacation. Owners couldn’t have been more thoughtful in seeing to your every need. Felt like top level resort without all the people. We’re looking forward to our return!
