This oceanfront Slice of Paradise is the ideal location for a great vacation! Located directly on the beautiful beach of Ormond Beach, Florida, you will love the convenience, comfort, and real oceanfront life here. The oceanfront Slice of Paradise is located on the 2nd floor of the building and faces the beach directly -no streets to cross, no side views or buildings or obstructions of any kind. The waves are literally only a stone's throw away.

Relax on the balcony sipping your coffee as the sun comes up over the Atlantic ocean, hear the waves crash and feel the salty ocean breezes - what a way to start the day! The swimming pool is also directly on the ocean so you can hang out by the pool or the beach or perhaps decisions!!

The oceanfront Slice of Paradise has a queen size Murphy bed which pulls down very easily and folds back up into its cabinet just as easily. There is a four burner stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee-maker, dishes, pots and pans, silverware, bath towels and beach towels. Yes, there is a blender, a wine corkscrew, and a blowdryer. No, there is not shampoo so please bring your own. There is a coin laundry on premises on the same floor down the hall. There is a bicycle rack if you want to bring your bicycles. The building has an elevator and luggage cart for your convenience. Please return the luggage cart to the ground floor after using.

Pizza Hut is across the street, a convenience store Sunoco is also across the street, and ABC liquor store is a block away, Publix (grocery store)and some great outlet shopping is a 3 minute drive away. Lots of restaurants & nightlife nearby. Daytona Beach is only 2 miles down the road. Come stay at the oceanfront Slice of Paradise and enjoy life at the beach! The Slice is Nice!!

PS - I took this off VRBO for the past 2 years and am just now putting it back on as of October 13 2017. And as for that review I never heard from her, no idea what she was talking about. But there is brand new rug, different sofa, etc., since she stayed there. No one else ever complained about anything ever! I am only 25 minutes from the unit so if something is wrong let me know and I will fix it!

I live in Ormond Beach about 25 minutes away from this unit. I am a true local here, having lived in Ormond since 1967. I have owned this unit for 12 years and have many repeat renters year after year. I took it off VRBO for a couple years and am now putting it back on as of October 2017. FYI - the review from 2014 was ridiculous and she never responded to me. Rug and sofa have since been replaced of course anyway but only due to age.

This particular unit is very convenient to the beach - takes approx. 3 minutes from your front door to the sand! A nice Sunoco convenience store is right across the street. There's a Family Dollar and a ABC Liquors about a block away, the Beach Bucket Bar & Grill about a 10 - 15 minute walk down the beach, and a Starbucks, TGI Friday's, Bonefish Grill, Outback, Publix, Bealls, Bealls Outlet, Dollar Tree, Denny's, and more - all within a 2 mile radius of this unit. Ideal Location for your perfect Vacation!

What makes this condo unique

The views from the balcony never get old. There is nothing like looking straight out at the big blue Atlantic Ocean right in front of you. Sunrise is my favorite time of day to enjoy the balcony. The sound of the waves, the sunlight on the water, and the sea breeze just make you feel alive. I have seen dolphins many times and even the occasional whale or sea turtle. It is always changing, always beautiful and quite magical. I also love that its so close to all the great restaurants in the area, just 5 minutes to Outback or Bonefish and many more.

Peaceful Retreat

The unit is just north of Daytona in Ormond Beach, which is nice for those of us who don't want to "be in the middle of the action" all the time. I enjoyed driving into Daytona, but also enjoyed returning to the less chaotic atmosphere offered at the building.

As you walk through the front door, the bathroom is immediately to your left. I LOVED the size/style of the shower and the water pressure was average; the towels were also nice and soft. Coming out of the bathroom there is a space for you to hang clothes and it was a nice sized space. You then get to the main area where the kitchen and sitting area are located; the unit no longer has mirrors the full length of the wall - no complaints there. The kitchen area is just as it appears in the photographs. The Murphy bed gets 3.5 stars as it isn't the worst one I've slept on. However, I would consider replacing the frame as it was a little rusty. The couch SERIOUSLY needs to be replaced it is the most uncomfortable couch I've ever sat on and my back will pay for sitting on it for at least the next week or two. The unit now has a large flat screen TV (not the one in the picture) and that was nice. The piece of carpet between the couch and the television needs to be thrown out - I won't get into the reason on here (sending the owner a private message). The section of the wall behind the TV needs to be repainted as there were some dirty looking spots above the baseboard. I walked around in flip-flops inside because the tile floors felt a little sticky which made me uncomfortable. The balcony is the perfect size for two people and has an outstanding view, but I would suggest the owner purchase larger, more comfortable chairs. The pool was never crowded, but I would suggest that open/closing times are put into place with a suggestion of 10 PM being the closing time as some people don't respect the fact that others are going to bed a little early due to driving home the next day, etc. I was never able to get on Wi-fi, but just took that as a sign that I should "unplug" and enjoy my time away from home.

The couple who manages the building are EXCEPTIONALLY nice people and I saw the husband patrolling the grounds about every 30 minutes which was comforting.

As far as contact with the owner, she was wonderful at responding to my questions.

Owner's Response: I never received a private message about the rug and no one else has ever complained about this rug or couch or any of the things that you mention. It is a very reasonably priced true oceanfront unit. The unit is thoroughly cleaned after every stay. Is it a 5-star deluxe unit? No, and it is not represented as such. For the vast majority it is a great little vacation spot on the beach that is clean, well located, and affordable.
