Many things to love about our stay here. The view was beautiful. Had my coffee watching the ocean every morning. The close location to downtown I loved. We walked to dinner and back every night which made walking off all the incredible food we ate even better. Also loved how stocked the condo was with things most people would overlook. For example, boogie boards, reusable shopping bags, two coffee pots, (which I utilized), etc.. And lastly I will say the bed!! So comfortable and the sheets were the best I ever felt! Literally went home and ordered them for my house!

This was a very pleasant experience. Jan was very communicative throughout the process. The condo is wonderful. The kitchen contains every amenity that we could think of needing throughout our stay. The living room was very comfortable and the bedroom, including the bed and linens was also nice and cozy. Nice having the vanity separate from the toilet and tub/shower. Our favorite part, however, was the lanai. The view is beautiful and relaxing and we enjoyed it every morning and evening. We also took advantage of some of the outdoor Beach equipment that’s available. Every detail and eventuality has been thought through even in regards to the outdoor equipment. Lastly, we enjoyed the proximity to all the shopping and restaurants in the area. We enjoyed the 1 mile walk from our hotel to the very end of the immediate shopping and dining areas. Very quaint and picturesque. It reminded us of us a lot of Lahaina in many ways. We were so saddened when Lahaina burned and were pleasantly surprised at the similar feel of this area. Overall, we were very pleased and enjoyed our week celebrating our 33rd anniversary.

The best time of our lives

My girlfriend and I stayed at this amazing property and could not write a more glowing review. The view, the sound of the crashing waves, the unbeleivably convenient location (definitely eat at Lava Java!) and Cami set everything up perfectly. Pros: Location to town was amazing! Accommodations good. Condo as described. Communication was excellent. Cooler and chairs for use was fantastic. Great parking spot. Cons: Pool was not clean with cockroaches and other bugs floating in it, so could not swim at all. Kitchen (cupboards, plates, utensils) need deep cleaning, had to buy Clorox wipes for sticky surfaces and rewash any dishes we planned to use.

Aloha, We are so happy that you loved our location, accommodation, and all our amazing amenties--the parking is especially a huge offer, which we are aware that you took advantage of by leaving your car in the reserved parking space when you checked out hours late. I'm very disappointed that you felt that the cabinets and items inside were not clean. We in fact had just recently had an intensive pest control service, where they came in and removed everything from every cabinet, cleaned every item, and even replaced all the shelf and drawer liners. I know being a Mom of a new baby does make us way more aware of our surroundings, and bugs can get into an outdoor pool for sure. That could have been easily handled by the site manager skimming the pool with the net, if you had said anything to any of us at any time! With all the communications you had with our on-island management team, you did not bring up any of these issues and give them an opportunity to help, as they would have happily run over to do so. They were very surprised to hear you were displeased, and afterwards didn't mention to the host all the extra cleaning of rings on the glass and the KOA counter top which concerned them-- until hearing of your displeasure. We were all just happy with the thought of you enjoying your vacation with your baby girl, as none of these things were mentioned. Konamazing was fantastic!

The location of this condo is awesome. The view from the lanai is beautiful. There is not a beach but watching and listening to the waves crash on the shore is wonderful. We walked everywhere because everything is so close. Having a designated parking spot was great.The condo is clean, nicely furnished and really cute. It was perfect for my husband and I. Jan and Cami were great to work with. They even left us a bottle of champagne with chilled champagne glasses and nice card to help celebrate our anniversary. The bamboo sheets are amazing, I think I need some at home! The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need. The shower has plenty of water pressure. I would definitely stay here again! We came to Kona for our anniversary and were pleasantly surprised by the anniversary treats that the hosts left for us. They were very communicative and helpful. They gave us advice on things to do as well! The place was lovely - quiet and peaceful with the perfect view of the ocean and the pool. It had every amenity we needed for our week-long stay. Fantastic Rental with Great Hosts!

Issues with cleanliness, security and mold

We accidentally made our reservation with a Thursday check in for 2 nights, instead of Wednesday. Jan said we could move our reservation up a day, if we would pay more for Wednesday, which was fine. The day before check in, as instructed we called the property manager, Cami and left her a voicemail. The next day we still hadn’t heard from Cami, so we messaged Jan and only then did we finally receive the instructions via text from Cami. We also let Jan know that our flight was delayed, which she said wasn’t a problem. We arrived at the property and left almost immediately, due to health and safety concerns. There was black mold in the shower, the dishwasher had thick black mold around the filter, the air vents were extremely dirty, and the sliding patio door couldn't be locked or secured due to a portable a/c unit that was attached. We arrived at 8 pm, left by 8:20 and immediately reached out to Cami and sent pictures. We also sent Jan a message through VRBO. Once again, Cami never responded, and Jan didn’t reply until 4 am. Jan’s response essentially stated that we never reached out to Cami, and it was our choice not to stay in the condo. She said we should have allowed them to fix the issues. (Again, we left the condo at 8:20 pm and could not reach Cami or Jan. The first response we got back was 7-8 hours later.) We had everything documented with texts, emails and photos and thankfully VRBO was able to resolve the issue for us.

As Owners, we offer our immaculate oceanfront home with genuine Aloha spirit, providing immeasurable value for our amazing Guests. Read our reviews which show100% of five-stars-out-of-five possible. We are blessed that our valued Guests enthusiastically review that they experience our Aloha. "Best rental home we have ever stayed at" and other profound statements regularly show up in our Guests's reviews. Unfortunately, we have for the first time been disappointed that this one Guest who, against her spouse's wishes, within five short minutes after arriving in our tropical home dismantled our nearly new dishwasher and found a used filter in the back corner, to provide an excuse to depart our home? We allowed her to break the rental contract by entering our home and consequently demanding a full refund. We were confounded, but sometimes Guests change their minds for their accommodation so we went ahead and, no questions asked, graciously refunded her in full, with our sincere wishes that she be happier in her new rental. **We note that we still have not received photographs of these 'dirty and unsafe' items, and did not receive communication until after her twenty minute inspection and hasty departure (at midnight in our time zone). We recognize that sometimes our Guests are not a good fit for our amazing home, however, we send our wishes that you go in Aloha.
