Fully furnished house set up for quiet relaxation and enjoyment including cable TVs and digital phone service. Upstairs there is a loft bedroom with 2 twin beds and a second bedroom with a queen bed plus a second floor full bathroom. The master bedroom is located on the first floor and has a king size bed, a cable TV and a private entrance to the 1st floor bathroom. The patio off the dining area is equipped with table, chairs and gas grill. Designated parking for 2 cars is right next to the house making the trip from car to house very short.

We wanted a second home in an area we could enjoy year round. Being avid golfers who also enjoy the beach this area had it all .

Why Lin or Ken chose North Myrtle Beach

The location was awesome. Close to the beach but quiet and secure. Being an avid golfer the Myrtle Beach area is a golfers dream come true. No noisy neighbors here. Our first trip to Myrtle Beach we stayed in a hotel in the heart of Myrtle Beach and it was awfully congested and to much noise for rest and relaxation. This is a real home away from home. When you retire for the night you will not hear people walking in the condo above you.

What makes this house unique

No problem parking. Quiet, safe, secure friendly neighborhood. There are more golf courses to play than time to play them all. Our house is within walking distance to an old fashioned ice cream shop ( Mr. G's) to visit in the evening. As one of our guests told us, this was the first time he actually went home feeling refreshed and rested. He said it was great to be able to depend on having a parking place a few feet from the house after being out for the evening or coming back from the grocery store.

Notes:
Old fashioned beach atmosphere. Walk to Mr. G's ice cream shop or Molly Darcys Pub in the evening. The house is beautifully furnished , bright and in a safe and cozy area. No high rise elevators to wait for and easy no waiting check in and above all no noise from the neighbors. Assigned parking for 2 cars makes coming and going to the house a breeze. Close proximity to NMB sports complex which now has zip lines and the new Go Ape tree top adventure.

Wonderful house with great location to everything! Nice neighborhood, clean, beautiful place

Enjoyed the house so much that we can't wait to come back! Had not stayed in North Myrtle area since I was a kid. It had been 30 years! Love it so much more now than Myrtle Beach! Beach was a short 1/2 block walk and the access was easier than we've ever experienced! My mother is handicapped to the extent that she walks with a cane and can't do steps. She had easy access from parking spot to a straight walk in. No steps for her as she was downstairs and then going to beach it was straight in with no decking steps. She was so impressed with how easy it was for her! Really appreciated being able to bring our older little poodle. She was thrilled to be with us and this place was so much cleaner than most places that allow pets! Loved having all the amenities we have at home. Our 10 year old twin daughters say they never want to stay in condo or hotel again. We all loved having the extra space to move around, not having to fight people for stinky hot elevators at the hotels or for parking spots. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. Loved the ice cream at Mr G's and our neighbors for the week. We ate at Duffy Street Seafood Shack on Main Street and it was a happening spot! The crab legs and fried fish were great as was the carrot cake and key lime pie! Also, tried Benito's Brick Oven out on the main drag from the house. Pizza was so good we ate there again another night. Had the chicken parm and fettuccini Alfredo. Had Kings Famous Pizza also. It was good but we preferred Benito's. Nacho Hippo was good Mexican food. Pirate's Voyage was a hit with the kids. Barefoot Landing was close by and we drove to Broadway at the Beach and up to Pawley's Island. Not a long drive to get to those areas either. Just steer clear of high traffic times. We didn't want to leave and hope to return again some day. Great vacation!

Great house

This is a great property. Super location, clean, dog friendly, nicely furnished, good mattresses too, good water pressure, nice/friendly owners, good & easy parking, fair price. These are the 9 things I was looking for in a rental. This property exceeded my expectations on each item. Would recommend this property to a friend.

Another great week with the family

This is the seventh time we have stayed at 1608 Holly Drive. Lin does a great job keeping the place super clean and well furnished. The decor is very nice too. Being a stand also home, you're not worried about noisy neighbors above you or just one thin wall away. Nice little patio area with a grill to cook-out and have a beer or relax in the morning with a cup of coffee.

We always enjoy going there with our kids who begg us to return every year, and having a great time at the beach and all the wonderful places to play, eat and entertain ourselves.

We really enjoy playing Putt-putt golf every night, having ice cream at Mr. G's just steps away from the house, or walking around Main Street, Barefoot Landing, or Broadway at the Beach.

The beach is especially nice because it's a few steps away and not crowded like other very popular destinations. You can enjoy a good bit of sand all to yourself relaxing without the huge tourist crowds.

Looking forward to returning you our favorite summer getaway.

My family and I spent our vacation here. This is the 4th time we have stayed with Ken and Lin. We love the house and its a perfect size for 6 adults and our miniature poodle Lilly! Very peaceful area and so close to everything! We will be back and will recommend it to others!

Great location, quiet, clean, had everything we needed

We spent a week -- 2 people in their 50s, 2 in their teens, one in his 40s and one in her 80s. Plus a little chihuahua. There was plenty of room for all of us without feeling crowded. Lots of closet space, so we weren't living out of our suitcases the whole time. That really helped us feel settled and at home.

The house is very well kept, with beautiful decorations, and the location was the best. We could walk to the beach in a few minutes, or down to Mr. G's for ice cream and treats, or though the public walkway to a *very* nearby convenience store. The street is quiet, but very close and easy to navigate out to the main highway. Having two people with bad knees in our group, it was helpful to be a short distance from the public beach access that has the ramp (next to Molly's Irish Pub).

The loft bedroom with the twin beds is best given to the younger people in your group, as you might expect. Those with bad backs and/or old bodies (like mine) will find the other beds more comfortable. In fact, the king sized bed in the master suite is very, very comfortable and puts my bed at home to shame!

We found the kitchen well stocked with pots and pans, utensils, etc. The towels and linens were good, too. There is a grill on the patio, along with table and chairs if you can stand the heat. Plenty of great places to eat out, too. We particularly enjoyed Boardwalk Billy's for seafood, off Hwy 17.

Lin and Ken have made this a great place to stay, including brochures for local attractions and guest books from former occupants with additional suggestions. Lin was very responsive to any questions, and I emailed her a few times those first couple of days until I felt like I knew my way around. It was my first time arranging a vacation rental, and they made the process easy with no stress.

If you want a lot of hustle and bustle, with grand balconies overlooking the sea, this is not the place for you. If you want a quiet, clean, lovely place with the feeling of home, yet still close to everything you need in a beach town, this is the perfect place for you. After a long day at the beach, or driving through the city with all the crowds, this home really did feel like a little sanctuary, a place to rest and restore before the next day's activities.

Reasonable offers considered if house is still available 3 weeks prior to your anticipated arrival. We do NOT rent to vacationing students. Saturday to Saturday rentals during summer season. Reservation/damage deposit needed to book reservation. Refundable security/damage deposits are $250 with no pet, $300 crated pet or $400 non crated pet . Pets accepted on a case by case basis and will incur pet fee and additional security deposit. Pet fee weekly $125 during peak season and $100 week off season. Off season per night pet charge $15-$30 depending on size of dog per night for less than 7 night stay. Snowbird rental rate upon request.

We accept personal or bank checks only. Refundable reservation/security deposit of $250 without a pet, $300 with a crated pet and $400 with an non crated pet to reserve. Half of rent due 10 weeks before arrival with remainder due 4 weeks before vacation. Cancellation will result in loss of reservation deposit.
