FAQs - Your Questions Answered:

NOTES FOR YOUR STAY:

Bear Country: Bear sightings are common in the area. Both small and large bears have been spotted. Respect their space and enjoy the wildlife from a safe distance.

Mountain Drive Ahead: Our cabin is perched at the VERY TOP of Kings Ridge mountain, requiring a scenic 7-minute drive on paved roads from the bottom to the summit. Be ready for curvy spots, but trust us, the breathtaking views make it all worthwhile!

Cleaning Protocols: Your safety is our priority. Our cabin is diligently cleaned by a local company servicing hotels in the area. Sanitization practices include:

Hot Tub: Drained, cleaned, and refilled after every guest. Fresh Bromine ensures proper sanitization.

Linens: Bedding, towels, and linens laundered in high-temperature settings exceeding recommended standards.

Home: Micro-Ban™ and Lysol™ used on surfaces, along with anti-microbial and disinfectants. Routine inspections ensure quality assurance.

Fireplace Operation: Our cast iron stove fireplace, integral to the antique logs' charm, runs on propane and operates from October to March. The control is a timer on the hearth's side—avoid touching any other part during operation.

Weather Considerations: Cancellations due to weather will not be permitted. In snowy or icy conditions, 4 Wheel Drive or Snow Chains are highly recommended.

Power Surges: Gatlinburg's mountainous terrain can cause power surges, triggering the fire alarm. If this occurs, it will sound briefly and stop. Please be aware during your stay.

Ladybugs and Millipedes: Ladybugs were introduced to control the pine beetle, while millipedes are common and harmless. Due to their ecological role, specific treatments are restricted. Your patience with these natural elements is appreciated.

Embrace the uniqueness of your Smoky Mountains retreat, where nature and history intertwine. We look forward to hosting your unforgettable stay!

Perfection
Pics are 100% accurate .. the property is spotless, perfectly located (10 min to fully stocked grocery, 12 min to Gatlinburg strip, 15 min to PF strip), and these owner aim to please. The kitchen is fully stocked with quality pans, utensils, etc. Blender, toaster, microwave, coffee drip maker, crockpots .. all provided. Plenty of bear sightings. You'll see the trails almost immediately in the draw in front of the cabin. This property is perfect for two adult couples + kids. The main level has a king bed ensuite, and the top level has the same .. so if someone can't use stairs easily, they can stay on main floor and never feel deprived. We'll definitely be back.

Relaxing, beautiful cabin! Stunning views!
This was our first time in the Great Smoky Mountains, and I didn't know what to expect. The road up to the house was winding and steep, but the views from the home were amazing! The pictures on VRBO do not do this cabin justice! It was so beautiful and so well maintained! Clean, clean, clean!! Although we went to the mountains for the main purpose of hiking, the cabin was close to Gatlinburg and not far from Pigeon Forge. After long days of hiking, we were able to go back to the cabin and enjoy the jets of the hot tub on our sore muscles. We felt so spoiled! Thanks so much to the owners for the great communication and sharing your beautiful cabin! You have something special!!

As advertised
The home was even better than the pictures. Location was great, just a few quick minutes to the heart of Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils. And the sunsets were stunning with perfect views from either balcony. I had a quick question for the owner and got a response within minutes. Just an overall fantastic experience.

Amazing Views
Wow, let me start off with how amazing the views are at this cabin. Absolutely breathtaking. Upon our arrival, the check-in was easy and smooth. House was immaculate and had all the essentials we needed. Just a fair warning, getting up to the cabin is a bit nerve racking, but just take your time getting up and make sure you have all wheel drive. We did have one issue with the hot tub not heating, but the host rectified the issue right away. If we were to return, we will definitely be back to rent this cabin.

Perfect Getaway Spot
Had a great stay. Pictures and descriptions are accurate. We had 4 adults, 2 per bedroom, and 2 kids in the basement/game room. It’s well equipped. Road is windy but they all are. Especially if you want a view and this spot has it.

Spring Break 2024
The cabin was everything that the owners said. However the road to the cabin was a little difficult on one turn because we had to go forward then back up and then go forward again. Maybe if we were in a smaller car it wouldn’t been so bad.

Our Birthday Weekend
This Cabin was gorgeous and it felt like we were on top of the world. The atmosphere felt amazing and the owners took great care to make sure that they stayed in contact with us up to our arrival and during our stay. They answered any questions that we had and the description for the cabin on VRBO was dead on. The scenic view and the sunsets were beautiful (Especially in the hot tub). We literally were on top of a mountain in between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We could see all the lights of Pigeon Forge at night time. The beds were so comfortable and the game room was a blast. We had everything we needed and when we walked into the cabin the owners had done a few extra things that made it more special. We were able to go to the titanic museum, Hatfield and McCoy dinner show, wine tasting, got some old time photographs taken of us all together (that was a great time), We went to Gatlinburg and walked around looking in the many shops and ate at some really nice restaurants. When we would get back to the cabin after a day of fun it was so relaxing and tranquil. We had a great time and when we come back to this area we would most definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay, the cabin is absolutely breath taking literally lol. The hottub was much needed after a long day of walking and hiking. The beds could be alil more comfortable, and the drive to get there is alil hard and scary that's the only negative thing I would say. But everything else was great!

Beautiful Stay in the Mountains
The cabin is beautiful. Upon arrival it was clean and well stocked with items you would need for your stay. De was prompt to answer questions and check in to make sure everything was going well. My family and I enjoyed the tic-tac-toe, connect 4, and pool games. The hot tub was also a hit. The road up is a little nerve wracking, but if you get there in the day it is easily managed. Highly recommend a stay here!

Great location
We loved the cabin the whole trip. The location was wonderful. Right near downtown and from the house you are so close you could see downtown gatlinburg and pigeon forge. The only tiny thing was a good bit of flys and lady bugs. The lady bugs were bad but the flys were a tiny bit annoying. If you keep the door shut they don’t get into the rooms. The hosts had wonderful communication the whole time during our stay as well!! They are just peachy.

Mountaintop Cabin
Beautiful cabin conveniently located to areas of interest. Cabin was very clean and well appointed. The only complaint is that the listing could have been more clear regarding the last stretch of road to get to the cabin. Our full sized truck could not make the last turn so we would end up having to back up that stretch of road.

Family get away
The drive up to the cabin can be tricky however even my son who drove a mustang was able to get up without an issue. The view is nice! The cabin is nice however needs a good cleaning (cobwebs and dust all around the cabin) and new linens. The pillows that were provided are well used and stained. There was not dish clothes to wipe the counter tops down. The downstairs. The day beds are on the small side, probably fine for children but my adult son said it wasn't very comfortable. However, the 2 king beds in the other bedrooms were very comfortable! The last and main issue. We drove up to the cabin on our first night to see construction right behind the cabin. THIS WAS SO DISAPPOINTING!! I immediately msged the owners. They offered a full refund if we left that night. That wasn't going to happen, not after a long day of traveling. I'm not going to lie, I felt duped. During the week with all the work trucks it made it a bit trickier to get out of the driveway as well. Sad to say there wasn't coffee on the decks in the morning due to the loud construction. It's stated to be "secluded" this is not anymore.

Amazing views and great location
This was our first time to the Smoky Mountains and it did not disappoint! The cabin is very nice and clean with a lot of room for a family. The views are so beautiful, pictures do not do it justice! The cabin is perfectly located between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge with endless activities to do in both towns. It is also secluded with just a couple other cabins near by but still far enough away that you won’t hear any noise from them. The drive up to the cabin is easy as long as you take it slow and be courteous of other drivers on the narrow mountain roads. There was one turn that you may have to back up to get around (a 2-3 point turn). We had no issues at all with the cabin itself, it has everything you would need as far as cooking goes. We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to return for another family vacation!

Beautiful get away in the mountains but close to downtown Gatlinburg.
The cabin was open, spacious and cozy all at the same time. Enjoyed the pool table and hot tub. Was really nice to feel that we were secluded but so close to the grocery store and downtown Gatlinburg. The only downfall was when the fog came, combined with the dark made it really tricky driving up the mountain. Overall great experience!
