Why Ken or Dia Peters chose Kailua-Kona
It’s by far the most convenient oceanfront condo in all of Kona. Makes it easy to monkey around.
What makes this Condo unique
Steps to the ocean and town. Yet also sequestered and quiet. It is an oceanfront hideaway.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
great views and location for a good price
The condo is right on the beach with beautiful sunset views. It was within walking distance to town and close to some beautiful beaches. It's great for a couple.
Kona is a breathe of fresh air.
This is the second time we stayed at Kona Reef. We stayed in a beach front place just steps away from the water. It was just spectacular. Every morning on the lanai watching the surfers and boogie boarders catching waves. at Honl's. We could walk downtown on minutes to catch a bite to eat. My husband and I didn't want to leave. Mahalo from Mark and Michaela Gerber.
We had a wonderful stay at Kona Reef. There are amazing views from our ocean front condo. Was very comfortable for a family of 4.
Beautiful view of sunsets
This property has an amazing view of the ocean and sunsets. Being on the bottom floor it was fairly quiet and we could not hear anyone above us. The AC works wonderfully. Bedroom is dark and quiet and the bed is super comfortable. The shower makes a mess everywhere and leaks water all over the floor which is a nuisance. It was nice having washer/dryer in unit but they were fairly loud and dryer shrunk our clothes (even on lowest setting). This is an older unit and definitely has a timeshare feel to it. We were contacted by the front desk of the complex for check in instructions and I had to call them for checkout instructions, no communication with the owner which I found odd. It needs a deep cleaning for all the dust. Overall, good price for the view and we would be willing to stay here again.
The cottage was an Awesome place to stay while on the Big Island. We enjoyed the pool, farm animals, both dogs who visited a couple of mornings, views from the porch, waterfalls, and the cottage itself. I was worried that it would be hot since there is no air and we would be there in July. I was pleasantly surprised that in the day it was much cooler on the east side of the island and at night there was a chill in the air which made it very comfortable to sleep.
I would highly recommend the cottage for anyone looking for a relaxing place to stay as a couple or with the family while on the Big Island. Our daughter loved sleeping upstairs in the loft. It is perfect for children. Thank you to Steve and Keala.
Thank you, but it seems this review is meant for a different property. We do not have a loft, we DO have air conditioning, and there are no farm animals.
Amazing place to stay in Kona
My family and I had a great time in Kona while staying at this beautiful condo. My son really enjoyed the tide pools right outside the back door. Thank you for sharing your place with us.
