On the ground floor of a house on a quiet cul-de-sac in a good, safe neighborhood in the geographical center of The City. Private entrance. The bedroom has a queen bed. The (larger) sitting room has a single bed, which looks sort of like a sofa, as well as a real sofa. Both rooms look out at the garden. Private bath with shower. WiFi. Wood floors. Excellent bus connections: Downtown/Beach; Marina/MIssion. Garage available: $15 a night.. Neighborhood is flat, so easy walk to Golden Gate Park, Laurel Village, Clement St.. Easy walk to three foodie destinations: Arsicault (best croissants in the country); Arguello Market (best sandwich—turkey—in the city); Hong Kong Lounge II (dim sum as good as in Hong Kong). Also nearby: a classic diner, many coffee shops and restaurants, post office, pharmacy, banks, and FedEx. Warning: no TV; no stove (there is a microwave and mini-fridge and electric kettle). My theory is to give you good value on lodging so you can enjoy our very expensive city.

We had a very nice stay. Great location, lots is walkable. Apartment is spacious and comfortable. You many not have a columbarium on your SF must-see list, but it's super close and you really should go.
Any time I'm considering staying a property I'll check negative reviews just because, and I have to say, pretty much any for here are because someone didn't read the description thoroughly OR possibly hasn't stayed (or paid) in this city before. I very much hope to return. Thanks, Howard!
Had a great stay!
Perfect vacation! The rental was clean, warm and perfectly located. We hope to stay again and the owner was very friendly and helpful. Also, sat in the Rose garden with our morning coffee.
Convenient place in San Francisco, with garage!
We made this place our "home base" in the San Francisco phase of our Northern California sightseeing tour. We left our car in the garage, and took Ubers to the touristy parts, on the east side of town. For longer day-trips (Golden Gate Bridge, Muir Woods, Sausalito), we drove, using the less-crowded freeways on the west side. This is a cozy place on the first floor, behind the garage,. You walk through the garage, to get to the apartment. The front room is the living/dining area, with a miniature kitchenette/bar in an alcove. The roomy bedroom is further to the rear. The friendly, helpful owner lives in the upstairs apartment, and we met him during our arrival.
Cozy, comfortable, convenient location, considerate owner
This is a small, well maintained, cozy place in a very pretty, quiet neighborhood, with convenient access to the whole city. Howard is helpful and considerate. Kitchen lacks a stove, but we did fine for breakfasts with coffee maker, toaster, microwave, and fridge. Even boiled eggs with the kettle! And there are plenty of good restaurants nearby. Parking our rented car in the garage was a treat. Overall, and excellent stay. NB: this is SF: chilly at night. We used his good space heaters (and towel warmer) every night.
I'm glad you muddled through the no-stove situation, but you might have noticed the alert (no tv, no stove) I had included in the property listing.
Great Location, Cozy Space
This was a really sweet little space with two sleeping spaces in a really safe neighborhood. Being able to park in the garage for $15.00 a night was a big plus. We walked to several great spots to eat and the bus into town is within easy walking distance as well. This was within ten minutes of UCSF and Sutter Pacific Memorial for doctor's appointments.
Quirky and inviting
The location is great being close to geary st and in walking distance of golden gate park .
