Upbeat, large 2-bdrm flat to rent in the quaint, fun Marina District. Near restaurants, bars, and boutiques of Chestnut Street. Easy (and flat!) walk to many attractions, including the Palace of Fine Arts, the Presidio, Fort Mason, Fisherman's Wharf, Crissy Field and the beach. Perfect launchpad to explore it all. Bike over the Golden Gate Bridge and hop a ferry home. Head out for an urban hike. Easy access to Wine Country. Ideal for professionals & families. 30+ day stays only. Perfect for those undertaking a remodel or those lucky folks taking a long vacation!

The flat has been freshly renovated with marble baths, designer furniture, linen window treatments, wool carpets and dark hardwoods. At 1700 sq. feet, it's spacious and light-filled, with large bedrooms and comfy furniture throughout. Bedrooms are separated down the hallway from living, dining and cooking spaces. The master has a king bed and en-suite bath with heated floors. The second bedroom has queen and twin beds, a desk, and bath down the hall. Both bedrooms feature comfy duvets, blackout shades, wool carpeting and ample storage. Baths are bright and spotless. Eat-in kitchen with Viking, Bosch and Sub-Zero appliances and microwave. Separate dining room leads into living room with Marshall speaker, wifi and Apple TV. DVDs, games, beach towels and some sports equipment are available. Washer/dryer in the unit. This is the top flat of a two-unit building. The home is self-contained for utmost privacy on a quiet street.

Exquisite!

The one word title describes everything about this property & the host, Kristen. The apartment is stunning, recently entirely renovated with no expense saved. More stunning than the description on VRBO. The accessories in the kitchen, bathrooms, and for outdoor activities are more than we could possibly have imagined. And Kristen's responses to questions are always lightning fast. The neighborhood is fabulous and extremely well situated -- 1/2 block to the Marina green, 5-minute walks to Chestnut Street and a large Safeway, and about a 30-minute walk to the Presidio. We were there for 6 weeks, and will return for 4 months in January. All in all, the best VRBO among our many stays abroad and in San Francisco. I considered writing a horrible review so that we could stay here whenever we choose, but that just wouldn't be right.

Everything Perfect!

We stayed for 4 months in this outstanding unit. It’s even nicer than the photos suggest. It has been totally rehabbed recently — the bedrooms are huge, the bathrooms large & pristine, and the light throughout is amazing. The kitchen has high-end appliances & is fully stocked. The location — a half block from the Marina Green & wide open views of the Golden Gate Bridge & Alcatraz — is perfect. In the other directions are a 5-minute flat walk to Chestnut Street, a Safeway, and about a 5-minute drive to the Presidio. The owner, Kristen, responds by text within literally minutes to every question, request, or need. She is also an absolute pleasure & no inquiry is too small. In all, among many wonderful VRBO experiences in different areas of the world, our stay in this unit was the very best.

Why they chose this property

I love the Marina District because it gives me both urban and nature in one place. It's a quaint, traditional SF neighborhood with shopping, theaters and restaurants right out the front door. But turn in the other direction, and you can walk, run or bike to the Marina Green, Crissy Field beaches, and the Presidio. I love birdwatching along the dunes and at the Palace of Fine Arts. And I love a good pizza at A16. And zipping around the windy streets on my Aqua Vespa makes it all the more fun. I really love this place!

The flat is upbeat, light-filled and spacious. But what makes it super special is it's location. It's walking distance to:
