This four bedroom house on Miacomet Pond is perfect for families. It offers the best of both worlds, being private and serene on the pond while centrally located. Your morning may start with coffee on the large deck or in the sunroom overlooking the pond, enjoying the sights and sounds of the local birds. Swan, Blue Herron and Red Winged Black Birds among others delight in this serene setting. Adventurous types might enjoy a paddle on the pond or exploring in the kayak. Proximal to conservation land you can appreciate the natural unspoiled beauty of the island. Take a left from the driveway and you can access walking, biking and equestrian trails. Taking a right from the driveway you can quickly arrive at Miacomet beach, Surfside beach, Cisco or Ladies beach to name a few. Head down a few blocks to local coffee and lunch shops. From here you can go to town (5 minute drive) or access more paved bike trails. Cisco Brewery, Island Kitchen, 167 Fish Market and Bartlett's farm are local favorites and also very convenient to this location.

After a day at the beach you may enjoy a refreshing outdoor shower and cooking dinner in the well appointed open kitchen. The evening offers a different view of the. pond and makes a beautiful backdrop for a family dinner on the deck. In the large family room and sunroom everyone has a place to relax, read, watch a movie or play games.

The primary bedroom has a king bed and ensuite bathroom. This bathroom as well as the second floor guest bathroom was completely renovated in the spring of 2021.

We loved staying at this home! Chris was so helpful and communicative during the reservation process. The house was spacious, clean and had everything you would need during your stay with the most incredible view over Miacomet Pond. We would definitely stay here again!

Great house

Great stay. The owner is super responsive and helpful with any questions. Very cool staying right in Miacomet pond and waking up to swans in the stream and wonderful wildlife. Place is clean and a/c works well. Worked out well for our family vacation.

Nantucket holiday

We had a great time on Nantucket! The house is in a great location and feels like a family home… very comfortable! The swans and deer and all their friends kept us company throughout our stay which was a nice treat. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen had everything you’d need, and each room is decorated with beautiful artwork. Overall a great visit!

House was excellent, backyard is perfect for BBQ dinners and morning breakfast on the pond… Nice short walk to 45 Surfside or yummys for coffee and sandwiches for the beach. Bedrooms and bathrooms are perfect

A little slice of heaven

This was our favorite Vrbo stay the house was clean immaculate and had every kind of kitchen utensil. The owner was wonderful. The caretaker was wonderful. We stayed on the deck all the time and we were close to town and the beaches. We will definitely rent this again.

Hidden gem

Well-appointed and well-cared for house on Miacomet Pond. Owner very responsive and helpful. Kitchen well stocked. Back deck overlooking pond and wildlife ( deer, ducks, swans, egret) made for such a restful and lovely gathering spot for family and friends. Walk to miacomet beach takes about 30-40”; quick drive Convenient location. Highly recommend.

Absolutely Perfect

This house was absolutely amazing. It accommodated our entire group more than comfortably. It was close enough to town, only a 5-minute car ride and also in a very quiet area of the Island. I highly recommend staying at this property. We'll definitely be back! Thanks again to the owners for such wonderful accommodations!

Highly, highly recommend

Stayed for Stroll weekend with family. Well-appointed, very clean, plenty of space for a group of eight. Views of water, ducks, deer and other wildlife was so lovely to wake up to each morning. Convenient, mid-island location to be anywhere on the island in 10 minutes by car. Highly recommend. We will be back!

Nantucket Girls Trip 2023

The house was perfect for our group. The setting is beautiful - over looking a peaceful pond...plenty of comfortable outdoor seating for reading books, socializing and meals. There are kayaks and a canoe for guest use. The interior is lovely, beds are comfortable, kitchen is large and sunny and well equipped. Plenty of room to relax inside as well. Great location mid island makes it easy to explore any direction. Communication with owner easy. Highly recommend and we look forward to returning!

Fantastic Nantucket Retreat

The house was lovely, even better than the photo’s with a beautiful deck leading down to the pond, an idyllic spot. We were a group of 6 friends and the setup worked very well for us, the living spaces were superb, open plan and the kitchen had everything we needed, we really appreciated that it was fully stocked with all the kitchen implements you’d need. House is well situated, we could cycle to all the beaches and there were a lot of extras that came with the house such as lots of boogie boards, a couple of kayaks, 2 paddle boards and a rowing boat which we made good use of. Highly recommend, we liked it all!

Best stay yet!

We've been coming to Nantucket for years and this is by far our favorite place. So beautiful and peaceful! Enjoyed coffee every morning on porch watching the wildlife on the pond. Well appointed house with plenty of room for 2 families. Walking trail behind that leads to Miacomet Beach. Easy bike ride out to Surfside Beach. Walking distance to Easy Riders bikes, Brix wine, 45 Surfside Cafe, Muse pizza, and several WAVE stops. Local caretaker was extremely helpful and got back to us promptly with answers to ur questions. Can't wait to come back!

Perfect Nantucket Home

What a wonderful week we had at Tranquility in Nantucket! The listing certainly does not do it justice. It is a beautiful home with all of the amenities needed for a relaxing and fun vacation. We are a family who cooks. So we were very pleased at the amount of the kitchen utensils, pots and pans. We spent most of our time in the mornings and evenings on the beautiful deck watching wildlife swim, fly or walk by. The house is located is a good location. My girls rented bikes in order to get to town and to the beach. Everything is walkable, but a car is recommended. Our interaction with Chris was great. He replied immediately to questions before and during the trip! We have been coming to Nantucket for 40 plus years and this house is a hidden treasure. My family and I would love to return to this home next year!

Summer bliss

We had a wonderful few weeks at Chris’s property. The location is extremely close to town and right next to expansive conservation land trails. My kids loved taking the kayaks Chris provided down the pond to Miacomet beach. We all loved watching the birds and other wildlife from the back patio. Chris is an extremely responsive host who makes great efforts for his guests to be comfortable. We’re looking forward to visiting this property again next summer.

The perfect location for a quiet Nantucket vacation

My wife and I spent 8 nights at the house and our stay was perfect. The owners were great with communication and the process of checking in was a breeze. The property itself was way more space than the two of us needed and I think would be well suited for two couples with children. The home amenities were great and met all of our needs, even exceeding a few. Highly recommend if you are someone who likes to cook. The kitchen has a great layout and high quality appliances. Fully stocked with everything you would need to cook a variety of different meals and cuisines. Compared to other rentals we have stayed at I was particularly impressed with the quality of the cookware including sharp Henckles knives and decent pots/pans. Only minor issue I would share is that that bathrooms are a little dated. Highlight of the property is the deck and view of Miacomet pond. Throughout the day you will see a variety of wildlife. Ducks, Geese and Swans are a near constant. More than once we saw Deer, Rabbits, Turtles, large Fish swimming in the pond and even a few snakes. Great place to enjoy your coffee, have drinks or a meal. We did not have a car on the island and we’re able to access almost everywhere via bike. Miacomet beach is a 10 minute ride, Bartlett’s Farm and Cisco Brewery took 15 and Cisco beach took 20. We used Uber to get into town and venture over to Madaket without issue Great property. We are already considering booking again for next year.

Terrific house in great location!

Our group of five had plenty of room to stretch out. 8 people would be comfortable staying here. Immaculately clean, well appointed home close to shopping and beaches. Since we like to cook, we really appreciated the well equipped kitchen. Best part was the large deck overlooking Miacomet Pond. Very relaxing and tranquil. We ate outside almost every night. Highly recommended.
