Mulligan's Lodge is perfectly situated overlooking the Big Thompson close that you will feel like you can reach out and touch it! Top it all off with views of Prospect Mountain and the snowcaps of the Continental Divide and you have the perfect Rocky Mountain retreat.

From our home it is just a short walk into the Town of Estes Park and an easy 1.5 mile drive to the Beaver Meadows entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park.

The main level great room has a moss rock gas fireplace to gather at with river and mountain views all artwork needed on these walls! This is simply the ideal family gathering place with its adjoining fully equipped kitchen and dining room area (seating for 9). Gaze out to take in the perfectly clear Colorado sky, river and mountain views!!

From the great room you can step out to a fantastic deck to enjoy excellent mountain views along with the sights and sounds of the Big Thompson River! Take it all in while enjoying a cup of morning coffee, evening glass of wine, reading a good book or cooking dinner on the gas grill!

The cozy master bedroom en suite is also located on the main level. Open the windows and let the sounds of the Big Thompson lull you to sleep.

A second family room is located in the lower level along with 2 queen bedrooms and a full bath. From this level you can walk-out onto the patio and spot elk and other wildlife moseying along the Big Thomson River! Or simply sit back and relax, and enjoy the view!

And a BONUS.....enjoy the AIR CONDITIONING (a rarity for homes in Estes Park!) on those hot summer days!!!!

A two car attached garage space comes with this rental. We also have a main floor laundry room.

As our guest you will enjoy access to HOA-shared common fishing areas along the Big Thompson river.

About The Owner

We have lived in Greeley, Colorado since 1972 as does our son’s family. We winter in Tucson, Arizona so we have the BEST of both worlds.

Your stay is being facilitated for us by our friends Mark and Sue Werder of AspenHaus Lodge.

After he spent many summer vacations as a child, with his family in Estes Park, Nick always dreamed of owning in a cabin in the Rocky Mountains.

What makes this house unique

We love the location of this townhouse as it is halfway between the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park and downtown Estes Park with all its restaurants, shopping and activities. The new construction has many attractive amenities & upgrades, including air conditioning, all new appliances, etc., and a GREAT location right ON the river. The great room’s wall to wall, floor to ceiling windows bring the great outdoors into view the moment you step inside. Handmade log beds and Colorado lodge furnishings combined with modern conveniences like granite counters will make your Rocky Mountain stay memorable.

Absolutely Wonderful!!

We had a wonderful stay at this gorgeous property! Sue was wonderful to assist us with booking, and she was equally as wonderful to check on us just prior to, and after, our arrival. The property itself is beautiful on the Big Thompson River. Our two young children especially enjoyed exploring the river, where we saw several deer and river otters during our stay. The home was perfect to meet our needs for our family of four, and my in-laws, who joined us. We enjoyed eating meals and playing games at the family table with beautiful views! We enjoyed our time at this wonderful home so much. Our only wish is that checkout was not so early in the day--we were not quite ready to say goodbye to these wonderful views and the sound of the river. Thank you for helping us create lasting family memories in such a beautiful location.

After over 30 years of rental properties in Estes Park...the best, by far!

I don’t use this word often, but Mulligan’s Lodge was PERFECT! The owners were able to achieve the delicate balance of a beautiful appointed property and a truly warm/inviting home. While the short drive into both town and the RMNP were extremely convenient, the absolute best about the location of this home is the unobstructed view and close proximity of the river!! It was a constant source of entertainment for our grandchildren - whether wading in the river’s edge or stone skipping/throwing contests. The sound of the rushing water provided the peaceful retreat that you go to a mountain lodge for. Clearly, the river attracted more than human interest...every day we could watch all kinds of wildlife...closer than you see them in n the Park! From chipmunks to river otters, deer and elk, we were able to watch, and in the case of the calling elk, listen to wildlife sightings every day. As my title suggested, we have been coming to Estes Park for well over 30 years. In that time we’ve stayed in accommodations ranging from the Stanley Hotel to rented cabins and homes. By far, this was our best choice. We think it played a huge part in the success of the trip for the adults and, even more importantly, the appreciation of nature “so close and personal” for our grandchildren. Without a doubt...we will return! Thanks, Mulligan!

Mulligan's Lodge

We recently had a family vacation at Mulligan's Lodge. The accommodations were exceptional! We enjoyed spending time and grilling on the deck and watching the wildlife get close to the property. Our grandson loving referred to it as the '3 Bear's House.' Sue was very welcoming and ensured all of our needs were met. Her advance communication was much appreciated. Thanks for a memorable time!

Beautiful house with amazing view

We absolutely loved Mulligan's Lodge. We were a group of seven friends and everyone still talks about the view from the living room overlooking The Big Thompson River. We especially enjoyed sitting on the deck overlooking the river while drinking our morning coffee. The house is very spacious, and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was more than we expected. Overall the house is very well maintained and clean. I can not say enough about Sue. Thank you so much for all of your efforts in helping make our stay a very special one. We would definitely love to stay at Mulligan's Lodge again.

Cancellation Policy-
If we receive notice 60 days (Peak)/30 days (non-Peak) before the date of your scheduled arrival, we will refund your deposit less $100 of it for administrative costs. If you notify us after 60 days but prior to 30 days from the date of your arrival, the full amount of your deposit will be retained. If you cancel within 30 days of the date of your arrival, you will be held responsible for the full amount of the charge for lodging. Note: For rentals of 30 days or more no refund will be given for cancellations within 120 days of reservation.
In all cases we will make every effort to re-book the property; and, if successful, we will refund a pro-rated share less administrative expenses.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
